Storm

Setting my backpack on one of the shelves in my wardrobe, I started arranging my outfit for tomorrow. Selecting a pair of black yoga pants with lime green pin stripes that ran down the sides, along with a lime green long sleeved tee shirt and a dark purple zip up jacket, and a pair of Nike runners. I put the clothes on the shelf beside my backpack ready for in the morning.

With my outfit and everything I needed ready for tomorrow morning; I made my way downstairs where I found Felix and Winter snuggled up on the couch watching a movie. When Winter saw me, she smiled, and I sat beside her on the couch, and watched the movie until it was time for us to make our way into the dining room for dinner. When we got into the dining room, I felt relieved when I saw that Winter, Felix and I were the only ones who would be eating dinner that evening. Everyone else must have been out, as there were no other places set at the table.

The three of us ate our meal quietly. We didn’t speak during dinner. I knew that Winter would be worried that we might be overheard by somebody. After dinner, the three of us decided that we should get an early night. Once I had made my way back upstairs to my bedroom, I cleaned my teeth before I shifted into my wolf form and curled up on my bed. I felt as though I had only just closed my eyes when Winter was shaking me awake. When I saw her standing there smiling at me, I jumped out of bed and made my way into my adjoining bathroom. I shifted back into my human form and took a hot shower. I felt just like a little kid on Christmas morning, as I stood in the shower and thought about the possibilities this move was going to bring me. This was the start of my new life; I was finally getting out of this hell hole. Soon I was going to be free! Once I was finished getting dressed, I quickly did my hair and makeup. Once I was done, I made sure that I had everything I needed before I grabbed my backpack and slipped it onto my shoulder.

I quietly made my way out of my bedroom, heading downstairs.

When I got downstairs, I saw Winter and Felix sitting on the lounge chair waiting for me. As soon as they saw me, they smiled and stood up.

We quickly made our way out to the garage and got into Winter’s car, and a moment later we were leaving the compound and heading towards Houston International Airport.

Felix had planned for one of his associates to pick the car up from the airport and drop it back at the pack’s territory. He had initially planned to have his associate drop it back at the pack house, but Winter had said no to that plan. She had feared for the safety and wellbeing of his associate.

I knew that once we got to the airport, that I would have to quickly hide on the plane the moment we arrived, so that I wouldn’t run the risk of being seen. On the way to the airport, we drove through a McDonald’s drive-thru and brought our breakfast. Leaving the McDonalds, we drove for a few minutes, before we pulled up at a small park, and once we had parked in the car park, we quietly ate our breakfast as we sat in the car.

While we were eating our breakfast, Winter leaned over and pulled a cell phone and charger out of the glove box of the SUV and handed them to me. Seeing my confusion, she said, “It’s an untraceable cell phone with SMS encryption. You need to remove your SD card from your current cell phone so that you have your photos and videos. But you can’t take your current cell phone with you. Mason and dad could track it. Don’t worry though. I have put mine and Felix’s phone numbers in this one for you in case you need to get hold of either of us. I have also saved your new phones number into our phones. This phone is untraceable. But even though the phone is untraceable, you can’t risk reaching out to Kat! So that means no social media, and no emails. I am serious about this Storm; we can’t risk Mason and dad finding you. I know it sucks, but you have got to let her and anyone else you care for go. As much as it hurts, you need to leave them behind. This isn’t just for your safety; it is also for theirs. Imagine what Mason and dad could do to anyone they had reason to believe you were in contact with. I mean it shouldn’t be too hard to imagine given what the pair of them have done to us, and what dad did to mom. So, let them go; Okay? This is your best chance to make a good life for yourself, so embrace it.”

After uploading my media files to my iCloud account, I did what she had said and put the SD memory card into my new phone. Then I opened my backpack and removed the phone charger for my old phone and sat it on the floor in the back of the SUV, before putting the new charger into my backpack. I played with the new phone, continuing to set it up as I continued to eat my breakfast.

“You’ll be able to finish putting your apps on it and setting it up when we get on the plane. It will give you something to do during the flight. I have also set up a new PayPal account for you, and it has already been linked to your App Store on the new phone. Oh, and because it is a good app to have, and you never listen to me regarding such things, I set up a Spotify account on there for you too. You’ll be able to d******d music onto it on the flight. Grab your old phone and make a list of the apps you have on your phone, so you don’t forget to d******d any of them onto your new phone, and just make sure to save all your media files to your SD card. When you have finished making your list, reset your phone back to its original factory settings and wipe your personal information from it,” Felix told me, smiling at my obvious excitement.

I nodded, knowing that he was right, and then I set about doing what he had said. After I had made the list, I put my notebook back into my backpack, then I reset my old phone back to factory settings, before turning it off. I threw my old phone onto the floor with the charger. After we had finished eating our breakfast, Winter quickly got out of the car and put our trash in the waste bin in the park. When she got back into the car, we made our way to the airport. When we arrived at the airport, the three of us immediately set about grabbing our luggage out of the back of the car before loading the luggage on to Felix’s private Gulf Stream G650.

The moment we had all our luggage on board, the three-man flight crew set about preparing for our flight. We departed on time, and I was so excited but also scared to start my new life. I was finally going to be free. I would finally be able to be doing things my own way. This was going to be an exciting experience; I was sure of it.

Storm The flight from Houston to Dublin took just under ten hours. On the flight, I did what Winter and Felix had said, and set up the phone with my favourite apps and downloaded music onto Spotify. We were halfway over the Atlantic Ocean when Winter and I had renounced our ties to the Hunter’s Moon Pack, which meant that we no longer had any links to that pack. During the flight, Winter had sent me a text message that contained the details for my new email account and various other accounts that she had set up for me in my new identity. She also gave me my newly forged documents that her friend had made for me. I took a quick look at my new identity, noting the name, Lena Wolf, smiling at the irony of the name, as I placed everything into my backpack. By the time we had landed in Ireland, it was almost three o’clock in the afternoon. Seeing as how all of us were exhausted from the long flight, we decided we would eat our dinner and sleep on the plane for the

Storm When we arrived at the door of my dorm room, I knocked on the door just out of courtesy, not wanting to make a poor impression with my roommate by walking in on something gross, say like my roommate shagging a guy on the kitchen table for example. When the room’s door opened, a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes answered it, her scent hitting me, immediately alerting me to the fact that she was a werewolf. I felt a cold shiver run along my spine as I realized I was going to be living on another pack’s territory. In my excitement at the thought of finally getting away from my pack and beginning a new life for myself, I had never even thought of this being a possibility. Being here with this girl was dangerous. I was in just as much danger, maybe more, living here with this girl as I had been living within my old pack. Packs hate rogues, and I was now a rogue after having renounced my pack ties with my father’s pack. Masking my features to hide my concer

Lilly The moment the door closed, and my new roommate and her family had walked down the hall, I bolted into the bedroom which was directly across from mine on the other side of the lounge room. Jumping into the air like I had seen Spiderman do in heaps of movies, I launched myself on top of the sleeping form of my sister Leah, landing on her like a human cannonball. Leah sat up in fright, screaming at me, “Lilly for the love of God, have you lost your ever-loving mind?” Ignoring her question, I cried, “You guys will never guess what has just happened!” “All I can say is for you to wake me up in this fashion, someone had better have died,” Leah snapped, clearly not impressed with my choice of morning wake ups for her. “Well, we all might die in our sleep tonight, does that count?” I retorted, looking at her expectantly as I awaited her answer. “Just what the hell is that supposed to mean?” my other sister Julie asked from her bed on th

Storm I stood there in front of the dorm building and watched as Felix and Winter drove off in the hire car. Once the car was out of sight, I made my way back upstairs to the dorm room which would now be my home for the next four years. When I got back up to my room, I was standing at the door when I realised that I had left my key on my bed with the information pack the administration lady had given me earlier. With tears still streaming silently down my cheeks, I knocked on the door and a moment later Lilly opened the door again, smiling at me. “Sorry, I forgot my key,” I explained to her as I stepped inside the dorm room, wiping the tears from my face. “That’s okay,” she said quietly as she smiled at me. I quietly followed Lilly into the room that I would be sleeping in. When I got in the room, I noticed that there were two other blonde girls sitting on Lilly’s bed, and just like Lilly they were also werewolves. Seeing my confusion, Lilly sai

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 14

Storm I thought that it was crazy that I had been here in Ireland for a week already, but I had to admit, I had found that I had seemed to be finding my feet alright. Since I had been here, I had taken to working out extensively in the university’s gym at all hours of the day and night and running for hours along assorted paths of an evening and between classes. It hadn’t taken me long to settle into my classes and honestly; I was finding university life extremely enjoyable. Winter and I had taken to calling each other every Tuesday and Friday night. This was so we could keep in touch easier. I enjoyed talking to her about what her and Felix had both been doing throughout the week and filling her in on my week. It was great that we were able to let each other know we were okay. I found I had peace of mind knowing she was okay, and I am sure she felt the same way. The girls and I had been spending a lot of time together outside of classes, and it surpr

Leah My sisters and I had fallen into a comfortable friendship with Lena since she had arrived at the university campus. Yes, she was a rogue, but she didn’t behave in the usual manner of any rogue I had ever met. Not that I had met many. In all honesty, I had never met a rogue before. But I had been told stories about rogues from my dad and my Uncle Sean and my Aunt Siobhan. I had heard about how they were all merciless and blood thirsty killers. But hearing those things about rogues, and seeing Lena in the flesh, had left me torn on my opinion of rogues. How many rogues had been perceived to be dangerous when they weren’t actually dangerous at all? How many good people just like Lena, had been brutally killed simply for being rogues? Every day I rang my dad and kept him apprised of the situation regarding Lena. I clarified that he had nothing to worry about. I told him that Lena was harmless, and that she was just a student who wanted to complete her school

Lilly We had finished our classes for the day, and we were making our way to the path we had chosen to run along of an evening. Ever since Lena had moved into the dorm with us, she had been working out like she was possessed. A week ago, she had announced to us at breakfast that she was going to get us girls into the routine of running and exercising every day to build up our fitness levels. I had to say, I enjoyed the time we spent exercising with Lena. Lena pushed us to challenge ourselves, and it felt good to know what I could do. The thing I liked most when it came to exercising with Lena was that I had learned I was much stronger than I had first thought I was. The first few times we had exercised with her, my sisters and I had felt as though we were going to die the next day. But we still looked forward to our afternoon exercise sessions. What surprised me was how much energy Lena had. She ran three times a day and worked out in the gym morning and nigh

Storm The morning of my eighteenth birthday had arrived! I was sitting in the lounge room on the big three-seater lounge chair listening to Leah and Julie have a playful argument regarding a guy that Julie was convinced Leah had a thing for. I knew that she didn’t have romantic feelings for anybody, and that all this teasing was just in good fun. By now these crazy arguments between the girls over random nothings had become the norm for me since I had been living here with them. It was almost like they got off on annoying the crap out of each other. In an attempt to win the argument, Julie had recruited Lilly onto her side. The plan had obviously been for Lilly to help Julie to gang up on Leah. Not wanting to be outdone by them, Leah was now trying to recruit me onto her side. But now that they had seen what Leah was trying to do, Lilly and Julie had decided they were not going to let that happen! So, they were trying to get me to side with them as well.

  • Trapped in the Storm   Epilogue

Storm The next morning, Doyle was so excited about the pregnancy that he couldn’t contain his excitement. From the moment we had woken up, he had been grinning like the cat that had gotten the cream, the milk, and the canary. When we had gotten Dalton and gone downstairs, he had announced it to everyone at the breakfast table. There had been cheers and congratulations and a few dirty jokes, but everyone was just as excited as we were about our new little surprise. After breakfast, Doyle had announced a pack meeting just as he had promised he would, and we had left to go to the place where my induction ceremony had taken place. When we arrived, I had looked at all the pack members who had been so warm and welcoming towards me and who could not contain their joy for me and Doyle when Dalton had been born; they had welcomed me into the pack as if I was part of their family. Now I was a little worried that they were all going to hate me

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 108

Storm We had flown back to Ireland, and I was glad to be back home. Doyle and I had hugged our baby boy close as soon as we had gotten home, and we had spent the evening watching movies with Leah, Lilly, and Julie. Mike had joined us as well. It had been a good family night. Before we had left Texas, Winter had pulled me aside and asked me so many questions about my life in Ireland. I know she wanted to make sure that I was happy, and that I was safe. I understood the protective side of her. She had stepped into the role of my mother right after our mother had been killed. I had explained everything to her. I had told her about Dalton, and I had explained to her that as a mother, I had held off mentioning him before, because I was protecting him. My baby had been the most important thing in my life, and I couldn’t risk Mason or our father finding out about his existence. As a new mother, Winter understood where I was coming from in that matter. We had talked about ou

Storm "I am only going to say this once, so all of you fuckers had better listen. I mean it, every single one of you. Even if Winter, Leon, Finn, and I have to tag-team it and fight our way through every member of this pack and have bodies piling up left, right and centre. I can firmly assure you, one way or another Finn and Leon will be the Alpha’s of this pack by sundown. Or at least what would be left of this pack anyway, because if anyone has earned the right to go on a killing spree through this fucked up pack… it is me! And rest assured if I start fighting any of you, those two will be right in the thick of it, so good luck with that,” I said, pointing to Doyle and Sean. “Now Josh, pull your head out of your ass and think before you speak. Because, since I have been back here, all you mutts have been acting as if this is all my fault. Like things suddenly went bad after I left! Lightbulb moment for all of you. Things were always bad in this pack and had been si

Storm I looked back towards the pack and said, “Members of the Hunter's Moon Pack as the two rightful heirs to this pack my sister Winter and I are going to install leadership for this pack. So, may I present to you, our choices for dual leadership, Leon, and Finn Weber. They are Alpha Felix’s brothers, so they are from an Alpha family, and they have our full support in this matter. So, if all of you screw up, we will all kick you asses.” Josh stepped forward, “Like hell, no way! You pair of traitorous bastards ran away like little cowards in the dead of the night. Where were the two of you when the pack was under attack? Hiding just like cowards, that’s where! Neither one of you deserves to be Alpha of this pack!” Josh spat; anger clearly displayed on his face. “And let me guess Josh. I suppose you think you deserve to be the Alpha of this pack!” I said looking at Josh and laughing in disgust. “I would be a better Alpha then either of you!” he

Storm As soon as we landed in Texas, Doyle hired an SUV to take us to the Hunter’s Moon pack’s territory. Upon our arrival there, it surprised me to see just how much damage had been done during the attack. There were burned out structures everywhere, and I could tell by the small number of people that were out and about tidying up, that the pack had suffered quite a significant loss in pack numbers. As soon as people saw me, I began receiving looks of hostility and blame. I didn’t let this phase me though. I didn’t like these people any more than they liked me. And as far as I was concerned, I didn’t care what they thought of me. I was standing beside Doyle and Sean when I sent a text to Winter. Me: Back in hell, where are you? Winter: Back on Texas soil, be with you soon xx Looking at one of the men who was standing nearby, I said, “You need to call a pack meeting now. Every pack member must be in attendance. Storm During the flight I went and lay down in the master bedroom. I had so much on my mind, and I was totally wiped out. Plus, I was concerned about my baby. Separation anxiety had kicked in big time and had left me crying just like a baby. A while later, after my cry baby episode, I was laying in the dark trying to clear my head when Doyle came in. When he looked at me, he could see I had been crying. He came over to the bed and lay down beside me, pulling me into his arms. I lay there in his arms, with my head on his chest. “What’s wrong?” he asked. “Separation anxiety,” I whispered. “You’re missing Dalton?” he asked. I nodded in answer to his question. “I miss him already,” I whispered. “That is normal love. You will be worrying until you have him in your arms again and can see with your own eyes that he is safe,” he replied. I lifted my head, bracing all my weight on my right arm. I looked down at him for a moment before p

I walked out of the nursery and made my way to Doyle’s office. When I got there, I saw that Sean was sitting at Doyle’s desk, in the chair opposite Doyle. I walked in and closed the door behind me. “We have got some news for you,” Doyle said as I walked over to his desk. “Okay…” I replied, taking a seat beside Sean. “We have received word that the Hunter’s Moon pack was attacked and that the pack has lost many of their pack members. I thought you should know,” Doyle said, watching me closely so he could get

I met his gaze and just gave him a deep guttural growl. So, he could lower his eyes in respect to Doyle, but not to me. Suddenly I was annoyed, and my wolf was feeling bitchy and decided she needed to show it. She decided it was time to call James out on his shit and I agreed with her. It was past time to sort this crap out. When I got downstairs, I saw James and Daniel and James’ mate Sophie in the lounge room with Liam and the others. Well, well, well looks like today is my lucky day. It had been ages since I had seen Daniel and James, so it surprised me to see them and Sophie sitting there with Liam and the girls like it was an everyday occurrence. Sophie was getting too close to Leah and Dalton for my liking. After what that bitch had tried to do to Lilly, my wolf and I wanted her dead. I looked at Lilly who was sitting in the lounge's corner suite, curled up in a ball and looking like she was about to burst into tears. I could feel my wolf clawing within me to get out and wanting to kill Sophie to protect Dalton and Lilly. Before I could lock her down, my wolf took total control, and she forcibly shifted me int
