Calvin brought a doctor to the house to check if Allison is pregnant as he promised her the previous day. The both of them were on their toes the whole time as the doctor took her blood. After a while, he asked them to leave so as to run some tests on the blood.

Calvin took his wife to the living room. They sat down on the couch in silence, doing nothing in particular. Just waiting impatiently. Time seemed to move slowly, and the couple didn't have the zeal to do any other thing.

Finally, the doctor came out, and they didn't know when they rose to their feet.

"Am I...?" Allison began anxiously.

"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Bruce." The doctor said with a smile, then he turned to Allison. "You are three weeks gone."

Allison turned to Calvin, and she saw that his hands were already wide open, inviting her for an embrace. She hugged him tightly, her hands went around his neck, holding him with a firm grip. She suddenly began to laugh, but not long after, her laughter turned into sobs.
