Evan sneered and changed the topic. "Why didn't he attend such an important occasion with you today?"

"This occasion isn't as important as our kids." Caroline deliberately emphasized the word "our".

Evan was enraged.

Seeing that, Alex immediately tried to persuade him. "Evan, the runway show is starting soon. Let's go and sit down. If not, there'll be too many people later."

Paige comforted Caroline after Evan was dragged away. "Carol, don't take it to heart."

Caroline looked away aloofly. "I'm going to the washroom. You guys go ahead."

"Let me go with you."

Paige was worried about Caroline, so she gave Kenny a look before she left with her.

While they were walking toward the washroom, Paige questioned, "Carol, can I take Pug with me tomorrow?"
