chapter 5

Brakk!

The chair was kicked and thrown, hitting the wall, and breaking as it fell to the floor.

"Damn it! Are you trying to deceive me, making me wait for my order for hours without showing up! Don't play me, you bastards!" yelled the man around fifty years old as he stared at three women cowering in fear at the end of a room in a night club.

"I made sure she went into the room you ordered, Sir, I personally escorted her!" replied one of the three women.

"So, why when I entered the room, there was no one there! Don't play with me! Give me back my money!" shouted the man as he extended his hand to the woman.

"Sir, calm down... we will bring the girl to you, she must have escaped before you entered the room!" replied another woman.

"Yes, that's right, Sir, we'll bring her to you, trust us!" exclaimed another woman.

"Fine, I'll wait now, hurry! go get her here!" said the man, then sat back down on the sofa.

The three women quickly left the room.

"Mama, what should we do?" one of the women asked.

"Let's find her until we do, where could that foolish one run to, damn it! We can't let her go, she's becoming more stubborn by the minute!" exclaimed the woman referred to as 'Mama' by the younger woman among the three.

"We've received the money, we must find her!"

"Yes, I've already spent some of the money, I can't replace it, I don't have any savings!" replied Mama, the younger woman.

"Where should we look for her?"

"Let's go to her friend's house, we must quickly find her, we can't let the man get angry again!"

"Alright!"

The three women headed to the modest apartment complex.

Once they arrived at the apartment, they immediately rushed to one of the rooms in the apartment.

Knock! knock! knock!

The young Mama woman banged loudly on the door of the apartment.

"Julia! Julia! come out, come on! Julia!" she shouted loudly.

No response.

The door was banged on loudly once again.

"Hey! who's making so much noise in someone else's house in the middle of the day?!"

A woman from the neighboring apartment stepped out, looking angry at the commotion outside.

"Ma'am...is this room still occupied?" one of the noisy women asked.

"The room is vacant, the tenant has gone back to the village, couldn't afford the rent anymore!" replied the woman who emerged from the neighboring room in an irritated tone.

"If I may ask, where did that girl move, Ma'am?"

"I don't know, it's none of my business, why should I care where she went, nothing to do with me!" the woman replied angrily as she slammed the door of her apartment shut.

"Ma'am! Ma'am...wait!"

Click!

The sound of the door being locked, the woman did not respond to the calls of the noisy woman.

"What do we do now, Ma, where else should we search? that fool, she doesn't have many friends, where else can we find her!" exclaimed the younger woman, stomping her foot in frustration.

"Let's look on the streets, who knows she's hanging out somewhere to hide, we have to find her until we do!"

The three of them then hurriedly left the apartment, their steps quickened by the set time, making them rush.

Meanwhile, on a comfortable long-distance bus, Julia and her friend had already changed buses once on their way to the city they were heading to.

Julia had decided to take her friend away from their city, towards another city in their country.

They planned to change buses three times to reach their destination.

At first, Julia's friend suggested they just take a plane to the city instead of changing buses, to avoid the hassle of multiple bus changes.

But Julia refused, intentionally making their trail untraceable.

So that her Aunts couldn't find her no matter what.
