My hands were trembling, and cold sweat started to break out from my temples. “I… I-I’m not obligated to tell you the reason.”
Mitch looked like he was dumbfounded by my answer. “Seriously? You’re going to say that now? Do you really hate me now?” He sighed as he didn’t know where to look. “I don’t understand. Before the sports festival happened, we were all good before I injured myself. So how come we’re like this now?”
I balled my fists as I didn’t know what to say. Mitch shouldn’t be suffering like this because of me. He doesn’t deserve pain, unlike me. “I… I don’t want to stay here anymore.” That was the only thing I could say. If I talked about how dirty of a person I truly am, Mitch wouldn’t simply hate me. He’ll despise me.
Mitch sighed. “You’re going to hurt me like this without even explaining why?”
