It’s a man with ebony black hair wearing black sunglasses. He’s also wearing black pants, a black turtleneck shirt, and a gray cardigan with black leather shoes. When he removed his sunglasses, I saw his deep black eyes looking straight at me. Who is this guy? Is he Jasper’s new chauffeur? But why is he so fashionable?

“It’s me.”

That guy pulled me into the car before saying that. What does he mean with ‘me’?

“It’s me, Jasper. I dyed my hair black, although it’s not permanent and could be washed off. I also wore some black contacts. Isn’t it awesome? You almost didn’t recognize me, didn’t you?” Jasper said proudly while having this grin on his face. He does all of that just for this hangout?

“I actually have a natural blonde hair, but I dyed it brown since it caused too much attention before when I first got here in this country.”

That reminds me

Jasper and I arrived at the restaurant he talked about, and there were no other people except for the two of us. I don't know if this is a coincidence, but I feel like Jasper must have rented the whole restaurant, and now he's acting as if he doesn't know anything about it. "Isn't this great? There are no people other than us. You can remove that cap and face mask too." He said as a staff guided us to their VIP room. Why bother renting the whole restaurant if they already have VIP rooms? "What do you like to eat? I love their pasta here, but they also have dishes with rice." I couldn't care less, and I couldn't answer either. Since I was feeling nauseous before, I don't think I could eat that well. There are tons of mirrors surrounding us. I wonder why Jasper decided to use this room instead of the normal one? "I'll get what you suggest." Jasper'

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 69 - Let Go

I could feel my legs wobbling as I struggled to stand up on the ice rink. How come figure skaters could stand here as if it’s nothing? What kind of sorcery is that? “I-I don’t think I can do this,” I said while holding onto Jasper’s hands. Jasper chuckled and said, “It’s fine. I’m here to help you.” He moved back, slowly pulling me into the middle of the rink. “You’ll love this.” He said, but all I could feel was my wobbly legs and the anxiety that made me think like I’m going to fall if Jasper let go of me. “Don’t leave me,” I said without even thinking, which made Jasper stop from letting go of my hand. “I-I’m sorry for saying something like that, but this is scary.” I tried to cover up what I’d said, but Jasper grabbed my hand tight as if reassuring me that he wouldn’t let go. I looked up at his face and saw him smile. “I won’t let go until you can stand on your own,” Jasper said as he continue

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 70.1 - Ezra's POV

Ezra’s POVI yawned as I opened my eyes. Another day with another responsibility with the committee. "Let's get into it." I got out of bed and started the day with my usual morning routine. However, I am still wondering if Alexis got home fine yesterday. He didn't want me to accompany him, but I was too worried about him. He didn't look fine yesterday."Zee!"I heard Eyen's voice outside calling for me. "Yeah, I'm coming." As soon as I finished taking a bath, I went outside, where Eyen was waiting patiently. Not that patient because he's already screaming my name. I ruffled his hair and held his hand; we both made our way downstairs. "Where's mom?"Eyen shrugged. Right, he's my younger brother, he's now 6 years old, but he would still knock on my room's door and would want to eat breakfast with me. "Did you have a good night's sleep?" He nodded with my question as he aske

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 70.2 - Ezra's POV

"That's what I've wanted to say. Don't start avoiding me now just because you know I like you." Irish waved me goodbye and left after saying what she wanted to say. What? Leaving me just like that? How should I absorb all those things she said? It's too shocking! How could Irish like me? She doesn't like men before, I think? So how come she ended up falling for me? I don't remember doing something that could make her like me.No, wait! Let's stop thinking about that for now, and let's send Alexis another message. He wouldn't hate it, wouldn't he? I hope it won't come out clingy or annoying for him. It's just messages. I took a deep breath before typing again on my phone. What should I say? Ugh! I'm just going to write what I feel!Hey, this is Ezra again. I'm worried about you. I hope you're doing fine. You can talk to me about it, okay? ^-^Hmm, should I remove the emoji thing

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 71 - Alone

Alexis’s POVI ran towards my room with my heart beating louder as if trying to escape from my chest. The fear I wanted to let go before quickly crept back into my mind and heart, and now I don’t want to leave this house anymore. There’s no escape from this. Ezra saw it.Ezra saw me; he’ll think I’m weird. He’ll realize how much of a disgusting person I truly am.He’ll hate me.“Ion?”I ignored Alina’s voice, and as soon as I got inside my room, I locked the door and burst out crying. There’s no reason for me to cry like this, but remembering Ezra’s shocked expression made me feel even more fear.He hates me.“But I don’t want him to hate me.” I lost my strength, and my body just fell to the ground as I continued my

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 72 - Broken

The day has finally come. I need to attend school again. The School festival's over, and we're back to regular classes. I'm scared. I don't want them to see me; I don't want to talk to anyone. I want to disappear. However, I still arrived in front of the main gate as early as I usually do. There's no morning practice for today. The coach didn't say why but he didn't say we'll have one either. I took a deep breath as I continued walking towards the academy grounds. I could still remember what Jasper texted me the other day. That he told Ezra the truth about me being Lia. It wasn't his place to say that, but I couldn't blame him either. It must be frustrating to watch me hide that from the people close to me. Well, at least I thought they were close to me. I know it's not going to be okay, but I'm here anyway. On my way towards our classroom, I couldn't look up as I felt

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 73 - Running Away

It was me. I'm the problem all along. Why am I even wondering now? It's always me. I should leave this place before I completely destroy everything. If I keep up with this team, I will be a hindrance to their success. That's it. I need to transfer schools.I arrived home and was surprised to see Lean already at home. What great timing she has, really. "Lean," I called up to her name, making her look in my direction. She smiled and walked towards me."What is it, little brother?"I gulped. I don't know if Lean will allow this, but I have no one other than her to ask about this. "I want to transfer schools." Lean's forehead creased after hearing that. She tilted her head as she crossed her arms. I thought she was going to ask me more questions, but that didn't happen."Okay. I'll sign the transfer documents."That's it? I thought she'd scold me or that she might a

With that, I told coach Alfred that I wouldn’t be able to attend the training because I would work. That was the first time I told the coach and my teacher that I was working. They didn’t ask me about it, and I don’t really want to talk about it either. “Do you want me to inform your teammates?” Coach Alfred asked before I left the counseling room. “N-No, coach. Please don’t tell them.” Coach Alfred was hesitant, but he sighed and said. “Fine. But I don’t think this news wouldn’t reach them. And if it does, I don’t know how to help you.” I nodded with that. Even though I selfishly decided this on my own, the coach and Mr. Mantovan still care about me, which I appreciate. I bowed my head to both of them, but I remembered something. “Sir, can I skip the remaining classes? I need to go to work as soon as possible.” Mr. Mantovan was hesitant too, but as kind as he was, he

Alexis's POV I woke after I felt light touching my face, which made me grunt. I wanted to get up, but I felt Ezra's hand wrapped around my waist. "This guy, really," I muttered as I tried to get his arm off, but before I could even get up properly, I felt my waist hurting like it was about to break off. In the end, I couldn't get up, which led me to feel annoyed. "You should really learn how to control yourself." Ezra chuckled as he snuggled on my back. "My bad. It's been so long since we last did it, and I just came back from our competition in Los Angeles." He said those could be used as a proper excuse for fucking me until I passed out. "Hey, you're not mad, are you?" He asked as he made me turn around, but I groaned due to pain as soon as my back touched the bed. All I could

Mitch's POV"Mitch, would you like to go out with me?"I was dumbfounded after hearing Dwight ask me that after our practice. "What are you on? Are you drunk?" I asked as I raised an eyebrow at him, which caused him to laugh. The other members that were cleaning after training were looking at us."I'm not drunk. I really like you, even though I liked girls before." Dwight had this sheepish expression on his face as he smiled at me widely. "I really want to—" He was cut off after Royce stood in between us.Joaquin followed as he wrapped his arm around Dwight's shoulder. "What are you doing, dude? You already know that Royce's head-over-

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 132 - Trapped

I was so nervous when I sat on the soft and comfy bed. "May I kiss you again?" Ezra kept asking for permission, and I kept nodding to allow him to do whatever it was he wanted.I want to kiss him too.We were dismissed too early today that it wasn't even sunset yet. Ezra was staring at my lips as if he needed to quench his thirst, and it gave me shivers down my spine. He placed his hand on my waist as he pulled me closer to him. The moment his lips touched mine felt like I was electrified, even though it wasn't the first time it happened.I don't know if I'm doing great to match his pace, and as we continued kissing, all I could hear were the lewd sounds, making me so flustered to the point of pushing Ezra away.

I stayed the whole night in Mitch's place, and Andre was the one that delivered me some clothes and other necessities I needed. It seems like our mother's still going on with her rampage, and I wouldn't be able to come home yet.I actually like this better. I'm always uncomfortable being at home anyway. Today, Mitch apologized to everyone and coach Alfred for ditching practice yesterday without any excuse. Though we thought he'd be receiving severe punishment, coach Alfred let it go since he knew how sincere Mitch was with his apology. "So that's what happened." Mitch and I looked at each other while waiting for Jade's reaction after explaining what happened yesterday. "Wow, a lot happened

I looked up, and my eyes widened after seeing Royce. "What are you doing?" Why is he still here? I thought he had gone home already before me? I was too flustered that I immediately stood up. "Are you waiting for the captain?" Royce asked, which made me shake my head many times."Please don't tell anyone that you saw me here."Royce tilted his head as he looked down, and I quickly tried to hide my shoes that I couldn't wear properly. "I won't ask anything else, but if you're planning to stay out here, why don't you just go to your best friend's house?"I instantly thanked Royce for that and bid him goodbye. I was too distracted by my problem that I forgot I had Mitch.I just hope he will accept me.&nb

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 129 - I'm Sorry, Mom

"What are you talking about, Tiffany?"Tiffany giggled after being asked like that by Ezra. "Are you playing dumb, captain? Wasn't it you who said about Alexis being your boyfriend— And what was it? Mitch's not interested in girls?" Her eyes twinkled, and I didn't know what to say. "Then why is he hanging around with that third-year girl?" She placed her hand on her chin and looked at us."What do you want?"Tiffany looked at Ezra with uninterested eyes. "Nothing much. Just stay out of my way, and I'll do the same." She said as she looked at me with a smile. "You wouldn't want your mom to learn about this, wouldn't you?" I was frozen in shock after she mentioned that. Why is she talking about my mom?

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 128 - Caught

The training camp ended without any problem, although my body was in pain after the training with the Golden Bell warriors. Right, they've been training with us side by side. Though I wonder why when we're the teams that always compete right before the championship, where the only one between us could get into that said championship. It didn't matter since we should already know what we needed to work on after playing against our greatest rivals. Even though we were going to play against each other soon, the players on the other team didn't look so bad, in fact, they even helped us learn lots of things. They're too kind, or maybe they're content because they think we wouldn't be able to win against them? However, during that training camp, I noticed that Liliana received even more bullying than before. I don't kn

Alexis’s POV“That’s all for today. We won’t be having rigorous training for now since we’ll be having the training camp soon.” Those were coach Alfred’s last words before dismissing us.“Lexi! Let’s go home together.” Mitch called up to me. That reminds me, I still haven’t told him about my relationship with Ezra. “You wouldn’t be coming home with Ezra again today, wouldn’t you? Honestly, what’s going on with you two?”“Actually—““Ah! Lili! What happened to you?”

  • Trapped in Lace   Chapter 126 - Guardian Angel

Jade's POVI heard a knock on my door while drawing on my tablet. "Go away." It's probably Gelo again. I don't have the time to deal with him right now, but instead of following what I said, Angelo opened the door to my room which made me look in his direction. "What the hell? I said go away. I'm busy."My younger brother, Angelo, didn't listen again, and instead, he sat on my bed. Purposively pissing me off. This goddamn brat."I thought you weren't going to join any clubs? Why are you joining the boys' volleyball club as a manager? Ion was there too; did you know that?" This brat really kept on getting on my nerves the past few days.
