CHAPTER-37: Let the history repeat itself!

Helena didn't know how to react to his proposition. She opened her mouth but words didn't come out. Life with him? Was He asking her to be his wife for life? She couldn't imagine how life would be with him. She just couldn't!

This man was more chaotic than her imagination.

Evan searched her eyes, the puzzlement in her gaze, and the tension in her body made him chuckle. “Don't think too much about anything. You sought my protection, now do not interfere in my ways, Helena. I don't like it when someone questions my decisions, remember this for the future too. Our lives would be peaceful and happy.”

“I can't,” Helena closed her eyes and said sternly. Opening her eyes and setting them on him, she moved to get out of his hold but He didn't let her. Helena sighed. This man was toxic to her sanity. “I am not a slave of yours, Evan. If you want a peaceful future with me as long as we are together, learn to live with questions because I will not stop asking them.”

Evan's eyebrows perked up.
