Chapter 7 ~ Trapped

“Scarlet! Congratulations on winning! This calls for a celebration!” Aria said, throwing her arms around Scarlet the moment she walked through the door but Scarlet felt like her heart had been ripped out and burst into tears in her friend’s arms.

Aria frowned worriedly but waited until she was composed again before taking her to the couch. The competition was being streamed live so everyone saw the winner and the new top designer of the Black Enterprise.

“Are these tears of joy?” Aria asked once they had sat down.

“I wish!” Scarlet sniffed as she leaned back on the couch before her eyes found Aria’s again, “Where is Jasmine?”

“She was so excited when she saw you win and tried the best she could to stay awake but she just couldn’t, she’s asleep now. But don’t change the topic. Did something happen?”.
