Chapter 71 - Recounted the Zero

She opened her store with limited goods to sell today. She made a few cupcakes, macarons, and three kinds of cakes from the remaining ingredients from the store freezer.

Not long after she put up the open sign, her regular customers greeted her curiously. Some even blatantly peeked at her finger ring and inquired whether she was married.

“Are you married? Congratulations!” One of her customers shrieked enthusiastically. Iris blushed after hearing their heartfelt congratulation on her quiet marriage.

“Thank you, that’s kind of you.” That was her shy response.

“I heard your husband is a young and handsome billionaire. My cousin even gave me his pictures from Tattlers Magazine. What a lucky lady you are!” said one of her customers, who leaned her body into the counter. A hint of jealousy was displayed on her face.

Iris felt awkward with those intrusive questions, so she chose to deflect the question and rather be comfortable picking up their orders and finishing them soon.
