Synopsis
“The next time you touch me so casually, we’ll have a problem.” Her breath hitched in her throat at the words which were spoken seemingly in his most blasé tone. Admittedly his chilly gaze on her was pure menace, pure danger… and she felt like she was getting weak in the knees. ... When Rose meets a mafia boss on one of her night shifts, she thinks he is a peculiar and unpleasant patient whom she would do well to avoid... Little does she know that that encounter is but the beginning to a tumultuous and obsessive love story.

Chapter 4: Rose was holding on by a thread, but her tiredness getting the better of her was not an option. She thus made sure to splash her face with water abundantly when she went to change. She couldn’t believe the man had had the doctor remove his veinous access. But then again, he was a supposedly generous mafia boss, whose contributions helped the clinic greatly. Ergo, she shouldn’t be so surprised really. Admittedly, the way he was dressed impeccably and looking so regal as he greeted her should be illegal. It did something to her that left her unsettled. The moment Rose entered room 77, she felt Roman Bianchi’s penetrating gaze on her. It made shivers of awareness run down her spine, but also made a part of her want to make a run for it.
