Chapter Ten

Aurora

While I was distracted, he lifted me up off my knees and laid me down on the bed. “We can stop if you want.”

“We aren’t stopping. I choose you, Shadow.”

“And I choose you. There is no one else in this world for me, Aurora.” With that, he got onto the bed with me. We shared a kiss that said everything that needed to be said, and he began working my body up all over again. I’d already come at least twice tonight, but he wanted me as wet as possible. After he had tasted and teased me, he notched himself at my entrance enveloping my body with his.

“I love you, and I promise to go slow. Tell me if you need me to stop.”

               “I will.”

He slowly pushed his thick head inside of me. I took a deep breath. He kissed me again and was murmuring my praises. He slid in easily through my wetness a little more until he hit my innocence the unbroken barrier. I held him tighter as, with one quick hard thrust, he broke through and seated himself inside me. It was a tight pinch. “Just breathe, my love.” He stilled inside of me to let my body get used to the feel of him. It was strange and foreign, but he felt like he was supposed to be there. With me, inside of me. After a moment and some kisses, he slowly pulled back and thrust forward. He was being gentle with shallow thrusts. Not long after, the initial shock and pain melted away. I started moving along with him. We found a rhythm that continued to quicken and made me want more.

I knew I was going to be sore, but I wanted him to let himself go and get lost in me.

“More, Shadow. Harder.” He looked conflicted. “I know you want to, please give it to me. My wolf wants to play as much as yours does.” I could hold back a smile, and he understood. He began to pick up the pace. I dug my nails into his back as he slid almost all the way out of me and then would take me again and again. It felt so good, but I was staying on the edge of pleasure. I didn’t want this to end, but I also really wanted to come with him inside of me.

“I hate to say it, but I’m getting really close.” Sweat broke out on his brow, and I noticed we both had a shine to our bodies as they moved. It was his first time, too, and he was holding back, trying to make sure that he thoroughly pleasured me. He quickly rolled us over so that I was on top. This new angle had my clit hitting his base with every thrust and made me moan. “There you go, baby.” He brought his thumb to my bundle of nerves and began moving it in a clockwise motion. The control on top, the faster pace, and his finger sent me hurtling over the edge.

“I’m coming,” I shouted. I could feel my inner walls fluttering and his massive cock swelling up inside of me. Suddenly my body began to grip and squeeze like a vice as I started my incredible climax. It wasn’t a few seconds later that he followed me into ecstasy. I felt his warm release shoot into me. We were both lost in the moment and holding on to the other for dear life. I leaned down and nuzzled into his neck as I rode out my orgasm. Never stopping the rocking as he and I continued to come.

Goddess, he smelled divine. He was making my mouth water like a juicy steak or fresh kill. I wanted to sink my teeth into his flesh neck. I wanted to know if he tasted as good as he smelled. I felt my canines descend. What the fuck? Was this normal? Panic whipped through me. My body became a mess of confusion. On the one hand, I was having the single best moment in my existence with the only man who has ever loved me. But on the other hand, I didn’t know if I was turning into some freaky monster.

We both stilled. Shadow took my face in his hands and really looked at me. “What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” Fear filled his voice.

“No,” I slowly began to pull my lips back to show him my teeth. “I’m so sorry everything was perfect, and then all of a sudden, my canines came out, and I wanted to bite you. I’m a freak. I’m so sorry.”

His face relaxed, and he smiled. “That’s normal. Rare but normal. I’ve when two wolves are truly in love and connected, they want to mark the other. I’m fighting the same feeling. But…” he looked over to the off-the-shoulder dress hanging on my closet, “I have a feeling if I sunk my teeth into you, everyone would know tonight, and I doubt you want to have that conversation on your birthday.”

“Oh, goddess, no. I couldn’t explain a bite mark. Though everything in me is saying to do it anyway. It’s like I don’t give a shit what anyone thinks.” While still inside of me, he sat up and held me close, wrapping his arms around my waist and nuzzling in between my breasts. How could this feel so natural when we just met a couple of hours ago? None of this made sense.

“Give in and mark me. Nobody will know except for us. And I’d like a reminder until the next time I can have you.” He nestled into me. Without thinking, I began running my tongue up and down his sensitive flesh between his neck and shoulder, straight above his heart. When I could no longer take it, I sunk my extra sharp and pointy canine teeth into him. A calm came over my body, followed by an even stronger orgasm than what I had earlier. Umm… I didn’t know that was possible. But more than anything, I longed for him to do the same to me.

When I settled down, I could see the longing in Shadow’s handsome face. His strong chiseled features were even sexier with his scruffy light beard. I bet it had only been a day or maybe two since he shaved. “Please mark me. I need you to. I don’t feel complete. Please.”

“Love, everything in my heart and soul is telling me to sink my teeth into you as I did my cock. But my brain says you will pay for it in the morning. I can’t let anyone hurt you.”

“Then let’s run away.”

He looked so stressed and hurt. I could feel him start to soften inside of me. The moment and magic were over. “We can’t right now,” he said with a sigh. “I promise, no, I swear on my life and honor, that I will find a way for us to be together. I just need a plan.” He began to ease out of me and rolled on his back. Instinctively I rested my head on his chest with my arm thrown over it too and my other hand playing with his soft dark hair.

“Tonight, my father is throwing some huge ridiculous party for me. I don’t know any details except I’m to wear that dress,” I said with disgust, “and be ready to leave by seven. He even commanded my friends not to give away any party details. I have no idea why he’s going to this much trouble. He’s never celebrated my birthday or anything of mine. It doesn’t make sense why eighteen is now special. Maybe he’s ready to kick me out after graduation? So it’s more of a celebration for him.”

Shadow looked like he was being tortured. His face was contorted as he tried to make his mouth form words. “You are under a command, too, aren’t you?” He looked ashamed as his eyes looked down and he nodded his head. Who was he? “Did my father command you?”

“No. I can’t say anything except I promise I will be there tonight. If you see me, pretend we are strangers.”

“Okay. But I don’t have a good feeling about this.”

“Neither do I. But we will figure it out.”

I held him closer to me as he ran his finger through my hair in reassurance. I meant to stay up all night and talk. Or at least look at him up close since he was mine. But I was so tired. I felt Shadow get up, and I heard a cabinet open in my bathroom, and the faucet turned on. When he came back, he ever so gently cleaned me between my thighs and tender pussy. I saw him wipe away a little blood.

“Do you feel okay?”

“I’m fine. Just a little sore.”

“I’m sorry, love.”

“Don’t be. This was the best night of my entire life. Now come hold me.”

Sadness filled his face again. “I’ll hold you until you fall asleep, but I have to leave before anyone catches me. I love you, my princess. Get some rest, and I will see you tonight.”

               I held him tighter.

“Aurora, be prepared for anything tonight. I know you are a fighter, and I’m counting on that. Sleep my love, and know that we can face the world together if we have to.”

So many questions raced through my mind, but my body went limp, and I could feel sleep overtaking me.

I don’t know when he left, but in the morning, there wasn’t a trace that he was ever there. Even the scent of our lovemaking had dissipated, but when I walked into my bathroom, I noticed the window was open, the washcloth he used to tend to me was gone, and my clothes were neatly folded on the counter minus my panties. I couldn’t help but look at myself in the mirror. Physically there was no change, but on the inside, I felt like a new person. I felt alive.

As I stepped into the hot water of my shower, I could feel a delicious soreness throughout my body. It wasn’t a dream. It was real. He was real. More importantly, the love we have was real. Those thoughts got me through my day but looming in the forefront of my mind was one thought.

What on earth was going to happen tonight?

Sawyer It was nearly eight when Aurora and her friends arrived, and I saw them through the upstairs window. Despite her smile, tension radiated through her body. She knew. My family came an hour ago. We circulated among the guests who had been ordered to arrive by seven. Everyone seemed to be in shock that the Hawthornes were there to celebrate Aurora Crane. We receded to our private wing before the birthday girl arrived. The spacious hotel rooms made Wonderland very accommodating for its guests. Everyone seemed uncomfortable. Aurora fiddled with her key as two of her friends helped carry her dress out of the limo. I knew she hated it, but she did look beautiful. I touched my suited shoulder in remembrance of the early hours I spent with her. The mark was nearly healed when I dressed, but it didn’t matter. I knew it was there.
