Hey, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Looks like Azalia has finally ridden Thali's back haha! They'll be back in the Adom Kingdom in the next chapter, and there should be a meeting with the High Council ;)
"Turned out Yefet wasn't a traitor." Melech started the meeting with this statement. He and Azalia, as well as the rest of the people who had accompanied them, had come back to the Adom Kingdom late in the evening yesterday. They only had a few hours of sleep before morning came and, with that, a new meeting with the High Council. It was important. Melech needed to know what had happened during his absence and needed to tell his counsellors about their journey to the Kesef Kingdom. "Are you sure he wasn't a traitor, my King?" Yael asked him. The Adom woman almost seemed disappointed by the news. "I can never be sure," Melech admitted. He had no way of knowing if Yefet had told him the truth or not, after all... "But I cannot keep living in the past." His next statement surprised almost everyone in the council room. "My parents' murder was years ago. I need to focus on other things." He had decided to truly move on and Azalia was so proud of him. She reached for Melech's hand on top
"Hey." Azalia smiled as she walked to their bed, in which Melech was already waiting for her. She was wearing a nightgown, the kind that had see-through fabric and that looked incredibly sexy on her. It enlightened the sensual curves of her body perfectly and left just the right amount of skin to the imagination. "Hey." Melech couldn't take his eyes off her as she joined him in bed and then straddled his lap. He was sitting against the headboard, his hands naturally moving to fit around Azalia's waist. "You're gorgeous, little princess." He husked out as he caressed her sides. "Thank you." The compliment made Azalia feel pleasantly warm. She knew she was beautiful, but she always liked it whenever Melech looked at her like she was the most stunning woman in the world. It certainly felt good. "You know," She placed one of her hands on Melech's shoulder, the other one starting to play with the dark curls of Melech's hair behind his head. "You won't be able to call me little princess o
Azalia woke up alone in bed the next morning. It was the first time it had happened in weeks. Actually, it was the first it had happened ever since she had told Melech she didn't like it, but she didn't think much about it. Melech was surely busy and she could tell it had to be past ten in the morning. She had slept way longer than usual. "Princess?" A knock on her door indicated Temira and Shai's arrival. "Hey." Azalia smiled at her two attendants. They hadn't been able to come to the Kesef Kingdom with her and so Azalia was glad to see them again. She had missed them, especially her friend Temira. "It's good to see you." "It's good to see you, too, princess." Temira answered with a similar smile on her face. As usual, she and Shai took the time to prepare Azalia for the day. They bathed her, took care of her long wavy hair, and got her dressed. It was a long but soothing process that left them with more than enough time to catch up and gossip all they wanted. "How was your trip
Azalia only managed to try on a couple of dresses before asking Amos to fetch Melech. She couldn't help it. As much as she tried not to let Yael's words get to her, she couldn't ignore how she was feeling right now... She was lost and angry and hurt all at the same time. She needed to talk to Melech, and she needed to do it now before the feeling of betrayal she felt inside her could grow any more. "There you are." Melech arrived a few minutes after Amos had left, but without Amos. The Zahav man was leaving them alone so that they could have some privacy for their conversation, something Azalia was grateful for. "Did you want me to help you choose your dress?" Melech seemed unaware of what had happened with Yael. He looked at Azalia with obvious desire, surely because of the gorgeous dress she was currently wearing. It was white and sleeveless with a long train. It wasn't the one she would pick for their marriage ceremony but still looked incredibly beautiful on her. "I didn't see
"Are you excited about your marriage, princess?" Temira asked Azalia as she and Shai helped her get ready. The day of the marriage ceremony had finally come. Azalia felt like several years had passed since the first time she had seen Melech, when in reality it had only been a few months. It had to be said that a lot of things had happened in so little time, and so it was only natural that Azalia felt like more time had passed. Finally, in just a few hours, she would be married to the Adom King. "I am." She was excited. She loved Melech and wanted to become his wife. More importantly, she couldn't wait for their wedding night, during which they would finally be allowed to connect their bodies together in the most intimate way. "But I'm nervous at the same time." She admitted in a soft voice. "That's normal," Shai reassured her. She was currently taking care of Azalia's long white hair, making sure the waves looked absolutely marvelous for her marriage. "You only get married once in
The ritual room was grand, with high ceilings and extremely tall stained-glass windows. It rendered the atmosphere of the room mystical and sacred. The stained-glass windows depicted the different gods the Adom Kingdom believed in, the entities painted in gorgeous colours such as navy blue and dark burgundy. It was breathtaking. However, as stunning as the room and the stained-glass windows were, Azalia's entire focus was on the man waiting for her in the middle of the room. Melech was already there. He was wearing traditional clothing that fit him perfectly, his outfit a dark crimson colour just like his eyes. It made the white of Azalia's dress stand out even more and suited Melech's strong personality flawlessly. Melech was fire incarnated. It was only a given his marriage outfit would remind people of that. More importantly, he looked better than ever with his dark curls stylised to perfection and his red eyes firmly focused on Azalia. She truly had the most handsome husband in
Royal marriages were a private thing, but it was tradition for the High Council to take part in it. Each member of the council was required to give a gift to the married couple to bless their union. Each of the gifts had to represent one of the ancient gods. It was to ensure a powerful marriage and an even stronger bond between the two lovers. "Come closer, my children." The High Priestess addressed the members of the High Council. "Form a circle around our guests of honour." Azalia and Melech were still kneeling in front of each other in the middle of the ritual room. A ritual circle was drawn on the ground around them, and each of the members of the High Council took place around it so that they formed a circle around Azalia and Melech. "We are all gathered here today to bless the union of the Adom King, Melech, and of the Lavan princess, Azalia." The High Priestess declared. Her voice resonated in the ritual room, thus creating a solemn atmosphere. "I, the High Priestess of the A
Melech claimed Azalia's lips with his own as soon as they were back in their private quarters. "Melech." The Lavan princess moaned as Melech kissed her passionately. They had hurried back to their quarters as soon as the sacred ceremony had finished. They had barely heard the members of the High Council congratulate them on their union, the two lovers way too impatient to pay them any mind. Finally, after months of torturous wait, they could go all the way together. "Are you already wet?" Melech smirked as he touched Azalia's intimate parts through her clothes. The question made her blush a little, a small gasp leaving her lips when Melech rubbed her vulva from on top of the fabric. "Yes." She had no other choice but to admit. She was already wet just from a simple kiss. Her whole body was burning up with desire for her husband. Melech felt a smirk tug at his lips as pride swelled inside him. He leaned in, letting his hot breath brush against Azalia's skin as he murmured right into
