ALESSANDRA
“No, I’ll come. I’m just leaving in ten minutes!” I used my voice low, looking down at Ara, who was sleeping, while her head was resting in my lap.
After my work was done, she asked me to stay with her because she was all alone in her home. Her mother goes out to work and her father is no more. Her elder brother is a soldier in the army. Her mom comes nearly ten at night and that is why she wanted me to stay over at her place.
After talking about Nate, who betrayed her, she kept crying and at last, slept like a baby.
“No, sweetie, you should stay there. It’s already late at night.” She tried to convince me but there is no way I am letting her stay alone.
“Mom, please! Don’t act like a child. You know I don’t want to leave you alone.”
“And I don’t want you to travel at night.” She protested in my tone.
“I will! And I’m coming, okay? You don’t have to wait for me. Sleep, because I’ve spare keys, okay? I’ll manage everything.” And without listening to her answer, I disconnected the line.
Just then, the doorbell rang and I gently removed Ara’s head from my lap. I laid her down before covering her with the blanket and then walked ahead to open the door.
“Hey, thank you so much for staying with Ara, Allie,” she said as soon as I opened the door. She even hugged me slightly to show her gratitude.
“No big deal, aunt.” I smiled, pulling myself back.
“Where’s she?” She asked, stepping inside and I closed the door before following her.
“Sleeping. She cried a lot.” I sighed and then we entered her room. She walked over to Ara’s bed and then kissed her forehead.
“Thanks for taking care of her. You know she does stupid things when she’s alone.” I nodded when I understood what she meant. She indirectly remembered the moment Ara tried to commit suicide when her father was no more. She was alone at that time. And it was not the end of her stupid doings. She was deeply shaken by the news. Memories of her father always haunted her because he died in front of her. He was sick. Ara, who could not bear how her dad left them in front of her, started missing him badly. She even hallucinated that her father was with her—smiling at her, calling her and kissing her cheek. And when she realized that they were just her imagination, she tried to commit suicide so she could also meet her father as soon as possible.
Somehow, after some therapies, she succeeded in overcoming that trauma.
Whenever I see her smiling and chirping like a bird, I forget completely about her past. She does not look like a sick girl who tried to do many horrible things in her past. Someone said right that the most smiling person hides the huge grief behind it.
“It’s okay, aunt. I’m always there for her.” I could not help but smile. She smiled back. “I should leave now.” I say hurriedly once I realize I can leave.
“You can stay over here, honey.”
“I appreciate that, aunt, but you know mom is alone there.”
“Oh yeah.” She nodded in understanding. “Lemme walk you to the door.” She got up from the bed and I also took my bag with my mobile. She walks ahead and I follow her. Reaching the door, she opens it and I step out.
“Thank you,” I say humbly and she nods.
“Take care.” I nodded before walking towards the elevator. The door opens in no time and I step inside. I wait for it to stop and once it is confirmed that I am on the ground floor, I come out and go to my car.
Going inside, I start the car and drive it home. I am relaxed now. Mom does not have to wait for much longer. I will be with her in no time.
The car runs smoothly on the serene road and no sound comes to me as it is peaceful. Wow. City sounds so good when it is silent. In the afternoon, the noise dances on these streets.
After driving the car for a while, I suddenly have to apply the brakes because then my eyes fall on a man standing in front of me. He is far away from me and I could not see anything clearly because of the orange light scattered on the road. But seeing that person, I do not know why I was very suspicious. I drove the car at a slight speed until I reached him. There was still a bit of a difference between us.
He was bent over and he was wearing black clothes. Both his hands were on his chest and stomach which were clinging. And seeing all this my doubts increase.
I stop my car at a distance and on closer look at the person I can see that blood is pouring out of his stomach.
I gasp loudly and immediately open the door of my car. The man is bleeding and he needs help!
Without closing the car door, I ran to that man. He has now fallen on his knees on the ground after giving up and I see his hot blood spreading on the road.
“Hey! Hey! Do you hear me?” I immediately hold onto his shoulders and fortunately he looks up at me.
My eyes widen when I recognise the face.
Nate!
“P-Please save me.” He pleaded, clutching my arm and squeezing it gently. I notice his one eye is closed as it is looking dark purple as if someone has punched him badly.
“C-Come with me.” I put his one arm on my shoulder and tried to pull him with me after resting my one hand on his waist. He uses his legs but as he is not in a good condition, I have to bear his weight more than him.
The moment I reached my car and was about to put him inside, he gasped, earning my attention. I looked up at him and saw his eyes widening in horror.
My eyes followed his sight and I looked behind me. At some distance I saw a man standing whose face was not clearly visible at all. His face was completely black but seeing his height and physical appearance, I understood that he is a man.
But why was Nate afraid of him? I questioned myself and the next moment, his lips trembled when he murmured, “Please… s-save me… he’ll… he’ll kill me.”
So that man wanted to kill Nate!
As my brain worked, I immediately made him sit inside the car and looked back at the man. He was still so far but then he started taking long strides towards us.
I hurriedly caught the other side and slid inside. I started the car and put it on automatic mode while I fastened Nate’s seatbelt. When I glanced at the side mirror, I saw the man standing at some distance. Both of his hands were behind his back and one of them came out when he waved his hand to us as if saying goodbye.
What the fuck!
I got on my seat and then handled the steering wheel.
“Take it. Press it gently against the wound, Nate.” I gave him my scarf which was neat. He stretched his hand to hold it but groaned while having problems holding it.
I focused back on the road while I started thinking about this all. Nate’s condition. That man and then how he let us leave at that time. He did not even try to stop us.
“Take deep breaths,” I instructed him when I noticed his eyelids getting heavy. It gets difficult when an injured person closes his eyes. Hopes start to lose because of this.
He nodded and got busy breathing deeply.
Soon we reached the hospital where I took some workers’ help to get Nate into the hospital. Registering him, the doctors take him inside to operate on him while I wait outside the room.
At last, breathing peacefully, I sit on the bench. At last he will be saved. Nobody is going to kill him. But who was he? A killer?
A killer… and I gaped the moment when realization hit me hard.
“He was the serial killer!” I almost gasped. Getting up, I immediately rushed to the door of Nate’s operating room. The doctors were working on him.
Stepping back, I pulled my mobile from the pocket of my pants. I dialed mom’s number and fortunately she answered me.
“Where are you? Have you stayed at Arabella’s house?”
I shake my head as if she is watching me, but I answer her nonetheless, “No, mom. I was just coming when I got Nate on the way. He was injured.”
I heard her gasping over the phone. “Oh my god, what happened to him!” Yeah, she knows about Ara’s cheater ex-boyfriend.
“Excuse me.” A voice interrupted me from behind. I turned and found a doctor. It was then I realized I was standing on the door.
“Sorry.” I mutter and move aside, giving him some way to leave. He left the room and a nurse followed him. I watched them leave and then sat on the bench.
“Allie?” She voiced out.
“Oh, I’m sorry… so where was I—ha! The serial killer injured him so I brought him to the hospital.”
“Serial killer? Oh no! How are you? Did he do anything to you? How did you save him from that killer? Did he hit you, sweetie?”
“No, mom, I’m fine. He was standing at some distance so couldn’t catch us.”
She phewd. “Thank God, you’re alright, I’m grateful to Him.” She sounded satisfied now. I smiled looking down. From the corner of my eye, I noticed a pair of shoes walking towards Nate’s room. I did not look up as I noticed he was one of the doctors.
“Should I come to you? Tell me the hospital—,” and I interrupted her, “No, mom. I’m just leaving in a few minutes. Talk to you later. Take care.”
“You too.” And I disconnected the line. I pushed the mobile in my pants’ pocket and sighed after leaning backwards.
When I opened my eyes, I saw a nurse in front of me. She was holding a board with a pen.
“Please sign the papers, ma’am and mention your relationship with Mr Vincent.” She handed me the sheetboard.
I nodded. “I’m his friend, is that okay?”
“Sure, ma’am.”
Signing the papers, I then got up to call Nate’s brother. Thanks to Arabella, I knew Nate’s older brother. We all met at a coffee shop where Nate’s brother exchanged numbers with me.
The mobile started ringing and pressing the screen against my ear, I walked in front of his room and peeked inside through the window.
Looking inside, my eyes were torn apart when I saw the condition of Nate lying on the bed. The white sheet which he had kept on his stomach, covering his lower region, had turned red. Crimson red.
“Hi Allie, how did—,” and the mobile slipped down from my hand as I clasped my mouth with my palms. I could not believe it. The shock made me step back because the impact was horrible.
“Ma’am, what happened?” The nurse immediately holds onto my shoulders, shaking them slightly. But I was completely shocked that I was not able to react anymore.
“N-Nate…” I could only whisper his name. She frowned and then turned to check inside the room.
She flinched and hurriedly rushed to call the doctors. I, who still was not able to believe it, could not help but look in the direction from where the doctor was coming.
He gave me a confused look before going inside. I too followed him, completely ignoring my mobile, which was lying on the floor while the call with Nathaniel was still connected.
“What! How! Didn’t you check his room?”
“I-I dunno, sir!”
“The fuck! Are you crazy? That was your responsibility!”
“S-Sorry, sir.”
I heard the male yelling at the nurse while she started sobbing and asking for his apologies.
Not knowing this, tears started flowing from my eyes. Was Nate really murdered? I still could not believe it. After all, how is this possible?
The doctor came out and asked about Nate. He said he will call the cops to investigate this matter while I could not answer him.
Only Nate was in my mind.
And then my mobile rang. I looked on the ground, finding my vibrating mobile.
I quickly clutched my mobile but when I found it was Nathaniel, who was calling me, my body got numb all of a sudden. How would I be able to tell him about this all?
“Please answer the call, ma’am. It disturbs everybody here. The situation is already bad.” The nurse bowed slightly before leaving.
With my shaking hand, I answered the call.
“Allie! What happened? And where are you? Are you alright?” Nathaniel asked with concern and there I was feeling my throat jamming slowly.
Answering him is going to be more difficult then.
“ALLIE!” I flinched when I heard his loud voice.
“Y-yeah?”
“I’m talking to you! Please tell me, are you okay? Where are you? You don’t seem—,” and I decided to interrupt him even though my throat was blocking, preventing me from speaking.
“Nate is murdered, Nathaniel!” I said straight, waiting for his answer. Silence spread over the call and the next, he gasped, “Wh-what?”
ALESSANDRA“What the hell is this! Isn’t it your duty to take care of the patients here? So how did this mistake happen? Are you kidding us?” “We are sorry but we ourselves do not know how this happened!”“Meaning you were not focused on your responsibility! Then there is no point in this for employees like you!”“We’re—,”“The fuck! Stop begging!” “Sir please, It’s not that they did this intentionally!”“Would you like to lose your job with them too?” “But sir, please listen to them at least? These people must have known something or the other.”“I fucking don’t care! Due to the presence of CCTV cameras here, we don’t need the eyes of these people! These people are lazy! They should die by drowning in—,”“Sir please?!” “What please!”I looked at Nathaniel from the corner of my eye. Ever since he came, he has been shouting in anger at the people working here. This person is unable to bear the death of his brother. And Nathaniel is not able to digest this thing at all that his brot
ALESSANDRAToday was like the rest of the day. There was not much difference. Even today Hades spoke to the most of all the people he met. Seeing him, for a moment, I felt as if Hades did not need me at all. He needs me because he does not show what he is. We also went to the arcade where we both played many games together. At first he said that he is not fond of playing games. I thought that I would win because he never had any interest in playing, but I turned out to be wrong. That person is adept at playing such games. I thought that he would not even know how to run his hands on the machine, but he was moving his hands like a pro, as if running water. He beat me in all the games we played. “There is no need to make such a face now. You were the one who was jumping to play!” He said, walking with me, while his hands were resting inside the pockets of his pants.“You’re a cheater!” I gritted out.“How?” He rolled his eyes when I just glanced at him. He looked hot while doing tha
ALESSANDRAWhen I was remembering the feelings I felt in the night, in the same way, the pain in my brain was flowing like tears from my eyes. I was surprised till now because I did not even understand who could do all this. Who would do this to me? Someone came to my room at night and went away after doing whatever he wanted to my body, and I was not even able to know who could do such a thing. How worthless am I! Today for the first time I was feeling angry that even after gaining so much knowledge in life, my mind had become numb today. When I was in desperate need of thinking, understanding and peace, none of them were with me. I palm my face and realize that it is wet. I dip my face between my knees while more tears spill out of my eyes. I cannot be weak like this. So should I complain to the police? They will definitely believe my words because I have hand marks on my thighs and I am not even lying. Nodding at myself, I quickly wipe my tears away and then get up from the b
ALESSANDRAAs my hours were done, I walked ahead towards my car. Today was very different from other days. Till today I had not seen such a form of Hades. Hades is a terrible kind of person who just wants to kill people. He did not think before killing anyone, nor did he think of saving anyone. In front of him two men were fighting fearlessly like wild animals. He broke the head of a human in front of him, but Hades still did not have mercy in his heart. He did not think of saving him, but seeing him dying, Hades was getting peace. I already knew Hades was still sick. He is still battling with mental illness. He has an urgent need to learn the present peace. Not only peace, but he has to learn a thousand habits related to human beings. He cannot get out of this place by becoming so cruel. Because no one knows when his terrible form will come out. Today only he saw violence as an interesting drama, but tomorrow he can make such a drama. He can raise his hands to kill a human. I also
ALESSANDRA“You look fuckable, Alessandra.” My bones went cold when I heard my name from his tongue. His words were very ugly and dirty, but at this time, not anger but fear had gripped me. I would have shouted right now, but I was too scared to take such a step. ️I was so scared that I did not have the courage to do anything. First of all, I did not even know this person, so trying to understand this intention was also a mistake. Because it was difficult to even trace the intentions of those whom I did not know. There was so much power in that person’s aura that I could not dare to stand in front of him. My knees were weak and I just wanted to fall but fear kept a hold on me. I could not even move, so falling was a far-fetched thought. “Wow… just look at you… how desirable you look right now…” he whispered against my trembling lips. I could see nothing in front of myself but I was feeling his hot and minty breath fanning my philtrum. Who was that person and what did he want from
ALESSANDRA “Ok, you can tell me everything in detail.” I nodded my head frantically before starting to tell her everything. I took this decision with great courage. He kissed me yesterday and I could not give him a chance to go further. If he grows further, then I myself do not even know about the things he will do worse with me than this. I did not want to destroy myself at his hands by giving him any chance. “For the last two to three days I have been feeling that someone is following me.” After telling all that happened to me last night, I started telling her the reason for my doubts. She nodded, writing the point. I continued when she looked back at me. “I felt as if someone was watching me all the time. In my room, on the way home.” She nodded once again, gesturing to me to continue. “I want you to investigate my room. I feel like there is something or someone in my room.” She nodded, “We will definitely do it. Your safety is our responsibility. And whatever happened to
I looked in my front with widened eyes. That voice ringed in my ear and made me watch the thing that happened in front of me.I gasped shakily when I found one of the officer’s hands was bleeding now. She had fallen on the ground while the other officer was crying hysterically, holding her hip.I watched them helping each other and when I eyed my mother, she told me that the camera had exploded in that officer’s hand. The other officer, who was walking next to her, also injured the outer side of her thigh and hip in this incident. And that is what struck my head badly. That the camera was no more. The evidence is no more. Means, catching the culprit will be hard for them and what else? Will I never be
“Smart girl, I like it.” He cooed, whispering into my ear.I squeezed my eyes shut in despair. I did not know why this was happening to me. I did not know why this person was playing with me like this. I was scared, trembling. Yet he chose to harass me, ignoring the change in me, which was clear like a reflection in the mirror. His hand, which was clutching my mouth and nose, moved slightly down. He let me breathe through my nose and I was grateful for it. But not to him.“Now, tell me, Alessandra, why did you do that?” His whisper sent a chill down my spine. Even in this low voice, he was able to hold a threat in it. Like harmful smoke. But I could not understand him. What did I do? I was confused as hell.
Two years have passed since everything. Those two years, he finished them by sitting in a dark corner of the room. Eating only two times a day, he spent his time in breath and peace. He did not even want to talk to anyone. Looking at the sky completely silently gave him peace. Every time he saw the blue sky, he remembered only her. That freedom hidden in the sky always reminded him of her smile. There was such a decree in her smile that he used to feel peace whenever he received it. Whenever he closed his eyes, he could see her face. Beautiful. That was the only word that resonated in his mind and he smiled every time because of her. This time spent in prison was very different. A lot. And even today he was sitting at some corner of a room, waiting for the door to open. Because today he was about to get freedom from his punishment. He had to pay a two-year sentence and a fine because he tried to kill Nathaniel and Nathaniel was alive. He knew it. He knew that Alessandra cannot k
HADESWhen I first met her, I found her irritating. At first she covered the whole room with her scent, which completely suppressed my scent or should I say dominated? I felt the best of my fragrance when it was dissolved in hers. She came and tried to talk to me while I was busy with my work. But it was good that she waited for my work to finish. But then she started speaking in her thin voice, I was really fed up because I do not talk that much. I like peace, and the girl sitting in front of me was just the opposite. They say the opposite attracts… But it is not so at all. The person opposite you will only become the reason for your displeasure only. Just like her… But when I saw the fear in her eyes for every time when she was looking away, and by looking into her eyes, I realized her innocence. She was really the opposite of me. Her contrast with me did not draw me towards her but her innocence, the desire to fix me in her eyes, the fear she was trying hard to hide and and wh
HADESYesterday I went to meet my father for the last time. I did not know that that meeting would be the last. I used to sleep every night with only this wish that the next morning I should get to see my father’s face but this time, it was completely different.I woke up this morning and first went to his room, then after not finding him there, I suddenly remembered that he is no more. It was dark in his room. I glanced at the study table where I always found him sitting. I found him here yesterday as well. He was sitting there, writing his diary. No matter how many times I see him, I am surprised to see him every time how my father has changed so much in a few days. By the time I was eight years old, my father was in very good health. But ever since he came to know the secret of my mother being an OCD patient, it was as if he had forgotten the address of happiness. He has since gone mad to give my mother all the happiness she deserves. My father also stopped my mother making cry
When he entered the room and Nathaniel forced Alessandra to look at him, he could not help but stop breathing for a moment. He felt as if air was vacuumed from there. He felt as if time stopped at that moment. He felt his legs giving up as his body became numb. He just stared at her silently but did not dare to speak anything. “Brothers?” Arabella gasped, palming her mouth. Her eyes flickered between the two silent men. One of them was silent like a corpse and the other was grinning at him. “Who called you here?” He left Alessandra’s face and straightened himself. Hades’ gaze kept lingering on Alessandra but he opened his mouth to answer Nathaniel, “None of your business.” And saying that, he marched towards him, fisting tightly before landing the same aggressive punch on his jaw. Nathaniel stumbled back, far away from Alessandra. His hand held his jaw which he removed slowly. “It was different. Something weak.” He smirked, straightening his body and seeing Hades’ face after throw
“Now let’s stop this hide and seek. I had enough of your stupid acts!” He grinned, stepping towards them as he took another way to reach his room. After banging on the door for a long time and growling like a wolf, when he could not get the door opened, he had to use another door to reach his room. His sudden presence startled the girls there in the room as they faced him completely. “Especially you, little bitch. You’re in dire need of my hospitality!” Saying that like a beast as he used his deep voice, he marched towards Arabella but before he could reach her, Alessandra came in between, standing like a wall for Arabella. Arabella’s horror filled eyes stared at Alessandra from behind. Her hands automatically held her shoulders as she was afraid of Nathaniel. Especially the way he was behaving right now, like a possessed werewolf. “Don’t even dare to touch her!” She yelled in his face. Nathaniel smirked, noticing like hundreds of things in her. Despite being scared, wearing the
“Nathaniel!” She yelled, forcing her legs to step ahead. She was increasing her pace and trying to reach her only destination—his room. “Nathaniel!” She repeated that action, reaching his room and finally finding him there. There in front of his dressing room, he was standing in all his glory. His long and wide body posture was being reflected through the mirror. His handsome face contained a small smile on his lips which could tempt anybody. His hands were bent as he was arranging his collar. “Nathaniel, where are you going?” She asked him calmly. As calmly as she could because she was utterly angry. She was disappointed by last night’s argument in which he told her that today he will go to bring Alessandra. He did not continue the argument last night and slept after locking himself in his room. But today, she was not going to let him leave. “As you already know, Ara.” He shrugged his shoulders, finally turning to her. He pushed his hands into the pocket of his pants, turning his
“That’s it! He’s the only one!” Waylon uttered loudly. He looked down at Hades for response but he did not say anything. Like always! He was silent like a rock. His eyes kept lingering on the laptop screen which reflected Alessandra. Six videos were playing on that one screen and his eyes were not tired of watching them again and again. There was only one girl among those six whom he was seeing. First, she came out of the room after getting ready. In the second, she crossed the corridor and walked into the lift. In the third, she stood tired for some time in the lift till the ground floor came. In the fourth, she crossed the lobby and came out of the hotel building. In the fifth, standing outside the hotel, she turned her eyes and as soon as her eyes fell on that person, she went to his car. And in the sixth, he saw from the camera installed outside the hotel that the car turned on the right side of the hotel. During all this again he stopped the video. He zoomed in on the screen a
He grabbed her waist, pulled her closer and kissed her deeply once he closed the door of their room. The moment she kissed him, he felt the real meaning of dancing butterflies in his stomach and he wanted to continue it. His hand roamed on her, fingers tugging around the delicate strands and her dress and freeing them around from the knots. But she was still in his hold. His touch made her skin burn along with his. She was able to feel her arousal as her heat was throbbing, completely soaked. But only she knew that her mind was somewhere else. Somewhere near guilt. She was really going to do it, is she not? Her wet dress pooled around her feet and he pulled back, taking a whole minute of his life to behold her. His eyes roamed all over her body leisurely before catching her mouth again. Her hands flew back to his shoulders as she held them for support. His lips moved hungrily as he devoured her mouth, thrusting his tongue inside and finding hers. Her hot mouth welcomed his tongue
To satisfy herself, she looked at herself again before leaving the room. She was very happy to see herself dressed beautifully once again. After many days she got a chance to decorate herself. “I’m not trying to seduce him.” She smiled at herself. She clutched her bag tightly before going down. Like every time, the cold wind of the night did the mischief of touching her exposed skin. She took a deep breath before going ahead as she found him standing near his car and leaning against it. His one hand held his mobile while the other rested inside his pocket. He was busy scrolling down until he felt her eyes on him and immediately raised his head to look at her. His lips parted and he inhaled through his mouth before exhaling, eyes never leaving her. Those emerald orbs scanned her leisurely as she started walking towards him. His heart skipped a beat when she stood right in front of her, nervous as usual but radiating heat of seduction without even doing anything. “Is it good?” She tr
