"Are you ready to sign a contract?" She asked, looking straight ahead like she was embarrassed to meet his eyes. He flipped his head towards her with a confused look as the car slowed down on the highway.

"What contract?"

"Just like the one you made me sign. A contract stating that I'll stay a month and you'll let me leave after that," she asked and was met with his immediate yes. He was on board, even though she didn't understand why he was worried about her distress so much. It was almost.. out of his usual. "Turn the car around."
