"MATE!" The word crushed into my tiny head, and quickly floated everywhere in the tight corners of my suddenly aching head.
A familiar package of emotions shamelessly squeezed themselves into the chambers of my heart that was beating loudly in my ears. The emotions did not just come alone — there were hundreds of butterflies that mischievously danced in my head, stomach and veins.
I quickly felt my lips start to tremble whilst my eyelids fluttered as I hopelessly wanted to believe what my eyes were looking at. Five long years and this was when he came — it was since forever my wolf had come alive; active and free. My whole figure was shuddering, of course, not from cold but from these many feelings that were flattering their wings all over my system.
Here on the other side, I could not do anything but freeze on the same spot I had gone down on when there had been an explosion. My body was numb as I kept staring at the man who was shamelessly laughing at Alpha Xenos, only for a reason he knew. [An ancient, toothless dog, as he called him.]
"MATE!" My wolf cried once again for the millionth time now. My system was bursting with hot, electrified tingles that I urged to release themselves but no, they charged into my heart, encouraging it to increase its beating rate just once more. I felt like I was floating high above the clouds — I wanted to move closer to him where I could freely land my hands on him.
My eyes were burning with pressure — I wanted him to look at me just once again but he dared not to. How cruel!
"You are wasting your time. I have vowed to never say anything and I won't!" Alpha Xenos's voice squeezed itself into my ears, averting my mind from my dreamland and to the present — an awful present. Reality dawned on me — it was then I realised that the Moonlight Pack was under attack and the man whom my wolf and I were so excited to see again in years, was responsible for the attack.
I hesitatedly rose to my trembling feet and took a careful step back, frowning at Alpha Xenos who was shielding me with his shoulder. "Oh no! I don't want you to say anything. Just surrender the documents and we shall resolve this with a…peaceful talk instead!"
The unknown man, my mate, hissed in a velvety smooth voice that gently swam into my ears, making my heart flatter with ecstasy — more, again.
"NEVER!"
Alpha Xenos spat, the veins on his neck protruding to the skin whilst his fingers tightened around his golden sword that was partly decorated by tiny blue stones that piercingly shimmered in my eyes. "Oh! Is that so? Alright then, have it your way, Xenos!" The man growled with passion. He lazily rolled his eyes when the two guards of the Moonlight Pack began taking hesitant steps in his direction. One surprising fact was that he had come alone — I was now sure that he…was strong and confident. Alpha Xenos smiled, never withdrawing his body from shielding me whilst his eyes slyly narrowed at the man.
When I was not expecting it, the alpha suddenly turned his features at me, his smile never falling from his face. "You have been a…good girl. Run Ophelia! Run as far as you can!" Alpha Xenos aired and ordered me in a breaking voice. His eyes were suddenly beginning to protrude with terror.
What was he doing?
"
There…I took a step back, my heart slowly hammering itself against my chest. I unconsciously darted my eyes at my mate and found him glaring at me. My heart skipped a beat at that moment — every movement I made, his eyes slyly followed it, studying my figure as if it was the first time he saw a creature like myself. His keen glance slid over my face but there was something else in his eyes, so dark and colourful at the same time. Careless; his eyes were filled with curiosity — there was something ravenous in them, an explosive intimation.
Unexpectedly, his face turned stone-cold. His eyes were now completely covered by the small portion of darkness I had spotted before — no emotion! He sharply turned his features away from me, clenching his teeth so that his jaw protruded to skin.
"Let's get over with!" The man spat through his gnashed teeth, his eyes now glaring at Alpha Xenos and the two guards. My heart quickly sank back into a void of shamelessness and agony — it broke as I staggered back when I had finally understood what was happening. My mate…was not here to rescue me…he was not here to take me away from this place — I saw it all in his eyes, but…I could be wrong, right?
"Finally!" Alpha Xenos growled as he charged towards my mate…! That was it, the only thing I heard was the sound of swords clanking against each other. I suddenly felt my legs start to work — I had obeyed Alpha Xenos again and ran as fast as I could, breathless and without knowledge of where I was going. Adrenaline rushed everywhere else into my system when I heard the ground shake once more. I honestly didn't know what I was doing and had no reason to explain why I was running.
Every time, I wanted to turn back and take a glance at my mate, after all, he could be here to save me.
"OPHELIA!" Out of the blue, I heard someone call me and it was alpha Xenos. Sorrow lingered in the waves of his voice, prompting me to stop running.
I was confused, he had told me to run, I obeyed and now he was calling me. Two unknown individuals rushed in my direction, I knew they were with a man that is supposed to be my mate — I could tell because of their clothing. I stopped, my hands were trembling as my gaze stopped on the two huge men that stood before me.
"Ophelia?"
Alpha Xenos called once again and I abruptly turned my features at him and quickly spotted a sword that was supposed to be his, neatly put on his neck, romantically cutting through his skin. There on his knees, Alpha Xenos had fallen with his eyes directly looking at me — there was pity shimmering in both of their pupils. This was unbelievable — a man who had abused me these past three years was feeling sorry…for me?
There was nothing I felt but confusion. Why was he suddenly doing this? My heart had almost stopped a second my eyes landed on his pale face that was free from emotions, he was not struggling.
It was him with a name unknown to me — the very same individual whom I know was fated to me, he was firmly holding a sword on Alpha Xenos's neck whilst looking at me with eyes that disclosed no welcoming feelings. "Any last words have you?" The man asked a question that was meant for Alpha Xenos whom he had roughly pulled his hair back, exposing his neck and yet…his eyes were glued on my figure.
A frown swiftly came between his eyes and that was when I realised that I was still raimented in a transparent dress. My hands quickly and nervously enveloped my body but I could tell that my manoeuvre did not work, for the man scoffed with distaste.
"Ophelia…please…forgive me!" Alpha Xenos spat as he coughed blood that fell on his quivering lips. "W-what…!?" I whispered. I was taken aback, Alpha Xenos had just apologised to me. I had no time to react and I soon heard a rumbling peal of laughter squeezing itself in my ears — a very evil one.
"Farewell!" The man, my mate, hissed with a smirk and quickly without any emotion, he harshly sliced the sword across Alpha Xenos's neck, cutting his head off from the rest of his body. My eyes involuntarily closed but it was late…I had seen what happened. I felt my stomach start to churn — there was a sour taste in the back of my mouth. I limply fell to my knees while covering my ears with my trembling hands.
"And…now you. Any last words?" My mate hissed, his eyes staring directly into mine. No emotion, just darkness.
"W-what…?"
Slow calculated footsteps magnificently palpitated in my direction. My breath had already quickened and there on the spot as I stood still, I tried to use every muscle in my quivering figure to Stiffler a whimper. "W-what…!?" I quietly aired a query through my shaking breath whilst I involuntarily counted every step he made in my direction. So bold and careless, the man smirked at my confusion, never stopping shuffling towards me. There was no reflection of welcoming emotions on his features — nothing! His eyes, instead of gleaming, were overwhelmed by menacing darkness. "Chief, everyone is dead!" An unknown soldier stormed into the fallen building, quickly followed by two more, their bloody hands firmly clasping what I believed to be guns. "There's only one of them left to die…!" The man hissed through his teeth, his eyes deadly staring into mine. With each word he spat, a shadow constantly flashed across his eyes as they loomed over my figure. I knew it, he was talking about me a
[AUTHOR'S VOICE] "Oh, Moon Goddess! I humbly request, please take away this pain. I am unable to breathe — my lungs are filled with smoke that hiss; I cannot scream my lungs out. Please heal my soul…!"——Hesitatingly, a pair of startling chartreuse eyes slowly opened only to collide with a heavy set of bright dots that evilly pulsated effortlessly, to make the one who has just woken up from a dry, dreamless world, groan in response to their blinding reflections. There, Ophelia lay on the tiny bed that squealed pitifully as she was manoeuvring to move her body which felt unusually heavy. Move? No, that was incredibly impossible and hard. Just as she was attempting to move at least her feet, every inch of her body was quickly embraced by an unbearable pain that sharply resonated everywhere in her muscles. Her tiny figure was shivering as if she had been struck by a bullet — she was feeling very cold. "W-where…!?" Ophelia opened her mouth, trying to speak but was swiftly thwarted by
[BELLS JINGLE LOUDER]——"The night has finally come!" There, I quietly hissed to myself albeit glaring at my reflection in a golden framed huge mirror. Nothingness but tears started to make a hideous waterfall on the floor of my cheeks. I clutched my chest instantly when I felt my heart start to beat against the unsteady walls of my chest. There is possibly nothing I can do than just allow tears to flood across my face. Dread had already touched every part of my throbbing organ with its sticky fingertips. "My tears…! How long do I have to cry!? Tis going to happen, I cannot escape it." I stuttered under my quivering breath, while both of my hands began to tremble. I wished I had not smelled despair as it floated helplessly almost victoriously in the air. My eyes which were filled with salty waters quickly began exploring my naked figure that shivered greatly as if I was struck by a bullet. With each intimidating kiss from the bone-chilling wind that has been mischievously sneaking

There I stood with legs that were slowly becoming numb. I felt an awful rising in my chest that hindered my breathing — my chest heaved heavily as I looked into space. Bit by bit, beats of sweat were gathering on my forehead as I frowned at the heaviness in my head. It was peculiar — I suddenly felt like smiling every now and then without a comprehensible reason. He was close, Alpha Xenos was close to reaching me, how I wished to shrink into nothingness. It was ominously hushed in the room, only his movements made obvious sounds that broke into my heart. "Oh, how enchanting you are!" Alpha Xenos aired as soon as he had halted just a breath away from me. Unintentionally, I inhaled his pungent smell that sharply travelled down to my oesophagus, nauseating me instantly.
"Bells! I heard bells jingling in the deepest part of my ears. Ophelia? Everyone dares to call me by my name now — parents, is that you?" I quietly hissed as I dwelled in an alien, unknown world. There was nothing there but dust and the crescent moon that cast its rays on my figure as I walked in an unknown direction. I could hear nothing but the wind whispering foreign words into my ears. Where exactly am I? Is this Paradise at last? Possibly, but I have been told that Paradise was brighter and more colourful — this place can't be Paradise, I refused to believe. "OPHELIA!" Someone called out my name once again, making my heart skip a beat. Curiosity had suddenly embraced my head and heart, no one had thought of calling me by my real name, only that Alpha Xenos had given me — Slave Woman.
