When I declined Lessia’s request to go out, a part of me knew she was going to defy my order, even though she knew I did it to protect her. But I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Seeing her there in the woods, tied to a tree by those rogues, ignited a ferocious form of rage in me. She was treated like some animal. I needed to get to the bottom of the rogues attacks, because they were getting out of control.

William had suggested we spares some rogues for the sole purpose of interrogating them. Even though I knew his reasons were logical, I wanted to kill them all, and send their dead bodies to whoever was responsible for their actions, which was pretty obvious, Maddox.
