Chapter 6

Timothy's chest constricted as he looked at Mavis.

How could it be her? She had a one-night stand with him, and she even told him to get out of her face a couple of hours ago. How could she be the woman in a marriage agreement with him?

Timothy couldn't believe such a coincidence could happen. What shocked him more was Mavis' agreement to marry him.

Mavis deeply despised him, so she should have wanted to cancel the marriage agreement more than anyone else.

In the meantime, Mavis stood opposite Timothy in silence, staring at him with a complicated gaze. She didn't know why she had agreed to the arranged marriage, either.

Perhaps it was because she felt bad for Timothy since she overheard many people humiliating him when she was in the yard. She convinced herself that was the case. Other than doing it out of pity, Mavis couldn't think of another explanation.

She couldn't possibly have fallen in love with Timothy after their one-night stand, right?
