“Cherry? The one I saw you kissing in your office this morning?” Laura asked while looking at me. Her striking blue eyes were wide open, staring at me while looking for answers that I had none. “Vincent, what has she got to do with my parent’s death? I don’t understand”

I cleared my throat as I felt dagger stares coming from my parents. “No, I did not kiss her. She came to me. Nothing happened. I promise you that. I have no feelings for her than respect her being Calvin’s sister”

Sweat were forming on my forehead as I saw her squinting her eyes on me. I hope she believed me.

I caressed her back gently while looking at her for a moment. I wished I had some answers for her. But, Cherry’s involvement in the accident was something I would never had guessed. “I don’t know, Laura. Cherry does not look like a murderer to me. But, I’ll find out”
