Freya

I woke up feeling like my chest was weighed down by a hundred bricks. The room was silent, except for the faint hum of the heater in the bathroom, but my thoughts were anything but quiet. I couldn’t stop replaying the events of the past few hours. Victor professing his love… Stacey’s words… and my own conflicted emotions.

Was I rushing into something again?

That question haunted me as I stared at the ceiling. I had a pattern, and I hated that I couldn’t seem to break free from it. Dennis had been my rebound after my last heartbreak, and look where that got me. I didn’t even take time to heal then. I just jumped in headfirst, hoping love would fix me.

In my defense, I actually didn’t want to jump into another relationship that fast… I had made up my mind not to even try anything called love again but that evil b*tch, Sonia. She made me believe Dennis was the man I was made for and just the right piece for my life to have meaning. Silly me… I fell for it…

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   I love you so much, Freya!

Victor The hum of the jet engines was steady, a reminder that we were moments away from takeoff. I sat back in my seat, staring out the window as the crew moved around. My phone buzzed, snapping me out of my thoughts. I picked it up and saw Stacey’s name flashing on the screen. “Hey, Stace,” I answered, trying to sound neutral, but my voice betrayed a hint of melancholy. “Victor,” she said, her tone cautious, “are you okay?” She asked while I blinked weakly.“I’m fine,” I replied, though the lump in my throat said otherwise. There was a pause before she asked, “Freya didn’t come, did she?” I exhaled softly. “No… no, she didn’t.” Her silence was louder than words. Finally, she said, “I don’t get it. I talked to her earlier, and she sounded excited about going with you. She even asked what kind of trip it was.” She let out while I frowned, confused but unwilling to let my hopes rise again. “She was probably talking about work or something else, Stacey. It’s okay. I’m not mad

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Freya has to suffer!!

SoniaI sat on the cold, hard bench in the holding cell, staring at the wall, my mind racing. My lawyer had just left, giving me what should have been good news… the judge had allowed bail. But instead of feeling relieved, I felt trapped. The bail amount was huge. Impossible.Freya was really working tirelessly to keep me in here. After her little nasty talk the other day, she must have been so pained that I showed her who she really was. I mean, it’s really not my fault if the men in your life don’t find you worthy of love and commitment. She must have been so pained to the bone, and then ran to the judge to pull this strings.I can’t give her that satisfaction… never!I clenched my fists. I had no money left.Everything I saved was with Dennis, and we both blew it, indulging in our secret trips, designer clothes, and wild nights, living like we had the world at our feet, and we could never get caught. Even if I had a little left, it wouldn’t be enough. And Dennis? He wouldn’t eve

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Jeff can’t leave me, I won’t accept defeat!

SoniaThe morning started with an unexpected message… one that sent my heart racing with both anxiety and anticipation. "Get ready. You’re leaving for a test." I stared at the officer who delivered the message, my pulse quickening. “What test?” She gave me a blank look, then shrugged. “Don’t know. Orders are orders. You can either get ready now or go in whatever state you’re in when the car arrives. Your choice.” I gritted my teeth as she walked away, my mind already piecing things together. This was it. The paternity test. Jeff was finally going through with it. I let out a slow breath, placing a hand on my stomach. If I don’t play my cards right, this test could be the final nail in my coffin.I can’t let that happen. I needed a plan. And this time, I had to make damn sure I executed it perfectly. I took extra time getting ready, even though my wardrobe options in this hellhole were severely limited. I had nothing good to wear, but thankfully, I have a very pretty face,

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   She has no idea what’s coming for her!

SoniaThe moment I stepped back into the waiting area, all thoughts of Jeff’s humiliation burned away at the sight of Mia standing there, arms crossed, impatiently waiting for me. Finally, something was going my way. I was already thinking she wouldn’t come, but seeing her now, I knew my little drama yesterday worked. Her eyes flicked over me, studying my face. “You look like hell.” She exclaimed while I let out a short, humorless laugh. “You would too if you spent the morning getting insulted by a man who used to worship you.” I replied painfully while she curved her lips in a frown.“It’s Jeff, the whole drama with Freya affected our relationship, and he now wants nothing to do with me. I planned on playing my way back into his heart today.” I explained. She smirked. “So, it didn’t work?” My jaw tightened. “No. But that’s fine. I don’t need Jeff. I have a better plan. I’ll deal with him later. For now, we are taking care of the more pressing issues.” I let out.Mia’s smirk fa

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Our first s*x

Freya The evening air was cool against my skin as I stepped out of the car, stretching my legs after the long flight. The city lights shimmered in the distance, a quiet hum of life buzzing around us, but my attention was locked on Victor. He stepped out beside me, effortlessly composed as always. His suit was slightly rumpled from travel, but somehow, that only made him look more irresistible. His sharp eyes swept over me, taking me in from head to toe, and a tiny, nervous flutter stirred in my stomach. I tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear, suddenly self-conscious. “I know, I look a mess,” I muttered, smoothing out the creases in my dress. “I barely had time to pack, let alone pick out something perfect. It was a last minute decision, so I just had to make do with what I had on.” His gaze lifted from my dress to my face, and a slow, knowing smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. “Freya,” he said, his voice like velvet, “you look perfect already. You don’t need to cha

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Freya, my woman, my everything!

Victor“You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," I said softly, while Freya beamed with smiles."How do you do it, Victor? How do you keep making me fall more and more in love with every word, gesture, and action?" I smiled when she said this and then wrapped my arms around her, pulling her in even tighter. "It's easy when it's you, Freya. You make it so easy." We stayed there for a moment, wrapped in each other and surrounded by the sweet quietness. After a long silence, I pulled back slightly. "Alright, my love. As much as I'd like to keep holding you forever, but for now, we have somewhere to be." I said, placing a finger over her lips."Somewhere?" She raised an eyebrow. I nodded. "There's an art exhibition in town tonight. Thought it'd be something you'd enjoy." She beamed at this. "That sounds amazing. Let me just unpack and find a dress." She chimed in, but before she could move, I gently grabbed her hand. "No need for that. Check the closet." "The closet?" She fr

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   I can’t wait to be yours!

FreyaThe moment we stepped into the hall, I felt like I'd walked straight into a dream. The grand hall was illuminated by warm golden lights, casting a soft glow over the polished marble floors and high arched ceilings. Crystal chandeliers hung elegantly above, their prisms scattering little specks of rainbow light across the room. There was music being played from a string quartet tucked in the background, and the sweet scent of expensive cologne and floral arrangements hung in the air. Art pieces, paintings, sculptures, intricate jewelry designs were displayed on elegant pedestals and along the colorful walls. Each piece had a little spotlight, making it feel like a treasure waiting to be discovered. Servers in neat black-and-white uniforms moved gracefully through the crowd, offering trays of sparkling champagne."Oh my God, Victor," I whispered, clutching his arm. "This place is stunning." He smiled down at me, his eyes full of warmth. "I knew you'd love it." "I feel like we

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Need to get rid of Sonia!

DennisFor the first time in what felt like forever, I finally caught a break. The officer’s words still echoed in my ears. "Your bail has been paid. You're free to go." I barely reacted at first, too drained, too jaded from everything that had happened. I didn’t even bother to ask how the whole bail issue was sorted. I didn’t care. Whoever helped would show up sooner or later, and I would be ready to thank the person. I got my things, changed, and was full of relief. I was finally free from this horror. But as I stepped outside, my relief vanished the moment I saw her. Sonia. She stood there, wearing that smug little smirk like she had just won the lottery. Her arms were crossed, her chin tilted up, and before I could even ask, she blurted out, “Guess what? I’m out too! Just got the good news.” She let out with a broad smile while I clenched my jaw, my fingers curling into fists at my sides. Of course, she got out too. Nothing good ever happened to me without some kind of c

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Help me or I expose your secrets!

SoniaI stood there, completely still, even as the air around us felt like it was vibrating with tension. Marshall's voice echoed in my head long after he’d stopped talking, like someone had stamped his words into my skull with a branding iron.‘A video... a judge that doesn't tolerate abuse... no way out.’And Dennis? God, he looked like a damn ghost. He was pale, shaken and for once, speechless.I watched him, watched the slow crumbling of his ego, his plans, his fake sense of control. And that’s when it hit me.He’s finished. Like… really finished. It was written all over his face. I didn’t need a judge or a lawyer to confirm it. I’d seen that look before, on men who lost everything and had no idea how to claw their way back. That mix of disbelief and slow, dawning horror that they’d gambled with too much and lost it all.And just like that, everything in me snapped to attention.Because I might’ve been a lot of things, but I wasn’t stupid. And I sure as hell wasn’t going down with

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   There’s no way out of this!

DennisI stood there, frozen, the sounds around me swallowed up in this buzzing roar in my ears. I couldn’t even blink. My eyes were locked on the spot where she had fallen just moments ago.Victor had carried her away like she weighed nothing, like she meant everything.I hadn’t moved. Not when she collapsed. Not even when Victor gave me that look… the kind you only give someone you want to bury with your bare hands.I’d seen men like him lose control before. And for a second, I thought he would.I actually braced for it, his fist, his rage but it never came. He didn’t throw a punch. He didn’t say a word.He just held her like the world could fall apart and she was the only thing he wanted to save. And I was still standing there like some idiot villain in an expensive courtroom drama. The cameras were still rolling, people were whispering, and phones were up. I could feel their judgment crawling on my skin like ants.“She fell… I didn’t even touch her,” I mumbled, to no one in partic

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Something bad

VictorI didn’t realize Dennis was coming after us until I suddenly heard someone calling Freya’s name. I looked back and there he was, looking scared and desperate as he begged her to stop and hear him out. I knew Freya would never do such and I didn’t give the room either. I held onto her tightly as I continued leading the way out.All of a sudden, I looked again and saw him trying to hold her. I shoved him aside but he held Freya instead. She also tried pushing him away but then lost her balance and the next I heard was a loud bang on the floor. Freya had slumped and immediately passed out. For a second, I was blank, I was completely confused, I didn’t understand what was going on at all. One second, I was holding her hand and the next, she was lying there on the floor.“Freya!!” I heard the bastard call out her name and that jerked me back to reality. He caused all this, and he still had the guts to call her name. My hand rolled up a tight fist and I was going to land it on his

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   She’s dead!

DennisI just couldn’t hide my excitement as I saw the defeated look on Freya’s face. Of course, I didn’t like how everyone was now judging her but atleast, how she knows it’s better to be by my side. If she had just gotten on the winning side, she wouldn’t be in that box right now, wishing to magically disappear.I was still deep in my thoughts, when Freya’s lawyer stood up with a smug-ass confidence, that made me angry. He had an infuriating calm that only a man with an ace in his pocket could afford. I should’ve known right there that something was about to happen but I didn’t.I was too busy basking in my moment, too sure of my win, too caught up in watching Freya squirm in that seat while Marshall dragged her through the dirt. She was finally cornered. Finally exposed. “Your Honor, in response to the accusation of adultery, the defense would like to submit this document as evidence.”The bailiff walked it over. A plain white envelope.Nothing fancy. But my gut twisted the moment

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Freya is the real villain here!

DennisI sat in the cold corner of the courtroom waiting area, barely breathing as I stared at the screen in front of me. The earlier scene replayed over and over in my head. It was so silly. Victor and Freya walking hand-in-hand like some damn royal couple. The smugness on his face. The confidence in her step. The glittering little smirk she wore like a crown. God, it made my blood boil. And then that announcement. He said he was marrying her. In front of the whole damn media. My hand clenched into a fist, nails biting into my palm. That was supposed to be me. I was the one who knew her first. I was the one who’d held her, who listened to her late-night rambles, who knew what she looked like when she cried herself to sleep. He was just a shiny, upgraded rebound. A temporary distraction. A damn fantasy. And now she was letting him parade her like some prized trophy? And to think, she still went back to him after everything that happened at her house. How desperate can she get? That fo

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Stay tuned for our wedding!

FreyaI had never known a silence this loud.Sitting in the backseat of Victor’s black Escalade, with tinted windows shielding us from the chaos outside, I could hear the faint sound of reporters buzzing around like bees drawn to scandal’s honey. Cameras flashing. Voices yelling our names. My name.My fingers clutched the silk hem of my dress. My heart wasn’t just pounding, it was racing, like it was trying to outrun the moment. I kept my eyes on the door handle. I couldn’t bring myself to reach for it.Victor sat beside me, calm as ever, dressed in that navy suit that always made him look like he ruled the damn world. And maybe he did. He had this way of exuding power without saying a word. But today, he wasn’t looking ahead. He was looking at me.“You’re shaking,” he said softly, reaching out to gently take my hand.“I’m not,” I whispered, even though I clearly was.His thumb brushed over my knuckles, and the warmth from his touch seeped into my skin, grounding me. “You don’t have t

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Queen of vengeance

Victor The moment Mia left and the front door clicked shut behind her, I didn’t wait.I turned to Freya and pulled her into my arms.God, she smelled like sweetness. She fit so perfectly against me. Her body warm, her breath still a little uneven from the storm we just weathered. But her eyes… her eyes were calm. Confident. That fire I’d always known was in her had finally erupted, and I couldn’t stop looking at her like she was the fiercest, most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.“I’m so damn proud of you,” I said, burying my face into the curve of her neck. “You didn’t even flinch.”She leaned back just a little, her hands resting against my chest, smiling in that soft, stunned way like she still didn’t quite believe what just happened.“You saw the way she cracked,” I added, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear. “You outplayed her. You outplayed everyone.”Her cheeks turned the faintest pink, and she looked down, like she was trying not to smile too much. But she couldn’t hide it.

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   I’m in!

Victor“Good afternoon Mr. Whitmore.” Mia let out with a broad smile.“Yes, good afternoon…” “Mia… it’s Mia.” She let out while I smiled too, and then pointed her to the sofa adjacent to me.“Please have your seat.” I chimed in but she didn’t sit where I pointed. She came over and sat next to me. I didn’t say anything and just smiled.“So I was told you came around, asking for me. What’s so important?” I finally said, breaking the silence.Instead of answering, Mia stood up slowly. Her stilettos clicked against the hardwood floor as she walked toward me. Something about her stride made my skin twitch. It was confident… too confident. Almost rehearsed.I leaned back slightly in my seat, still watching her, my mind alert. But not alert enough. She stepped close, too close and placed her hands on my shoulders, applying the gentlest pressure until I leaned back more fully into the couch.“Mia…” I warned lightly, a single brow rising. But she didn’t stop. She straddled me without permissi

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   You’re the villain, Dennis!

DennisI woke up feeling like the goddamn king of the world.I don’t think I’d smiled this much in days. Hell, maybe weeks. But today? Today, the sun seemed to shine a little brighter through the curtains, the air smelled a little sweeter, and the weight that had been pressing down on my chest like a damn anchor? Gone.Gone, because I did it. Freya and Victor… over. I didn’t even need confirmation… call it intuition, gut feeling, divine karma, whatever the hell you want. After everything I unveiled, and the way Victor’s face twisted when I exposed what she never told him… There was no way in hell they were still together. Not after that.I stretched like a man who’d just won the lottery, kicked the covers off, and swung my feet onto the cold floor. I was humming before I even got to the bathroom. Brushed my teeth like I had a hot date, slapped some water on my face, and stared at my reflection with that smug-ass grin plastered across my face.“Game over, Victor,” I muttered, smirking.
