Sonia

I sat on the cold, hard bench in the holding cell, staring at the wall, my mind racing. My lawyer had just left, giving me what should have been good news… the judge had allowed bail. But instead of feeling relieved, I felt trapped.

The bail amount was huge. Impossible.

Freya was really working tirelessly to keep me in here. After her little nasty talk the other day, she must have been so pained that I showed her who she really was. I mean, it’s really not my fault if the men in your life don’t find you worthy of love and commitment.

She must have been so pained to the bone, and then ran to the judge to pull this strings.

I can’t give her that satisfaction… never!

I clenched my fists. I had no money left.

Everything I saved was with Dennis, and we both blew it, indulging in our secret trips, designer clothes, and wild nights, living like we had the world at our feet, and we could never get caught. Even if I had a little left, it wouldn’t be enough. And Dennis? He wouldn’t eve

SoniaThe morning started with an unexpected message… one that sent my heart racing with both anxiety and anticipation. "Get ready. You’re leaving for a test." I stared at the officer who delivered the message, my pulse quickening. “What test?” She gave me a blank look, then shrugged. “Don’t know. Orders are orders. You can either get ready now or go in whatever state you’re in when the car arrives. Your choice.” I gritted my teeth as she walked away, my mind already piecing things together. This was it. The paternity test. Jeff was finally going through with it. I let out a slow breath, placing a hand on my stomach. If I don’t play my cards right, this test could be the final nail in my coffin.I can’t let that happen. I needed a plan. And this time, I had to make damn sure I executed it perfectly. I took extra time getting ready, even though my wardrobe options in this hellhole were severely limited. I had nothing good to wear, but thankfully, I have a very pretty face,

SoniaThe moment I stepped back into the waiting area, all thoughts of Jeff’s humiliation burned away at the sight of Mia standing there, arms crossed, impatiently waiting for me. Finally, something was going my way. I was already thinking she wouldn’t come, but seeing her now, I knew my little drama yesterday worked. Her eyes flicked over me, studying my face. “You look like hell.” She exclaimed while I let out a short, humorless laugh. “You would too if you spent the morning getting insulted by a man who used to worship you.” I replied painfully while she curved her lips in a frown.“It’s Jeff, the whole drama with Freya affected our relationship, and he now wants nothing to do with me. I planned on playing my way back into his heart today.” I explained. She smirked. “So, it didn’t work?” My jaw tightened. “No. But that’s fine. I don’t need Jeff. I have a better plan. I’ll deal with him later. For now, we are taking care of the more pressing issues.” I let out.Mia’s smirk fa

Freya The evening air was cool against my skin as I stepped out of the car, stretching my legs after the long flight. The city lights shimmered in the distance, a quiet hum of life buzzing around us, but my attention was locked on Victor. He stepped out beside me, effortlessly composed as always. His suit was slightly rumpled from travel, but somehow, that only made him look more irresistible. His sharp eyes swept over me, taking me in from head to toe, and a tiny, nervous flutter stirred in my stomach. I tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear, suddenly self-conscious. “I know, I look a mess,” I muttered, smoothing out the creases in my dress. “I barely had time to pack, let alone pick out something perfect. It was a last minute decision, so I just had to make do with what I had on.” His gaze lifted from my dress to my face, and a slow, knowing smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. “Freya,” he said, his voice like velvet, “you look perfect already. You don’t need to cha

Victor“You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," I said softly, while Freya beamed with smiles."How do you do it, Victor? How do you keep making me fall more and more in love with every word, gesture, and action?" I smiled when she said this and then wrapped my arms around her, pulling her in even tighter. "It's easy when it's you, Freya. You make it so easy." We stayed there for a moment, wrapped in each other and surrounded by the sweet quietness. After a long silence, I pulled back slightly. "Alright, my love. As much as I'd like to keep holding you forever, but for now, we have somewhere to be." I said, placing a finger over her lips."Somewhere?" She raised an eyebrow. I nodded. "There's an art exhibition in town tonight. Thought it'd be something you'd enjoy." She beamed at this. "That sounds amazing. Let me just unpack and find a dress." She chimed in, but before she could move, I gently grabbed her hand. "No need for that. Check the closet." "The closet?" She fr

FreyaThe moment we stepped into the hall, I felt like I'd walked straight into a dream. The grand hall was illuminated by warm golden lights, casting a soft glow over the polished marble floors and high arched ceilings. Crystal chandeliers hung elegantly above, their prisms scattering little specks of rainbow light across the room. There was music being played from a string quartet tucked in the background, and the sweet scent of expensive cologne and floral arrangements hung in the air. Art pieces, paintings, sculptures, intricate jewelry designs were displayed on elegant pedestals and along the colorful walls. Each piece had a little spotlight, making it feel like a treasure waiting to be discovered. Servers in neat black-and-white uniforms moved gracefully through the crowd, offering trays of sparkling champagne."Oh my God, Victor," I whispered, clutching his arm. "This place is stunning." He smiled down at me, his eyes full of warmth. "I knew you'd love it." "I feel like we

DennisFor the first time in what felt like forever, I finally caught a break. The officer’s words still echoed in my ears. "Your bail has been paid. You're free to go." I barely reacted at first, too drained, too jaded from everything that had happened. I didn’t even bother to ask how the whole bail issue was sorted. I didn’t care. Whoever helped would show up sooner or later, and I would be ready to thank the person. I got my things, changed, and was full of relief. I was finally free from this horror. But as I stepped outside, my relief vanished the moment I saw her. Sonia. She stood there, wearing that smug little smirk like she had just won the lottery. Her arms were crossed, her chin tilted up, and before I could even ask, she blurted out, “Guess what? I’m out too! Just got the good news.” She let out with a broad smile while I clenched my jaw, my fingers curling into fists at my sides. Of course, she got out too. Nothing good ever happened to me without some kind of c

SoniaI saw the way Dennis’ face twisted in fury, the way his hands clenched into fists by his sides. Everything was crumbling. The life we had built, the security we had fought for… it was slipping right through our fingers. But I wasn’t about to let it go without a fight, and I wouldn’t let him give up either.Seeing as he was unraveling, his mind racing… desperate for solutions, his whole world flipped upside down. He was spiraling, completely disorganized. I knew that was my opening. He needed me, whether he admitted it or not. And I would make sure he realized it. I had watched him fall apart before, seen him at his lowest when things went to hell, and every single time, I had been the one to pick him back up. To clean up his mess. And this time wouldn’t be any different. This was my perfect chance. I would get him to back to me… and everything would naturally fall into place.I reached for his arm, softening my voice into something comforting, something familiar. “Dennis,

SoniaI stood there, frozen, as Dennis walked away. It wasn’t supposed to happen like this. I had always been the one in control, the one who dictated how things played out. But for the first time in my life, I felt powerless. I reached for him again, my voice trembling. “Dennis, please… don’t do this.” I begged, but he didn’t stop. I stumbled after him, gripping his sleeve desperately. “I’ll do anything. We can fix this together. You don’t have to go back to her. Please, Dennis, I’m begging you right now. We… we had a plan. We were supposed to…” he didn’t even let me finish before he yanked his arm away so forcefully that I nearly lost my balance. “There is no ‘we’, Sonia.” His voice was cold, final. “There never was.” I shook my head, refusing to accept it. “That’s not true.” My throat tightened as I fought the rising panic. “You love me. You told me you loved me. You stayed with me. We went through everything together. You married me, and it’s written all over your word

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   An impulsive move!

FreyaI stepped out of the office, stretching my arms after a long and productive day. The sun was setting, casting a golden hue over the street. I couldn’t believe how smoothly the brunch with Adrian had gone. I came back to the office once I left the restaurant and had been working since then. My radar was so high because of the turn of events with Adrian, and I didn’t even know when the day went by so fast. Finally calling it a day now, I felt a sense of accomplishment, but also a weight of fatigue settling in. As I walked towards the parking lot, my eyes widened in surprise. Leaning casually against his sleek black car was Victor, looking effortlessly handsome in a tailored suit. My heart skipped a beat. Without thinking, I rushed toward him and wrapped my arms around his torso. His warmth and familiar scent instantly soothed me.“Victor! What are you doing here?” I asked, my voice a mix of excitement and curiosity. He smiled, his eyes twinkling with affection. “I knew you’d be e

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   I’m dedicated to ruining Sonia!

FreyaI made sure to leave the office an hour early. I didn’t want to keep Adrian waiting. That was one of my unwritten rules, never keep a client waiting and, apart from that not being a good look on me. I like to get to a meeting venue earlier so I can put things in place and be sure there are no mistakes that could ruin things for me and the company. As I stepped into the elegant fine dining restaurant, the aroma of rich spices and freshly baked bread filled the air. My heels clicked softly against the marble floor as I did a quick scan of the place and I was impressed. A polite young waiter greeted me with a warm smile."Good evening, ma'am. Do you have a reservation?" he asked.I smiled back. "Actually, I'd like to speak with the manager, please."The waiter’s expression shifted to curiosity but maintained professionalism. "Of course, ma'am. Please follow me."I was led to a secluded area near the bar, and within moments, the manager appeared. He was a tall, middle-aged man with

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   I’ve got a billionaire to impress!

FreyaMy favorite song was on repeat while I sang along and pretended the steering wheel was my drum. I was in such a good mood, the mood has registered with me ever since I put Sonia in her place at the dinner last night. And then the huge deal with Adrian made it so worthwhile. I just couldn’t get over the feeling, it was so exciting. I could barely wait till I got home to share the news with Victor. The moment the car pulled in front of the house, I made straight for the front door, ran upstairs and immediately called Victor. He listened patiently while I narrated with much excitement. When I finally finished, he revealed how proud he was of me and I couldn’t stop blushing. He was even prouder about the Sonia part. Though, he wished I had shamed her even more, but he was still impressed with the little I did. He had hinted at how he would have wickedly embarrassed her so much that she wouldn’t show her face in front of a man for months. When he said that, I laughed so much till my

SoniaI walked out of that event hall with my head held high. Not because I wasn’t shaken. Not because I wasn’t furious. But because I had to. I had to at least pretend I had control over the situation, even when my entire world had just come crashing down on me. Inside, I wanted to scream. To jump at Freya and dig my fingers into every corner of her face. But more than that, I wanted to undo what just happened. Adrian was supposed to be mine. That has been the plan ever since I sighted him at the store and walked up to him. I have spent every hour since then playing my part perfectly. Laughing at all his jokes, pretending to be fascinated by his boring business talk, wearing the exact type of dress I knew would tickle his fancy, touching him just enough to keep him wanting more but never giving in completely. It was all working. I knew it was working. Until stupid Freya decided to play the saint and ruin it all. I can’t even believe the speed with which she opened her mouth, and

FreyaI had never been more satisfied in my life. Standing there, watching Sonia’s entire new world crumble right before my eyes, was a moment I would never forget. She must have put a lot of effort into starting all over again with a new naive billionaire bjt I had just ruined all that for her. The way her smile faltered. The way the blood drained from her face. The way her fingers twitched, like she was scrambling for a way out but knew there was none. She had been exposed. And by the way Adrian’s entire demeanor changed, the flicker of realization in his sharp eyes, the disgust settling in his expression, it was clear that whatever web of lies she had spun around him had just snapped. Sonia must have felt it too because, in an instant, she switched tactics. “Adrian, baby, whatever she said…” she started, reaching for his arm. “Don’t touch me.” His voice was cold. Unforgiving. Sonia froze, her hand hovering in mid-air before she let it drop, looking up at him with wid

Sonia“Alrighty… I’ll be right here.” I said to Adrian while he left to briefly see one of his colleagues. As I watched him get mixed up in the crowd. I finally let out a deep sigh of relief. Ever since we stepped into the hall, it has been one introduction after the other. I liked it though, especially because he was so proud of being seen with a beautiful damsel like me. I enjoyed the attention too, the lingering effect I had on them all. “Oh my goodness, why didn’t I even think about this?” I thought to myself as I scanned the whole place again. It was full of billionaires, men with wealth and power. I should have invested more in getting myself into places like this instead of getting stuck on Dennis, whose first instinct was to betray me in the face of trouble.I mean, who does that? It’s not his fault anyway. I clearly wasted my time with the wrong man. Just imagine Adrian, his girlfriend doesn’t even have to do much, and he wouldn’t think twice before getting her the whole u

I glanced at the screen and immediately smiled seeing Victor’s face.Without wasting a second, I answered, my voice soft and teasing. “Missing me already?” The second I saw his face on the screen, though, my teasing smile faltered. His expression was tense, his brows pulled together in a way that told me something was off. I straightened up. “What’s wrong?” Victor let out a small sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. “The meeting got extended.” I blinked. “Extended?” He nodded, looking visibly frustrated. “Yeah. It was supposed to wrap up today, but there are still some loose ends to tie up. I won’t be able to leave first thing in the morning like we planned.” He let out a rough sigh. “I hate this. I want to be there with you.” I couldn’t help but smile at how sincere he sounded. “Victor, it’s fine.” I tilted my head, trying to reassure him. “It’s just a day or two, right? I smiled sweetly, tilting my head just a bit. “Oh, come on. It’s just a glass of juice. Five minutes, tops.” I let out a soft laugh. “Unless you’re worried I’ll poison you?” He chuckled, shaking his head. “That’s not it.” “Then what?” I pouted playfully. “You did something nice for me today. Let me return the favor, even if it’s just with a simple drink.” I could see the internal debate happening behind his eyes, but I knew I had him. Finally, with a small sigh, he nodded. “Alright. But just for a bit.” I grinned. “Great! Come on in.” I led him inside, making sure to sway my hips just enough to keep his eyes on me. Once inside, I gestured toward the couch. “Make yourself comfortable.” He looked around briefly before settling into the plus

SoniaAs I stepped into the store, I barely spared a glance at the bright fluorescent lights or the soft hum of customers moving around me. My focus was entirely on getting my groceries and getting out.Not that I particularly enjoyed shopping for basic necessities. No, I hated it. It reminded me of how low I had sunk, how far I had fallen from the life I once had. The life where I could walk into high-end boutiques and splurge on designer bags without batting an eye. But now? Now, I was stuck here, clutching my nearly empty wallet and calculating every single item I picked up like some desperate, broke girl. I sucked in a sharp breath, trying not to let my irritation show as I scanned the price tags. Every single one seemed to mock me. A box of cereal was enough to take out a chunk of what little I had left. A bottle of milk? That’s practically robbery. A muscle in my jaw ticked as I stared at my basket, already feeling the heavy weight of frustration settle in my chest. This
