Talk

Laura’s neck stretched as her back arched. Her eyes reached through the ceiling on top as she tried to catch her breath. Relief after the spasm came into her, as she calmed herself after the powerful release.

It was still a mind blowing sex.

Alejandro still always has this extreme vigor in him that racked her body violently. It’s almost surprising how her slender frame can take it.

She can feel him on the side. He was quick to detached himself immediately after there body became as one. Disentangling himself within seconds, acting as if he’s with a stranger in a one-night stand. Forgetting about their shared mutual orgasm.

She looked at him. She turned her body, angling it to his side as she lovingly embrace that warm swelling within her heart when she traced the face of her husband. Her eyes viewed his harsh features, yearning for something. She wanted to receive a loving caress, to be touched by him the way she desires. She wanted him to fulfill the imagination she always longed for and that is to be loved by him.

She can feel the urge that traveled in her fingers, the urge of wanting to touch his face. But being reminded by what she experienced, she knew that she would not be able to successfully do it. The words that he spewd out of his mouth, hovered inside her head. Days, weeks, months, and a year had passed already but the hurt is always the same, always present.

“Give me a child already, Laura. When are you going to bear me one?”

He immediately killed the afterglow that she felt when she heard his words! There were the words she prepared as an answer that burned her tongue because she’s been reprimanding herself even when she should have spoken the words she wanted to say before. There were a lot of chances for her to speak her truth.

She sat up and she sat up, naked. She can still feel how her body trembles and she was forced to drew both of her knees towards her chest. As she folded her body, wrapped her hands around her knees, she pressed her cheeks towards it. She then began to feel cold.

She stared at him while he was still laying on the bed—spreading it as if he’s this closest to spread his arms and fly. She pushed the absurdity of her thought, brushing it off and instead focus at her husband on the bed. It’s been a year and a half already. The circumstances they’ve been circling into is still the same. Laura then finally had the clearest of realization. She finally realized that it will never change. It wasn’t an abrupt one, rather it was something that develops steadily since the very first time she heard his words.

And Laura—she also had words for him. The one that she’s been trying not to say. The words that’s been staying at the tip of her tongue for months. Those five words she could’ve had spoken before. These were the words she couldn’t fathom concealing in her mind. These were the words she couldn’t swallow anymore as it is creating more lump in her throat whenever she’s trying not to utter it in front of him. She could no longer hide it and the words were ready to be spilled from her lips, without having the feeling of being in a state of discomfort. With an earnest desperation she opened her mouth to speak.

“I want a divorce, Alejandro”

She saw him. His body went rigid. It was easy for him to suddenly feel tensed. Every muscle on his body received an immediate effect as it went tight. His eyes went hooded and his upper lip curled mockingly before he turned his head to see her face.

“But I thought you love me. You love me. Right, Laura?” He taunted with a prideful gaze of cruelty.

It was enough for Laura to lower her eyelids. She was trying to mask the pain she felt because of the words he said at her. She was at best—of her trying to compose herself. When she was sure she had her emotions under her control, she then lifted her eyes to meet his dark gaze.

“I’m sorry, but not anymore.” She managed to say it without any hint of faltering in her voice. But she was hoping that the lie she just said sounded convincing.

“Ahuhhh…” He answered. It sounded too deceptive.

He then opened his mouth to speak of his next words. “But what happened to the I’ll love you forever, Alejandro?”

He stared at her with his darkened gaze. He was looking at her with the kind of gaze, showing her that he was intentionally trying to mock her with his answer.

“I don’t know. But all I can say that things changed, Alejandro.” Her tone were low, and the last words sounded like she was whispering something into the wind.

“And what are those things?” He rolled towards his side. He then propped his head with the use of his elbows, resting his head on both of his hands. He looked so much like an Italian actor playing the role of being in a Mafia organization. He looked so much like an actor in his repose.

Laura stared and she suddenly feel the desire flow through her. She swallowed it upon remembering the pang of pain she felt a while ago upon receiving the cruel scrutiny from her husband.

“Feelings change.” She was stuttering but she was able to finished her words with haughtiness in the tone she used.

Then again, she heard that husky pur of his approval. But Laura—she wasn’t fooled upon seeing his relaxed state because her husband isn’t relax as he pretend himself to be. He was tensed.

“I changed. I’ve changed, Ale.” Laura added.

He looked at her. He was staring at her as if he is accessing her. “You look no different.” He answered. His voice sounded too tender that it terrifes Laura.

“You’re still the same, wife.” His voice was firm—putting his words in place. “You are still the same Laura I married. The one who claimed that she loved me so much and that she wouldn’t be able to live without me. The one who left the scheme into her daddy’s hand, for him to have it done.”

“The one who made it sure that she will get exactly what she wanted.” He continued.

“The same timid little fawn who can’t even give me the only thing I have been asking for, for this pathetic excuse from this marriage.” He said unmoving—apathy was present in his words.

She wanted to slap his face. But instead she opened her mouth to respond. “And all of those were valid reasons for a divorce, Alejandro.” She answered with a strong tone implementing that her retort can somehow take him aback but she failed miserably when she saw his emotionless expression.

He shrugged his head in a graceful manner. “Maybe for you.” He said in an unmoving gaze. “But I told you from the very beginning and the arrangement is always been clear between the two of us. You will give me a son. There will be no way out of this marriage not until I will get what I want from you.”

Laura swallowed painfully. “This is not it. This is not the life I wanted.. I can’t live like this anymore.” She then buried her face down to her knees, exhaled as she battled to keep her tears from falling down her eyes.

“Neither of us had that much choice, cara.” He sat up and stood languidly he walked towards the bathroom—naked.

Laura heard the sounds coming from the bathroom seconds later. It took her a few seconds into getting back into a stable composure. She wiped the hot tears that fell down her face before she stood from the bed, mentally dragging herself into the belief that she will be okay.
