Chapter 26

Ivy was hungry as well and it was because of the trouble with Tarquin and Emma, she didn't have dinner.

She cooked the food and deserved to eat it, therefore she went downstairs but to her surprise, she met Tarquin inside.

He was not just standing there but eating the food which he had refused earlier. What was more shocking was how he consumed the food, he ate like his life depended on it.

He even failed to notice her presence because he was too engrossed in eating, therefore she decided to surprise him as well.

Tarquin whose body had stiffened, slowly turned to see Ivy. He thought it was his imagination but he was wrong.

The spoon dropped from his hand and he shamefully managed to chew the food in his mouth.

"Tarquin, why can't you let go of your pride? Sometimes humility could save a person from a lot of mortification like the one you're facing right now. All I did was invite you for dinner not like I asked you to fuck me" Ivy said with a hint of sarcasm in her last sentence.
