Chapter Sixty-Two: On Television

Marissa's POV

The sun was shining brightly, I noticed, while I was in the backseat of the taxi going to the hospital. Diego also left my apartment after we monitored the man who fixed the door. He informed me that he would go to my apartment tonight so we could go together to the airport at dawn and ride the airplane to Palawan.

For some reason, I just could not help but get excited. I mean, I like him, but not really. Around him, I would still get uncomfortable, because I cannot adjust like that easily. For over the years, he has been my boss and is always so cruel and demanding towards me. Who would have thought that in this contract, he would change into a kind and sweet man?

Or maybe he is nice but the world has turned him into a heartless and conceited man because no one was there for him.

Because for the first time in his life, there is me, his first friend? I sighed and looked at my tummy. I placed my hand on it and caressed it like I had a baby inside.
