Ned was surprised to receive an invitation from Mr. Harris; his father to discuss the issue he was having with his wine production. He arrived at the Harris residence, greeted by Harris' butler, and was shown into the spacious living room where Harris was waiting for him.

"Good evening son," Harris said, extending his hand. "Thank you for coming."

"Good evening, sir," Ned replied, shaking his hand. "It's my pleasure to be here."

As they sat down to discuss the issue, Desmond, Nora's husband, walked into the living room, surprised to see Ned there. He acted cordial, greeting Ned with a smile and offering him a drink. However, as they talked, Desmond couldn't help but act like a romantic husband to his wife, Nora, who was also present in the room.

Nora noticed the way her husband was acting and felt a twinge of guilt. She knew that she had been unfaithful to him emotionally, and now seeing Desmond act this way made her feel even more guilty.
