I had expected this to happen. All eyes looked at me sharply. Some were confused, while others looked suspicious. But that wasn't the case now.

Darren's mother, sitting haughtily at the end of the table, stood up and pointed at me. "You have no right to interfere in Enrick's company business because you're not Enrick's anyone. You're not married yet but already living in the same house. What kind of woman are you? How rude and unethical!" she railed in a sharp voice that echoed throughout the room.

Some board members were shocked at her accusation, and I could feel their glares. Darren's mom then called security, "Security! Get this woman out of here immediately!"
