Noella’s POV

Enrick seemed to take a deep breath as if gathering the courage to reveal something heavy in his heart. "I know I'm a coward," he said softly, his voice full of regret. "For lying to you."

He unlinked our hands and sat in a more serious position, his body leaning slightly forward. "I first liked you when you were doing something in the office. It was a very attractive first glance in my eyes."

I looked at her attentively. "So you've liked me for a long time?" I asked, trying to digest this new information.

"Yes," she replied with a weak nod. "But I'm afraid you don't want that. Maybe you hated me."

My heart was touched by the vulnerability she showed. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down before taking a fairly bold step. I reached for his hand that he had released earlier, feeling the warmth and sincerity behind his grasp. "Enrick," I called softly, "look at me and listen to me carefully."

I caught his face gently, turning his face so that his eyes met mine. H
