Selena stood frozen in the middle of the luxurious bedroom, her breaths shallow and uneven. She felt like a rabbit caught in a hunter’s gaze, and the hunter was Julian Mathers.

He stood by the window with his tall frame. The sleeves of his crisp white shirt were rolled up, exposing strong forearms, and the top buttons were undone, revealing a hint of his toned chest. His dark hair was slightly disheveled, and his intense, almost predatory gaze was locked on her.

Selena’s heart pounded in her chest as he took a slow, deliberate step toward her. She felt the heat of his presence before he even touched her.

“Why are you trembling?” Julian asked, his voice a low, velvety drawl. He smirked, a wicked glint in his dark eyes. “Are you afraid of me?”

She swallowed hard, her throat becoming dry. “I’m not afraid of you,” she lied because her voice was barely above a whisper.

Julian’s smirk deepened as he closed the distance between them. He tilted his head, studying her with the intensity of a predator sizing up his prey.

“No? Then why are your hands shaking?”

Selena quickly clasped her hands together, trying to hide her nervousness. But Julian noticed everything as he always does.

“You’re like an open book,” his voice turned softer though no less dangerous. “And right now, I’m having far too much fun reading you.”

She looked away, her cheeks burning, but he caught her chin between his fingers and forced her to meet his gaze. His touch was firm but not rough, and the heat of his skin sent a shiver down her spine.

“Look at me when I'm talking to you,” he commanded in his deep voice. “I'm not someone whom you can show your ignorance.”

Her wide, doe-like eyes met his, and for a moment, she felt like she was drowning in their depths. His gaze was dark and intense, filled with something she couldn’t quite decipher—something dangerous or maybe something alluring too.

“Hmm, not bad. You’re beautiful,” His thumb brushed against her jawline, and she gasped at the unexpected tenderness of the gesture.

“Julian…Stop-” she began, but he silenced her by placing a finger against her rosy soft lips.

“Shh,” he shushed her, his voice laced with both amusement and authority. “I’ve waited a long time for this moment. Don’t spoil it. Let me take a good look at my prize.”

She tried to step back, but he caught her wrist and pulled her closer. Her breath hitched as she collided with his chest, the warmth of his body seeping into her.

“Don’t run,” he said softly, his lips curving into an almost sadistic smile. “You’ll only make me chase you the more you try to run.”

Selena’s pulse raced as his other hand moved to her waist, his fingers grazing the fabric of her dress. She felt trapped, but not entirely unwilling. There was something about the way he looked at her, the way he touched her, that made her feel both terrified and exhilarated.

“You’re nervous,” his tone was almost teasing. She stubbornly shook her head and he chuckled. “But I can feel it.”

Her cheeks flushed, and she tried to push him away, but he didn’t budge. Instead, he leaned in closer, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, “Do you know how alluring you look when you’re like this? So unsure, so…vulnerable. Solely at my mercy.”

“Julian, please,” she nervously tried to push this strange man away.

“Please what?” he asked, pulling back just enough to look into her eyes. His gaze was scorching, filled with a dangerous mixture of desire and control. “Tell me. What is it you’re begging for?”

Her lips parted, but no words came out. She couldn’t think, couldn’t breathe, under the weight of his stare.

He chuckled softly again, the sound low and rich. “You don’t know, do you? Poor little princess.”

His hand moved from her waist to the small of her back, pulling her even closer. She gasped at the intimacy of the gesture, her hands instinctively resting against his chest. She could feel the steady thrum of his heartbeat beneath her palms, and it only made her more aware of how close they were.

“Relax,” he murmured, his lips dangerously close to hers. “I won’t hurt you…unless you want me to.”

Her eyes widened at his words, and he laughed—a deep, wicked sound that sent shivers down her spine.

“Don’t look so shocked,” he said, his voice dripping with amusement. “You should know by now that I always get what I want.”

“Then why don't you just tell me what you want from me? What's the real motive of you marrying me? What do you-”

His eyes darkened and he leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in the faintest of touches.

“You,” he said simply. “Every part of you.”

Her breath caught as he closed the distance between them, his lips capturing hers in a kiss that was both possessive and demanding. She felt the world tilt on its axis as his hands roamed her back, his touch setting her skin ablaze even through the fabric of her dress.

When he finally pulled back, she was breathless, her cheeks flushed and her heart pounding.

She looked up at him, her eyes filled with a mixture of fear and something else—something she wasn’t ready to name.

“Get some rest,” he said, his tone softer now. “We have a long road ahead of us. You need to be prepared.”

And with that, he released her and walked toward the door, leaving her standing there, her heart still racing and her mind a mess.

Selena stood in the center of the room, her chest rising and falling rapidly as she watched Julian leave. The door clicked shut behind him, and the echo seemed louder than it should have been, reverberating in the silence of the grand bedroom.

She blinked, her mind racing. What just happened? She half-expected him to return, to continue whatever game he was playing, but the door remained closed.

Her knees felt weak, and she sank onto the edge of the bed, her hands trembling as she gripped the edge of the mattress.

“What the hell was that?” she whispered to herself.

The memory of his touch lingered, the heat of his hands on her waist, the way his lips had brushed hers with maddening confidence. She shivered, the sensation both unwanted and too vivid to ignore.

“No!” she said aloud, shaking her head as if to clear it. “Don’t think about it, Selena. Don’t let him get into your head.”

But it was easier said than done. Julian’s dark eyes, the way they seemed to pierce through her, the smirk that played on his lips as if he were privy to her every thought—it was all too much.

“He’s freaking insane,” she muttered, falling back onto the bed. She stared up at the ceiling, her hands clutching the fabric of her dress as she tried to steady her breathing. “A sick, twisted man.”

Yet, no matter how much she told herself that, her mind kept replaying the moment when he had pulled her close, his touch sending shivers down her spine. Her fingers unconsciously brushed her jaw, remembering how his thumb had traced it.

She bolted upright, horrified at her own thoughts. “No! He’s the villain here. He’s ruining my life, my family’s life.”

Her thoughts shifted to her father, and a pang of worry pierced her chest. Tomorrow, she needed to find out if he was okay, if Julian had truly kept his word.

She exhaled sharply, leaning forward and burying her face in her hands.

“The first thing I’ll do is go back to Dad and see if everything is really fine.”

She bit her lip as Julian’s unpredictability terrified her. She didn’t trust him, not one bit.

“Urghh! This man is crazy!”

Julian stormed into his study, slamming the door shut behind him. His chest heaved with labored breaths as he ripped off his tie, tossing it carelessly onto the floor. His jaw clenched tightly, and his usually composed demeanor was nowhere to be found. “Damn it!” he growled, his voice echoing in the quiet room. He raked his hand through his disheveled hair, his fingers trembling slightly. The memory of her—of Selena, standing in front of him, vulnerable, nervous, and undeniably beautiful—was seared into his mind. He slammed his fist onto the desk, the sound reverberating through the room. “What the hell is wrong with me?” Julian leaned forward, gripping the back of his chair so tightly his knuckles turned white. His dark eyes closed, but instead of finding peace, they conjured her image with maddening clarity. Her scent lingered on him—soft, sweet, and utterly intoxicating. He sucked in a sharp breath, his nostrils flaring as if her presence was still surrounding him. His gr

Julian was reviewing documents in his office, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the polished wood of his desk. The silence was interrupted by the buzzing of his phone. He picked it up, his brow furrowing when he saw the call was from one of the guards stationed at the gate. “What is it?” Julian asked, his voice sharp. “Sir,” the guard began hesitantly, “you’re not going to believe this… but Mrs. Mathersis actually climbing the gate.” Julian froze, his eyes narrowing. “What did you just say?” “We tried to stop her, sir, but she’s not listening to us. We even sent you a photo.” Julian quickly opened the attached image. Sure enough, there was Selena, mid-climb, her dress bunched up awkwardly, her expression a mixture of defiance and determination. He stared at the photo for a long moment, disbelief mingling with something dangerously close to amusement. His assistant, standing nearby, glanced at the phone and barely suppressed a laugh. “She’s persistent, I’ll give her

Selena sighed in relief the moment Julian disappeared down the hallway. She had expected him to flip out about her climbing the gate or make some harsh remark that would cut through her like a blade, but instead, he had been almost… calm. Calm in a way that made her skin crawl with unease. She bit her lip as her father’s words echoed in her mind: You’ll be forgotten. Your career will end. The thought of losing everything she had worked so hard for made her chest tighten. “Should I talk to him?” she whispered to herself, glancing toward the direction he’d gone. “Would he even listen?” Before she could overthink it, her feet moved on their own, following him down the hallway. She hesitated at his door, taking a deep breath before pushing it open slightly. Her heart skipped a beat. Julian stood in the middle of the room, his back to her, unbuttoning his shirt. The fabric slid down his shoulders, revealing taut muscles and smooth skin. Selena’s face heated as she froze, unable t

  • Tied To The Heartless Billionaire   An actress being a secretary?

The morning at Grant Enterprises was as usual—sharp-dressed employees buzzing around with files, coffee mugs in hand, and nerves on edge. Julian Mather’s reputation preceded him, and the entire company thrived on his precision and ruthless drive for success. Every employee knew Julian demanded perfection. Even a single mistake could result in a devastating reprimand or, worse, immediate termination. A group of his senior staff, including department heads and his temporary assistant, gathered in the grand conference hall. They were rehearsing their reports for the day. “Everything must be perfect,” one of the department heads, Martin, murmured as he flipped through his notes. “Mr. Mather won’t tolerate stuttering or incomplete answers.” “Do we even know who the new secretary is?” whispered Clara, the head of marketing. “No idea,” Martin replied, adjusting his tie nervously. “But whoever it is must be extraordinary if Mr. Mather chose them personally.” Clara scoffed softly. “

Selena wasn’t sure what to expect when Clara, the head of marketing, knocked on her office door. The older woman’s polished demeanor and professional smile screamed efficiency, but there was an unmistakable curiosity in her eyes that put Selena on edge. “Good morning, Selena,” Clara greeted warmly. “Mr. Mather asked me to help you get acquainted with his schedule and responsibilities. Shall we?” Selena nodded, standing reluctantly. “Sure, please lead the way.” As they walked through the office, Clara began her spiel, her voice carrying a mix of admiration and trepidation when she spoke about Julian. “Mr. Mather is… well, as you’ve probably guessed, he’s not your average CEO. His schedule is—how should I put this?—exhaustively detailed. He’s a man of precision, and that reflects in every aspect of his day.” Selena raised an eyebrow. “How precise are we talking here?” Clara smirked knowingly. “Let me give you an example.” Clara pulled a sleek tablet from her handbag and sw

Selena sat in her room, flipping through the pages of her new leather-bound diary, scribbling every detail Clara had shared.Julian’s absurdly regimented schedule filled pages, annotated with her thoughts and questions. Her fingers gripped the pen tightly as she underlined “10:00 a.m. – Black tea.”The devil expects perfection, huh? Well, I’ll give it to him, she thought, her brows furrowing. She might not be able to control much in her life right now, but she wasn’t about to let Julian Mather call her incompetent. She went to the kitchen, meticulously preparing his black tea, ensuring the temperature was just right and the presentation flawless. The rich aroma of the brew filled the air as she carefully placed the teacup on a tray. Satisfied, she carried it to his office. Without knocking, Selena pushed open the heavy oak door, stepping into the room. Her confident stride faltered when she saw Julian wasn’t alone. Julian leaned against the cool glass of his office window, his hands buried in his pockets. Why had it bothered him so much? He had planned this. Selena’s humiliation, her struggles—it was all part of his carefully laid revenge. She was supposed to endure this, to feel the same helplessness he had felt when his mother died.So why did the thought of Hargrove’s gaze lingering on her make his blood boil? Would he have cared if it were any other employee? No, of course not. Any other employee wouldn’t have even entered his mind after such an incident. But her.He shook his head violently. Selena was settling into her desk, trying to get a handle on her new environment, when the first visitor arrived—a young man from the IT department. “Miss Frost,” he stammered, his face turning a shade of pink as he adjusted his glasses. “I just wanted to say I’m a huge fan of your movies. Especially *Starry Nights.* It’s, uh, a masterpiece.” Selena forced a polite smile. “Thank you. That’s kind of you to say.” Before she could say anything else, another man showed up. “Hey, Selena,” said a tall guy with a confident grin. “I mean, Miss Frost. I work in marketing, and I was just wondering if you’d sign this for my sister. She’s a big fan.” He handed her a glossy photo of her from one of her movies, and Selena raised an eyebrow. “Where did you even get this?” “Oh, uh,” he scratched his neck awkwardly, “the internet?” Selena sighed but signed it anyway. Selena stiffened the moment she heard Grayson's name. Her fingers curled into fists at her sides, her breath catching in her throat. The memories of that day came crashing in her and she shuddered. Her lips parted, but the words felt heavy, suffocating. She wanted to tell Julian exactly why she would rather rot than take this role—but she couldn't. Instead, she forced herself to stand tall, masking the turmoil swirling inside her. "I’m not interested," she said coldly. Julian's brows furrowed, his jaw tightening. "Not interested?" he echoed, disbelief lacing his tone. "You were desperate for an opportunity, and now you're just—rejecting it?" Selena swallowed hard, gripping her arms to steady herself. "I don’t need your help anymore," she glared at him. "So?" he drawled, his deep voice laced with amusement. "This is what you wanted?" Selena stood in front of him, arms crossed, her expression hard as stone. There was no amusement in her face—just cold fury. "What I want

After the meeting, Julian returned to his office with lots of thoughts in his mind. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. Grayson had agreed too easily and quickly. It wasn’t like him to be so...cooperative.He sat down at his desk, his thoughts drifting back to Selena. Why had he even mentioned her? His chest aches at the memory of their argument and how she was on the verge of crying and he rubbed his temples, trying to push the thoughts away. He didn’t owe her anything. He didn’t even 'like' her. So why was he helping her?"Damn it," he muttered under his breath, leaning back in his chair. He didn’t understand why he cared. But the truth was, he couldn’t stop thinking about her. About the way she had looked at him, the way she had fought back even when she had nothing left.He sighed, running a hand through his hair. He would talk to her about the movie. Not because he wanted to help her, but because he had made a promise. And Julian Mathers always kept his promis

This was her chance. Her 'only' chance. She couldn’t afford to mess this up.The director, a man in his late fifties with a receding hairline and a smug smile, was already seated at a corner table. Julian ran a frustrated hand through his hair, his jaw clenching as he watched Selena storm away. What the hell was he doing? He let out a low groan, leaning back against his desk. His fingers curled into fists as a memory flashed through his mind—one that he hadn’t allowed himself to think about in years. Selena. Standing on a bright stage, cameras flashing, her signature dazzling smile lighting up the entire room. She had just been named the youngest top model of the year. Julian had been there too—not as an honored guest, not as one of the powerful figures shaking hands with her—but as a mere assistant to the photographer covering the event. Back then, he was just another nameless face in the crowd, watching her from behind the lens. She had been untouchable. A goddess in human form. And he? He was nothing. Just a man with a borrowed camera, standing in the shadows, admiring her from a distance. How ironic was it that now, she stood right in front of him—no longer

The words hit her like a punch to the gut. Her heart stopped. Her stomach twisted. Did she hear him right? Her lips parted, but no words came out. He was…he was joking, right? But no—his eyes told her he wasn’t. Pure amusement danced in his expression, like he was watching a little bird trapped in a cage. Selena’s hands trembled. She didn’t know whether it was anger, shock, or something far more dangerous twisting inside her. She couldn’t even breathe properly. “W-What the hell?” she finally whispered. Julian tilted his head to have a better look of her nervous eyes. “What? I thought we were making deals, Selena.” Her body stiffened. She searched his face, desperate to find some sign that he was just trying to mess with her. But there was nothing. Only cold amusement. This was what he thought of her, wasn’t it? That she was just another actress willing to do 'anything' for fame. Julian watched her, soaking in every single reaction. It was fascinating, real

He hadn't seen it in a while, but the memory of the last call burned in his mind. The call that changed everything. Slowly, he reached for the phone, his fingers curling around it like a loaded gun. A strange feeling settled in his stomach—a mixture of anticipation and dread. He exhaled sharply before pressing the answer button. “Julian Mathers,” he said, keeping his voice steady. A low chuckle greeted him on the other end. “It’s nice to speak to you again, Julian.” That voice. Smooth, almost robotic, yet dripping with something sinister. His grip on the phone tightened. “Who are you?” The chuckle deepened. “Just someone who wants the best for you.” Julian’s jaw clenched. “Cut the crap.
