A possessive kiss

She blinked, slightly confused but nodded. As the door clicked shut behind them, she was suddenly very aware of the space between them. Julian stood just a little too close, his posture tense, his eyes searching hers. There was something different in his stare, something that wasn’t just anger or disappointment.

Something more personal.

“You’ve been awfully distracted today,” he said, his voice tight with an emotion Selena couldn’t quite place. “Were you paying attention during that meeting at all?”

Selena opened her mouth to reply, but he cut her off, his gaze flitting to the door where the producer had just exited.

“You were practically glued to him,” Julian said, his words sharp, tinged with something unspoken. “Is he your type? The young, handsome, confident type?”

Her eyes widened in surprise. She tried to shake her head, to deny it, but Julian didn’t let her. He stepped closer, his breath warm against her skin, and for the first time, she felt a hint of vulnerability from him. He didn’t want to admit it, but his jealousy was impossible to mask.

He couldn’t understand why it bothered him so much. Why the thought of Selena looking at someone else, especially the producer, made his heart race in a way he didn’t want to acknowledge.

“I wasn’t… I wasn’t looking at him like that,” Selena said, but even as she said it, she knew her words wouldn’t be enough to convince him.

His gaze softened for a brief second, before it hardened again. He leaned forward slightly, just enough to make her breath hitch. She could feel the heat radiating off him, his presence overwhelming.

“You know,” Julian murmured, his lips just a fraction of an inch away from hers. “I don’t like it when other men look at what’s mine.”

Her pulse quickened, and for a moment, she couldn’t breathe. Was he really saying what she thought he was saying?

“I—what are you talking about?” Selena stammered, but Julian’s expression didn’t change. He was already too far gone.

His fingers moved, almost on their own accord, reaching up to cup her face. His touch was gentle at first, his thumb brushing lightly over her cheek, but the softness didn’t last. He tilted her head slightly, his fingers tightening.

“You’re mine,” he said, his voice low and controlled. “And you’ll learn to remember that.”

Before she could react, Julian leaned in quickly and pressed his lips against hers. His kiss was unexpected, catching her off guard, but she couldn't deny the electricity that sparked between them. His lips were demanding, forceful, as if he needed to possess her.

“Angh!” She gasped in shock, unable to break free from his grasp as his hands held her firmly in place. His kiss was rougher than she had anticipated - a primal hunger driving him to devour her entirely, as if he had something to prove to her, to himself. Her heart raced and her body trembled under his touch, every nerve ending alive and on fire from the intensity of their connection.

In this moment, there was no denying the chemistry between them, no escaping the pull towards one another.

She tried to push him away, her hands pressing against the hard planes of his chest, but he was unyielding. Their lips met in a fierce, passionate kiss, their bodies pressed tightly together, until she was forced to step back and her legs hit the edge of the table. She gasped for air as his mouth continued to ravish hers, leaving her breathless and dizzy with desire.

His kiss was possessive, as if he owned every inch of her and needed to claim her as his own. It sent shivers down her spine and ignited a fire within her that she couldn't deny. As they stood locked in this embrace, time seemed to stand still and all that existed was the heat between their bodies and the intensity of their connection.

With one final, desperate gasp, he pulled away from her, his forehead resting heavily against hers. The air around them was thick and heavy with unspoken tension, both of them struggling to catch their breath.

“Don’t ever look at him like that again,” Julian growled, his voice low and rough. His hands clenched tightly into fists at his sides, his body vibrating with barely contained anger.

Selena's heart was still pounding in her chest, her mind reeling as she tried to process the intensity of the kiss they had just shared. She could still feel the heat of his lips on hers and the tingling sensation that lingered on her skin.

Pushing him away, Selena's face flushed with a mixture of emotions - anger, embarrassment, and something else she didn't want to admit. She hissed through gritted teeth, trying to regain control of the situation.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? How dare you kiss me?”

Julian didn't back down. Instead, he drew closer and held her chin firmly between his fingers, his intense gaze never leaving hers. His touch was possessive and it made Selena's heart race with a mixture of anger and something else she couldn't quite identify.

"I'm just reminding you who you belong to," he said, his voice low and confident.

She pulled away from his grasp, her own voice shaking but determined. "I don't belong to anyone."

Julian chuckled, the sound sending shivers down her spine. "You might not think so now, but you will."

His words were like a promise or a threat, and Selena wasn't sure which one scared her more. She tried to push away the feelings stirring inside her, but they only grew stronger as Julian's confidence radiated from him.

"Don't ever do that again," she warned, trying to regain control over the situation. But her voice lacked the force she intended, betraying the small seed of doubt that had been planted in her mind.

Julian's lips curled into a smirk, his grip on her jaw tightening once more. She could feel the pressure of his fingers against her skin, almost bruising. The intensity in his gaze made her heart race and her breath come in short gasps. She tried to push him away, but he held on firmly, refusing to release her.

"I'm not the one who needs to learn boundaries here," he taunted.

Fury and frustration boiled inside her, and she shoved his hand away with all her strength. Her chest rose and fell rapidly as she took a step back from him.

She turned to leave. But before she could take another step, Julian's voice stopped her in her tracks.

"Selena."

She froze, her body tensing at the sound of her name on his lips. Slowly, she turned back to face him. His intense gaze bore into hers, his smirk replaced by a serious expression that unnerved her even more.

"Don't forget," he said, his voice low and almost threatening. "What I told you.”

She couldn't find the words to respond.

Without another word, she turned and left, the heat of their kiss still lingering on her lips and the weight of Julian's words heavy on her mind.

---

As she walked out of the office, the weight of what had just happened sank in. What was he playing at? What did he want from her?

Her thoughts were interrupted when she ran into Clara, who raised an eyebrow at her. “Everything okay?”

Selena forced a smile, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Yeah, fine,” she said, though she wasn’t sure if she was lying to Clara, or to herself.

Clara eyed her for a moment but didn’t press the issue. Instead, she patted her on the back. “Well, if you need to vent, you know where to find me.”

But Selena wasn’t sure venting would make a difference. Because deep down, she knew this wasn’t just about Julian’s jealousy. There was something else happening between them—something she wasn’t ready to face.

Selena left the garden, her thoughts spiraling. Cassandra’s nonchalant attitude had shaken her. She couldn’t understand how someone could take such risks. The industry was notorious for its strict policies about dating and fraternizing with colleagues. Companies often imposed morality clauses, especially on actresses, to maintain their "wholesome" image. Even during Selena's heyday as an A-list star, she had been barred from dating. Publicly, she was supposed to seem available, approachable—an unattainable dream for her fans. Any romantic rumors could tarnish her career in an instant. And here Cassandra was, brazenly ignoring all those unspoken rules. Selena sighed, shaking her head. "She’s playing with fire," she muttered to herself, heading toward the canteen for lunch. The company canteen was buzzing with chatter, employees laughing and gossiping in their cliques. Selena grabbed a tray and loaded it with a simple meal. Julian, on the other hand, was unusually silent, his mind still replaying the odd mix of arguments, scolding, and the awkward pharmacy detour.
