Chapter 76: I Promise

“What did you do to her?” I ask William as he stands on the other end of his desk staring at me silently and I cross my arms over my chest.

“What was that?” I asked a bit louder this time and he shrugged.

“I don’t know” he whispered and I made a sorrowful look as I stared at him.

“My mother just had a mental breakdown” I said pointing towards the ground, my tongue crossing over my teeth “and all I get is an I don’t know” I exclaimed a little loudly with tears in my eyes.

“Is she going to be okay?” I ask and he slowly nods his head yes and I let out a small sigh before looking off and swallowing.
