Rameric's POV:

This could not have come at a worse time.  The slaves all knew they were sold into slavery to a fierce werewolf pack, which meant certain doom, or they were soon to find out what they were up against in the odds against their new rulers.  The fact they all found out in this particular manner, was just a faster way of finding out that their bad dreams at night and horror stories they told their children to keep them in line, are not just dreams and talk but an actual reality.  Humans knew of our existence, however for them to see one shift in front of their eyes is not an everyday occurrence.  I stood up, shifting back as I now stood there, hovering over the two of them, naked.  At that moment, my personal Warriors rushed upon the pen and surrounded us completely.  In a way, there was an inner circle keeping a distance from the slaves in the small pen.

“Take him away!” Galien commanded, walking up to us and through the ring of Warriors while handing me a shawl to shroud my naked view from others.

I turned my attention back to my unexpected and newly found mate, coughing violently from her apparent attack.  I knelt down beside her, paying close attention to her as she lay there on the ground.  She was barely coming around as she tried to roll away from me onto her side.  I had no doubt she was not aware of the fact I was now only inches from her.  Even if she was aware of my presence, she would not know who I was anyway.  It was evident she was still trying to recover from almost losing her now conscience state of things.

Against my better judgment, I reached forward, starting to gently place one arm behind her back, while I slowly placed the other arm behind her knees.  I stopped and held my position for a moment as I thought about what was about to happen.  I was not sure what was going to happen when my skin came in contact with hers.  I thought about the clothes being a simple barrier to keep the initial Mate Contact separate, but the clothing she was clothed in was so thin and in poor condition, that I was surprised it even kept her skin underneath hidden.  I decided to move forward with my plan and quickly, yet cautiously pick her up off the ground.  Now, what was I going to do with her in my arms?

As I looked at her face, her eyes were closed as she was still recovering.  As I turned to take my first step, she rolled to the side, placing her head firmly on my chest right next to my swift racing heart.  I radiated heat and I could feel her cold and clammy skin, even through her thin clothing.  There is no telling the last time she actually had a proper bath, as she smells worse than a wet dog.  There was a lot I would have to look into, the first being, as to why this weak and insignificant human happened to be my fated Mate.

I continued to walk out of the pen with her in my arms.  I did not stop walking till I was at my carriage.  The door was opened up for me and I stepped in, still delicately holding her in my arms as I took a seat in the center of the bench that faced forward.  I usually sat on the side so I could look out as we traveled.  However, this time, with her legs hanging over, I did not want to harm her more than her ordeal.  I was still furious about the fact that she was my mate, but I figured there was more to it.

If she, in the face of great adversity, would risk everything to save someone else in the same position, with nothing to gain from it, that meant she had a fighting spirit.  I would see where this goes, even if for now, unless I find out there are castings at work, then I would get a chance to deal with the other parties involved.  When we finally managed to reach my castle, the door was opened up for me and Galien was there as well.

"Have the menials draw a bath for me," I said as I ascended the steps to the castle.

"As you command, My Alpha Caine," Galien said as we reached the main doors of my castle.

I walked inside and off in the direction of my personal chambers while Galien went off in a different direction, no doubt to have the menials do as I had commanded.  I did not want to bother dealing with anything else, except for that which I was carrying at that moment.  When I finally reached my chamber doors, they were opened by the Warrior guards standing post and I went in with no words being said.  She was still lying in my arms without moving and with her eyes still closed.  Was she sleeping or did she just pass out due to the overwhelming stress she had ensured in such a short amount of time?  Did she even know what was happening to her right now?  I continued walking over to the side of my padded slumber, lying her down on the soft material.  I took a step back as I contemplated what had happened.

I turned to leave the room when I heard a noise coming from behind me, which caused me to immediately spin on my heels.  When I turned to look back at her, she was no longer lying there but sat up and was now staring back at me.  There was not a great distance between us, but the pull in my chest was very evident as she was my intended mate.  I still could not believe this as fact, even though it was literally staring me in the face.  Before I had a chance to say a word to her, I heard a knock at my door.  I could not help the growl that overcame me, as I growled loudly as to the disturbance at that very moment.  She whimpered, cowering on the bed, wrapping her arms around her legs, as I turned to rush toward the door, to yell at the cause of this disturbance.

"What is the meaning of this?" I shouted as I opened the door.

"Your bath is ready," said the frightened menial.

Rameric's POV:I am not sure why she is bothering to try and pull away from me at this point as I have her held firm on my own shoulder and well within my grasp. She is nothing but a weak and frail human for that fact, one who I view is incapable of doing much of anything all on her very own. Does she not understand her strength is inferior to that of my own superior strength? I could simply snap her arm like a small twig from a large branch and it would break and stay broken for months without prevention. However, if my arm were to break in such a similar manner, it would reset itself and be completely healed within a matter of a few hours, at the very most that is. For her, she would be injured and out of commission for many months when it would be less than a day for me. I carried her out of my chambers, walking in the direction of my bathing chambers. I was going to ensure she had been bathed properly and got sufficiently clean, well, a whole lot cleaner than she smelled a

Rameric's POV:If all the desires of my wildest of dreams, this reality, the one I was currently taking part in, was the last thing I honestly thought would have even been possible. Here I am, standing here, in the water of my personal bathing basin, with my mate hovering in the water just below. This is not how I thought this day would have gone at all. Then, as I looked around the room trying to revel in the moment I found myself, I remembered the fact that my newly found and intended mate had come to me. She was sold off, by a wage greedy, selfish righteous, pathetic human. One who I would consider to be more weak and insignificant than the slave she has found herself to be. First, I was not proud to find myself in the slave trade, but it, among other things has gotten me into the position I find myself today. I continued to just stand there, looking at her, as she was starting to slowly move back away from me till her back touched the opposite side of the basin in front of

Chapter 9: Must Get Away!Alasia's POV:I have to say this was the worst day I have ever thought possible in my now miserable existence of a life so far. Is this some of the horrendous treatment that a slave has to endure?! When I think about it, I have had bad sleep dreams and recall those when I wake in the morning, but this current one surpasses all of those. I am now stuck in a literal, living sleep dream, although the worst part about this so far is, I am not sleeping at all. In fact, I am completely awake and watching this happen before my very own eyes. Why is this happening to me?! First I don't get to say goodbye to my little brother, only to stand up for someone younger than I am and almost lose my life over it. Then, not long after that experience, I woke up in a strange room with stone walls, not far from a man. To add to it, this man growls and sounds like a large dog, but looks like any normal human, only, he is not the size of a normal human. I simply must get

Chapter 10: This Strange FeelingAlasia's POV:As I continued to sit there on his leg, I was starting to feel this strange feeling from deep within my chest. I was not exactly sure why I was feeling this, but there was no way I could deny that something was there. I was having a very hard time trying to explain all of this to myself. I never heard of humans having these kinds of feelings when they were around someone else they were attracted to before either. I knew some people would have likes and dislikes about certain attitudes and actions of others, but to have this kind of draw to someone else was unlike anything I ever knew possible. Was this a normal thing for a human to experience? My mother never mentioned anything about it, and I was certainly not going to get this kind of advice from my stepfather either. It was strange as if I was starting to want to be near to this man. What was coming over me?! I barely even knew him, yet, in a way, I felt I did know him and wa

Chapter 11: Accomplish Next TaskRameric's POV:I have been around the body of a woman before, so this was not all that new to me. I was not fearful of how to move around the body of a woman. The part that I was unsure about, was the fact that her being my intended mate, I could feel the Mate Attraction in my very skin, which was starting to originate from deep down in my chest. When I washed her, or even when I held her directly above me earlier, I was not sure if she moved against my member, if I would be able to calm or even stop myself, if it came to it. I remained in that position for a moment, as I had one hand right above her rump and the other hand, I held right above the most delicate place I would consider on a woman. I did not know what would happen if I got closer. When I assisted her in washing her backside, that was not all that difficult of a task. I just did not know what would happen when it came to washing the opposite side of her. When she looked at me earl

Chapter 12: Clothing Not OptionalRameric's POV:She looked at me, deep into my eyes as if she was not sure what to do with herself. I made sure to still have a firm grip on her waist, as to this point, I was not sure if she even had the strength to hold herself up out of the water. I sat her down completely, however at this point, her legs were buckled up underneath her as she did not seem to have her own strength to be able to move them out of the way. I wanted to be able to allow her to sit down completely in the water, even though she did not move other than having her hands firmly placed on my wrists. Instead of trying to place her in front of me, I thought it better if I placed her back in my lap this time. This would also allow for me to assist her out of the water basin as well as make sure we got out together. Instead of me stepping out, leaving her still in the water with a lack of her own ability to be able to hold herself up all on her own. When I placed her back i

Chapter 13: Clothing Not OptionalRameric's POV:I looked down on the floor at the shawl I was wearing before bathing, knowing it was nowhere big enough to cover the both of us. It was not all that uncommon to see a naked werewolf wandering around after shifting back, however, I was not going to let anyone else see her in this naked state. Clothing was not optional for her, as much as it may have been for me. Also as I looked around, there was no place I felt comfortable to lie her down either, so, I walked over to the door and spoke up to the Warrior guards on the opposite side. "Send for Galien at once," I stated in a louder and commanding tone, trying to make sure they could hear me from their side of the door. "As you command, Alpha Caine," I heard in response from the Warrior guards, acknowledging they heard me from outside the bathing chambers. I did not have to wait all that long for Galien to arrive and knock on the door. I stepped behind the door as it was cracked o

Vladic Regime's POV:When we walked over to the table, I ensured Sir Lavion had her take a seat where her position would be with her back facing Brookli's position. The last thing I wanted was for her to see my daughter before it was the proper time to do so. Until it was absolutely necessary, that is. Once she took her seat and was seemingly comfortable, despite her nervous posture, I took my seat on the opposite side of the table. I then turned my attention to one of the maidservants standing there just inside the doorway of the room they had entered from. They had not been dismissed, so they knew not to leave my presence unless they were told to do so. "You there," I spoke using a tone that I only used when calling the servants. Once I gained all of their attention, I looked back at the young lady and said, "Go and grab her a glass of water." She even turned around to look at all three women to see which one of them would be brave enough to move. When she looked back at

Vladic Regime's POV:I walked into the little cottage and took a quick look around. I was extremely displeased with the fact that not only was she not in sight. She was nowhere to be seen. From my understanding, she was supposed to be waiting here for us. Or, so that is what I understood. When the front door was closed once again, I turned around and looked at Sir Lavion."Where is she?" I questioned him, trying to keep my tone at a lower volume. The last thing that I wanted was to frighten her more with my powerful aura as I was trying to inquire as to her position if she was there somewhere."I understand your frustration, sire. Rest assured, she is in that room over there," Sir Lavion mentioned."What is she doing in the other room?" I asked, turning back to face him once more and furrowing my brows at him."Well Sire, she was injured and quite dirty upon her arrival," he started to say as he walked around me to stand over by the door she was behind. "Even the clothing she

Vladic Regime's POV:I paced back and forth in my office, occasionally, looking out the window. I had wondered how long it was going to take before Balmerian got back to me, letting me know that his work was completed, and we could move forward with my plans. I looked forward to finally ridding myself of a long awaited enemy. However, I would have to wait until the proper time to do it. The question is how exactly would that task be accomplished? I was so lost and thought to the point that I did not hear when someone knocked at my office door. When I had yet to respond, the door suddenly opened slightly, allowing Emeric to poke his head inside, trying to see where I was. As he watched me, he saw that I was still focused and had yet to notice his presence.Just then he cleared his throat as he said, "Sire?"At that moment, I turned around to face him as I was now hovering above the floor before I said gruffly, "What?! Alasia's POV:This little cottage was even cuter on the inside. I have to say, from the outside, you would not expect it to look like this on the inside. Whoever did their carpentry work did an immaculate job on it. They definitely had some skills if they managed to do all of this. If I compared the little hut I used to live in with this one, this one would be a complete castle compared to the nature of that little hut. This little cottage even had nicely made wooden floors too. It was very well done and very well tended."Good afternoon, Sir Lavion," said a young woman who opened up the door when he got close enough. "It is a pleasure seeing you again. What brings you ..." "Fetch hot water," said the man as he walked in the door. He even made sure to take extra care in turning me to the side, making sure I would not hit the posts of the door. "I had already sent for Balmerian. He should be here before too long.""Very good, sir," she said as she closed the door again. "I

Alasia's POV:I'm just not sure what to say at this point. Why is everything happening to me? First of all, why did that lady do what she did? And why did the horse bring me here? However, should I stop this man from trying to help calm it down? It did seem to get out of control, and I was to the point where I didn't know what to do. I sat there on the seat holding on to the reins as this man came up and placed his hands on either shoulder of the horse, helping to soothe its temper."Here now, easy boy," the man said, rubbing his hand gently along the horse's neck. I still held the reins very tightly as I was in complete shock at what just happened. My arms and legs felt like they were on fire with the sensation of being thrown onto the rocks on the side of the path. When the man had finished with the horse, he grabbed hold of the reins from the side and walked up to me. "Here, let me help you with that," he said gently while using a reassuring tone. Rameric's POV:"Take them away," an older man said loudly enough as he walked to the edge of the crowd, coming into view. Everyone stopped talking when they heard him speak. He seemed as if he could be the oldest man in this village. When he got close enough, he looked directly at me as he said, "You sir, I do know you. I may not like what you do, but I understand there has to be business, or else there will be chaos. There has been enough bloodshed here in our little village. We have enough to tend to after the fires are extinguished. All thanks to the likes of those who take from others that they view as less fortunate than themselves. We do not wish to deal with the remaining few all on our own. Take the remaining invaders away. I only ask one thing of you and those of the company you may keep. Ensure that they never come back here."At the conclusion of his words, Raiven walked over to the old man and placed a hand on his shoulder as he said, "It shall be done

Rameric's POV: "The good people of Sorghum!" I projected my voice as I walked over to the village square. I was trying to gain the attention of the villagers as they were yelling at the invaders. They chanted at the men being held in the center of their village encircled by wolves. "Hear me!" I exclaimed. Finally, after a moment, it was quiet enough for me to continue. "As many of you may know me. You also may not agree with the business I conduct myself, but you do know me. You know that I run the business of the slave trade in these lands. However, these men here," I said as I pointed to all of them encircled. "They do not come with the appreciation of civil exchange. They also choose to be reckless over the civil barter system. They choose torment over talking peacefully. Today this all ends!"At that moment, I turned around to look at them, the men still hovering on their knees. Some were holding onto their injured limbs with the ones less injured if th

Rameric's POV:We went around the opposite side of the building, not having to worry about being seen, as most of the villagers were already in the central part of the village. They were trying to put out some of the fires these invaders started. At least there were not a lot of children in this particular village. It was run by older, more experienced farmers. Rager made sure to keep the young woman close, as he would nudge her with his nose periodically to keep her moving along the path we were headed. She was sobbing lightly as we went along. I was pleased that she was not too loud with her sobs as the last thing I wanted was to draw any more unnecessary attention as to our presence. When we got to where we could see what was going on in the central part of the village, I noticed that there were only two more guards standing there next to the caged wagon. One was standing on the ground by the back, and the other one was still sitting on the front seat, waiting

Rameric's POV:This was not the first time Rager and I had set up an ambush for an enemy that was about to lose their lives. The one thing that I knew he really enjoyed was being able to sever the head from the rest of the body. He was so clean about it too. As they would walk by, he could just pluck their head right off their shoulders. They would fall silent in the pile right where they were standing at the time. Rager would chomp on the head a couple of times before spitting it out too."All right now," I said as I pointed in a particular direction. "I want you to go over there and do as I told you. However, if you do not do as you are told, then you know the consequences of what your actions will bring."With that last statement, I used my Alpha tone, but I spoke softly enough that only she could hear me, while the rest of the men around the corner would not be aware of our position. I watched as she did what she was told, walking over to the end of the build
