Chapter Nine.

Dexter's Pov.

I don't know what made me to say I was going to follow her outside, am I crazy? To be honest to find another P.A that is as hardworking as her is really rare. This is the first time I will be seeing her dressing like that anyways.

"Do you mean it? Why do you want to follow us?" My mom asked as I just rolled my eyes.

I'm very sure my mom must be surprised by what I just said, I hope she doesn't think about another thing.

"I'm coming I will go and change." I told them so as to wait for me. 

"Your face looks swollen and you look tired, what is wrong dear?" I heard my mother asking Melanie as I walked up the stairs, I hope she doesn't tell my mom that she slept in my room.

I was driving already, my mom insisted she was going to sit at the backseat while Melanie should sit with me at the front, it was not really a long journey and it didn't take long before we reached the boutique.

It was a unisex boutique filled with different kind of designers, and it is mostly filled with very high class citizens. The things here are really expensive.

We already reached the boutique as I walked at my mom and Melanie back.

We got to a place filled with clothes, it was so nice. Melanie seems familiar with this place, she has been following my mom to this place for a very long time...

The attendants there led us to a place that no customer were there, it was just us and some of the attendants.

"Good day ma'am. We have the latest set of designers here and they are just like the ones your like." One of the attendants said as she saw my mom.

"Woah, can I have a look at everything?" She asked.

"Sure ma'am." The attendants said.

"I'm coming, you guys can have your sit over there. I will just go and check the dresses." My mom urged us to sit pointing at a couch in the room.

"I will just follow you Eveth." Melanie refused.

"No! You can stay with Dexter, I'm not going to take long." She replied as she followed the attendants into the dressing room. What an irony! 

Is it possible for a lady to go shopping without taking long, especially with that fact that she is my mother! I'm very sure she is going to spend up to one hour or more then.

I walked towards where the couch is as I sat down there with my phone in my hands surfing across the internet. I noticed Melanie wasn't sitting. She just stood up there.

Whatever! Once her legs starts aching her she will come and sit. She walked around as she stared at the clothes in the room. I watched as she really admired them, if she likes it why is she not buying it.

"How much is this!" She asked from one of the attendants in the room.

"That dress cost 20,000 dollar ma'am." The attendants told her as I noticed she sighed.

"Ma I avoid you don't touch the dress to avoid any stains." The attendants said as she quickly removed her hand from the dress.

I scoffed. Is she doing this so that I will be able to buy the dress for her? She should keep on dreaming.

The dress was peach in colour, I don't know how I can describe the dress but it looked so cool.

"I will go use the restroom." She informed me. Why should she inform me? I don't care about where she is going to.

I remembered the company's anniversary is coming soon, there is no way I can avoid celebrating that. My grandpa is going to be around with my mom also and some of my uncles.

I should buy a good dress for myself, maybe later...I want it to be that latest edition of suit by then.

Few Minutes Later.

My mom came from the dressing room with the attendants carrying loads of bag in thier hand, She must be done already. 

She looked around as if something is missing, is she looking for anything?

"How about Melanie?" She asked.

Ohhhh! That's true. 

"She told me that she was going to use the restroom, but she is supposed to be back now. Maybe she saw a guy that kept her company on the way." I suggested the reason why she isn't back yet.

"You think she is that kind of person?" She scoffed.

"Go and look for her, just give me a call immediately you find her." She instructed. I can't believe she's telling me to do this all because of one girl that I don't even know before.

 "Have you called her yet?" I asked her before going.

"Let me try calling her." She said bringing her phone from her purse.

She placed the phone on her ear but there with the expression on her face there was no response. She already looked worried.

"Don't worry not as if she is missing yet, she must be in the mall no matter what." I assured my mom as she just nodded.

"Go and look for her." She said as she left the room. 

I bet she must be talking with a guy, I took the escalator as I looked around but I couldn't find any traces of her.

I went to the restroom, there is no way I will enter a female restroom. 

"Miss, pls can you help me check if lady is there?" I asked the cleaner that was there.

"Okay sir." She said as she went inside.

"Sir, I couldn't find her but I saw a phone on the cabinet." The cleaner said as she gave me the phone that she picked up from the restroom.

I'm very sure that is for Melanie...why will she go to without taking her phone?

"Thank you." I told her as I went back to the main mall.

I called my mom to come downstairs and explained everything to her, I pray she doesn't have high blood pressure.

"Mom, Melanie isn't a kid." I reminded her.

"I know but why would she leave her phone in the restroom, what if she is in danger?" My mom panicked.

That is the only thing that doesn't make sense, if she wants to run away with a man she doesn't have to leave her phone in the rest room, is she that desperate?

"Mom, let's go home...she will find her way back home and she isn't back we will go to the police after 24hrs." I assured her but she doesn't look convinced.

Melanie's Pov.

I felt so uneasy I don't know what was happening to me, maybe it was because of the stress. I excused myself as I went to the restroom. I dropped my phone on the cabinet as rinsed my eyes and my face also.

I looked at myself in the mirror as my eyes were really swollen and dark. Things were getting blurry, if I am going to pass out I can't pass out in a place someone will not see me easily.

I went out of the female restroom as I saw a guy coming out of the male restroom.

"Please help me" I managed to say as I used the wall as support due to the fact that I was really dizzy.

I woke up with a doctor beside me, oh shit! Where am I? I think I am at the hospital

It was then I remembered I felt so weak in the mall and I black out. Gosh! What have I done? I'm sure Eveth will be worried about me by now.

I tried sitting on the bed as the doctor told me not to do so.

"You are weak miss, and you sugar level is also low. You have to rest for two days here before we can release you." The doctor informed as I sighed.

"Also we found a lot of anti depressants drugs in your system which has really affected your health. Is there anybody maltreating you? probably you can see a psychologist." He said.

I think the doctor is already crossing his boundary, yeah I take a lot of antidepressants most of the times.

"Please what about the person who brought me here?" I asked the doctor.

"Oh, I told him you will be needing some fruit and he went to get it for you." The doctor informed.

"How about the bills?" I asked the doctor, shit!!! I can't believe I will lay hospital bills again.

The hospital looked so expensive also, at least if you want to help someone like me you should have taken me to a hospital that isn't as big as this.

"The gentleman already paid everything already." The doctor said as I sighed in relief. I should be grateful to whoever that person is.

Who is this gentleman anyways? 

I looked at myself as I was putting on the hospital dress already, shit! Just because I fainted they had to do all of this.

"Suddenly the door opened and the young gentleman appeared.

He looked so young and handsome, from his dressing you can easily know he is really rich. He smiled on seeing me, I think I am almost drooling.

"You see a face that is cuter than this everyday what is so special?" My subconscious reminded.

That is true anyways, my boss is very handsome but his character is worse, really worst. So imma pick this guy over him.

"You are awake already." He said walking towards me with that cute smile on his face and a little bit dimples.
