Melanie's Point Of View.
Oh Shi!!! I never imagined she was going to mention this here, she's making the matter worse.
I bit my lips in shame as I looked at the jerk who was already staring at me. He didn't say anything as he walked back upstairs.
"Hey I'm talking to you!!! How dare you walk out on me Huh? Or don't tell me you are occupied on Saturdays again." Eveth shouted as he walked back upstairs. He stopped walking as he looked back.
Don't tell me he disobeyed his mother.
"Last room by the left side the the hall way, that is your room." He said and I guess he was referring to me, he went back without even looking back.
"I should look for a good wife for him that will teach him manners." She stated as she looked at me. This woman should realize that I am not interested in her proud son at all.
"I will go to my room now." I excused myself as I bowed my head. I carried the luggage up the stairs as I went to the room he directed me to.
Ahhhhh, life is going to be hell for me now. I have to make a deal with Eveth. If she wants someone that can teach her child manner I'm great at that, as long as I don't get fired.
Dexter is going to suffer, I have to pay him back for all what he has done to me for the past years.
Dexter's Pov.
I was surprised when I saw Melanie this morning, I know my mom planned all of this but she should have told me beforehand.
I can't believe this day was going to come, I never imagined I will get to live with her one day. It is just for 3 months anyways.
I don't have much work to do today, I just need to rest. Wait, has she planned my schedule for next month?
I hope she has done that. I'm hungry already and I can't tell her to go and cook for me. I can't let my pride down that way.
I complained on her early arrival this morning and I can't imagine telling her to go and cook for me. I just have to wait s little bit longer, I can do this.
I went downstairs as I saw my mom still sitting down on the couch, she was alone. Doesn't she have anything to do? Or is she perhaps waiting for me?
She saw me standing on the stairs as she smiled immediately. I'm very sure she must be expecting me to smile back, and I'm not going to do that because I'm not a kid.
"Try to smile once in a while." She told me immediately I walked up to her.
"Son, I don't care if you don't want to go out with me. I need grandchildren that I can play with since my son doesn't have time for me anymore." She murmured.
She's just trying to look pitiful and I know where she's trying to get to. I'm not getting married. I
"I will not say everything since you already know what I want to tell you." She added as she sigh. I really think she is serious with this topic.
"I beg you with everything I have, please be good to Melanie. It's been years already, you are already used to her but please be good to her." She begged as I scoffed.
I'm not wicked, it's just that we don't flow at all. We are both different from each other.
"Mom, you should get going now." I told her.
"This is what I am still talking about, you are even trying to chase me away from your house, Huh? Do you know how bored I am." She pouted.
"I'm sorry mom, I have some things to do." I told her as I walked away from the sitting room.
I wasn't too harsh on her? Was I?
I opened the fridge as I didn't meet any food there, arrrrgggggg.
I walked back to my room in disappointment, I am really hungry.
*Few Minutes Later.*
The smell of fresh bread hit my nose, woah! I haven't eaten bread in a while now. How did she know I am hungry, Huh?
I came out of my room as I went downstairs, I noticed my mom isn't there anymore. She must have gone already.
I went into the kitchen and I saw Melanie bringing out the bread from the oven.
I stood at the door entrance as I watched how she brought out the bread from the oven, but what was surprising was that the bread was in small quantity. I eat in small quantity but this bread can't be okay for me.
"Ouch." She gasped as I wanted to rush to her, she got her hand burnt, she should have been more careful.
She looked up as she noticed I was standing at the kitchen entrance. She smiled at me as she bow her head. That smile looks suspicious seems as if she's up to something.
"I will be eating now you can serve me. You can also prepare me some coffee." I instructed as the next thing I heard was the sound of laughter.
Is there anything funny in what I just said, Huh?
She really looked crazy with the way she was laughing, I've never seen her acting this way before.
"Sir, I'm sorry but I didn't prepare your bread." She stated with those grey eyes staring at me.
She must be really joking, she should find a better lie.
"You weren't expecting me to start working this early, so I thought you must have eaten something. So I didn't bother to prepare yours." She explained...
There's no way I'm going to beg her to prepare mine for me, I can't lower my standard all because of bread. She put the hot bread in a plate as she pass by my side and placed it on the dining table.
My stomach grumbled so hard, she heard it grumbled...this is so embarrassing!!!
