"Such a great view," Arthur said patting Michael's revealed ass cheek. Michael was swift to take something to cover himself. His heart pounded in his chest. He thought he had locked the door. How did the king get into the washroom? Even at that how did he sneak up at him like this? Was he so immersed in his thoughts that he had not heard his footsteps?
Arthur had that playful smirk on his face. The smirk that used to melt all the girls in their school days. It still melted them now as women. "My king. Do you need something?" He asked when he realized that he had been lost in his mind yet again. Arthur came to lift his chin. Molding their lips together. The king's lips were the only lips that had ever kissed Michael's. It shouldn't have been like that but to Michael it felt like he'd be betraying the king if he kissed anyone else. As stupid as it sounded his mind and heart had accepted it. Michael resisted the urge to moan from the kiss and slightly started pushing the king away. "I will go get ready."He made to leave but Arthur wrapped his arms around him. "Just stay with me like this. Just for a little while. "Michael couldn't resist. The king's warmth was too warm and comforting. He wished he could stay right there in it forever. But everything in life had to have an end and even this comfort had to have an end soon enough. He couldn't stay like this with the king. Sure they were close and people wouldn't ask too many questions if they found them like this but there would always be other people who like himself would ask what kind of relationship did he really share with this king...was it friendship? Had to be more since he could stick his life for this man whether at war or anywhere else. This was not just because of friendship or him being the king's knight. No it was so much more than just that.
He loved this man. He just didn't know how to express that love or if he would be allowed by the king to even do such a thing. Sure there was something between them. Even now that was very visible. But that was just that something they did in the darkness of a closed room. What about outside? Would they be allowed to do what they did in closed doors outside where the people of the kingdom could see and comment on their... relationship? Michael cleared his throat after a while of them, him and the king just holding each other. "Uh... I really do have to get ready king. I have a training session to get to. And I think the king has some things to get to too. Don't you?" Arthur looked slightly shocked and a bit hurt by this words as he let go of Michael freeing him from their warm embrace. "You are right." He pulled his more serious face before saying anything else to Michael who was still flustered by the whole thing. "Am I making you uncomfortable maybe?" He pushed the words out as if they'd hurt his entire soul to even utter them out. "If I am Michael do tell me. Do not let my crown force you to do things you do not wish to do. I fear maybe I have become comfortable in what we have." He waited in silence waiting for Michael's answer. Michael who was shocked at the question. "Why would you ask that?" He nervously laughed holding his waist. "Do I look uncomfortable?" "Well you're running from me now." "I am not running. Arthur if I cared for your crown more than I cared about you as a person trust me sir I wouldn't be with you now." He breathed in deeply. "It's an insult to me actually. That you think of me as some loser who doesn't have a backbone. Trust me when and I know this will never happen. But when you do something I do not like, I do not want and I do not invite myself or welcome I will tell you directly to your face that I don't like it, that I don't want it and that I need you to stop. As of now everything is welcome." He stood up straight as he wrapped the towel he had on one of his free hands around his waist. "I do have somewhere to be though at this moment. And if it were not important I wouldn't be going." The king's mischievous smile came back on. "So I am not important?" Michael pulled a smirk of his own. "As of this moment no. Not even the crown is more important than your life. I have to go train Arthur to make me and the other knights capable of protecting your life dear king." "I agree. My crown is not important. What about my happiness then? Clearly my life can't be tied only to my physical health." He placed a hand on his chest. "My heart needs some protection too." "Oh?" Michael smiled at this stalling tactic the king was making right now. "Then get a wife. So your heart will be protected. Why ask your knight that?" The king's whole expression changed from playful to serious really quickly. "A wife?" He rolled his eyes. "My subjects say that. My council. My people who I rule say that. 'King get a wife they say.' But I never think that even you can say that to me. I mean most times I forget that you also my subject...and you remind now?" Michael also changed his face to serious. "Am I not your subject?" He contoured the king's words. "What makes me different from the others?" "You are different! You know that you are—" the king blinked a bit trying to find the right words to say at that moment but he couldn't seem to. And this caused a silence to reign in the dark washroom they were in. After a few more minutes of painful silence Michael turned to walk to his clothes at the end of the room. He picked them up from a table there. "So you have no idea what I am to you Arthur?" He looked at the king with intense emotions boiling out. "I think I really do have to go now. The question is who will get out of here first. Should I leave you here or should I wait until you go first?" Arthur nodded. Seeing that he had lost the battle."I will go." He walked the distance to Michael. He raised his hand to touch Michael's shoulder but stopped midway. "I don't struggle to pronounce what you are to me just because I am confused but because I know that words aren't capable of truly saying what you are to me." He turned to walk to the door he came from when he got in but he had something to say before he left. " Some might call it friendship but I know it's deeper than that Michael. I just do not possess the right words to know what to say." With those last words the king left. Leaving Michael to his own clouded mind. He thought about the words Arthur left him with. And he understood what they meant. But he didn't share the same sentiment. Because he on the other hand knew exactly what he wanted to say. What Arthur was to him. But like always he didn't truly know if he could say that out. Maybe one day...if he dreamt hard enough. As of now he had a job to do. And that was to protect the king. And that responsibility came before anything else I'm the world. Everything else would come last. ---"Did you eat?" That was a question from a mysterious voice to an even more mysterious person who had a cloak covering their face.
"Have I eaten?" The cloaked one shot back with a gasp. "Do you think I am enjoying this?!" She shouted now out of anger that this person with her had asked her such a question. "Do you think I'm here to eat?!" "I didn't mean to upset you." The voice said way too quickly. "I just asked because well for the mission to be very successful we would have to be full." He explained in a softer voice than that of his sister. "You truly cannot make any bad moves now. Sister when you were given this mission mother relied on you to have a better judgement than me. So please do have that." "What makes you think that I don't?! Do you think I'm stupid little brother?!" "I did not say so. But if you dared get out from our home without food then you truly stupid. Because you won't even get to do your mission there if you will be hungry for every prey you see and smell there." The sister made a face. Trying to seem like she was in control of this. "Mother didn't say anything about eating you jerk!" "Always with the yelling with you." Her brother shook his head. "Do you think our mom has time to tell you stupid nonsense like you must eat? Dear big sister you should know such things. No one has to tell you." The sister bit her lip. Angered by the fact that her younger brother was already teasing and mocking her as he always did even before the mission started. She turned her back from the palace gates they had both just been in front of. "There is still some time for this mission anyway." She walked faster than her brother leaving him to still stare into what was inside the palace. He saw some knights getting ready for training walk past the gates. He was intrigued by one that looked directly at him. This made him gasp in wonder and shock. He wasn't allowed to react more before his sister came to drag him away by the ear. "You little brat! So much trouble to me!" She seethed as she marched away with him. The two siblings only stopped walking when they had gotten themselves on a nearby river. That's when the brother curiously looked at his sister. "Could they see you before mother gave you the mission?" He asked this as he watched his older sister remove her cloak. To now see his sister's unamused face that looked at him with disgust. "What are you on about?" "I mean like...uh...you know could they see you even before mother made it possible?" "What kind of nonsense are you on about?!" The sister was now really angry. "You want to be seen by them now?! So you can spoil my mission right?" "Not everything is about you sister." He looked away from his sister disappointed that he didn't get an answer from her but he knew there had to be something strange with the one that looked back at him. The image coming back to his mind made him feel excited. About what was to come.
King Arthur the third of Emerald stood before the people of his kingdom. He had called a meeting for all to attend. Everyone came running. The king was not one to call meetings if there was no need to. He called them because there was a need for them. Never just for social visits. The nobles, wealthy and known men and women came as many as they could to see what their king had called them there for. Even some of the peasant families made it . They too were curious and keen to know what this good king of theirs had to say. Even if it was going to cost them a leg and a toe to repay the traveling costs of the coaches they went with. King Arthur cleared his throat. "My good people. My subjects I'd like to first thank you all for honoring the request I made to all of you." He began to address his people. "I am not going to take much of all your time because I know you are all busy people with busy schedules." He reassured as he made his people even more keen to know what it re
The wedding was a rushed and a small affair. Most people did not want to come because they did not want to see this lucky person. This chosen one. This woman who would have it all. Have the respect, the power and the wealth. Not forgetting the crown. They were jealous of all the things she'd end up having. Those who were there wanted to finally put a face on the mystery of this wife. This queen of theirs. But they had no such luck. The queen's veil did not reveal anything. Not even when they kissed did she get to be seen by the people. It frustrated people even the more when she and the king retreated to the inside of the palace. Leaving everyone with opened mouths. It had been a lake wedding. The whole reason the kingdom was called Emerald kingdom was because of the lake. The shine, colour and beauty of it only reminded people of emeralds. "Why won't she be seen?" One complained. She was here only for the big reveal of the queen. Only to just be like those who had not
Michael was at the training grounds fighting with his dragon Jenkins. It was a crafty creature that did not use its fire until the very last moment. Michael knew this and he wanted to time it just right. He had his sword on his left hand swinging it smugly in order to cause the dragon an early release of that fire feared by all. Usually dragons did not like mortals acting smug to them so they always wanted to strike first when they saw that they were being disrespected. They saw themselves as the kings of kings. They had been alive for centuries. While the mortals only lived for years and then died ever so quickly. Jenkins was not so easily fooled. He could take this just like any great soldier. He would strike when necessary. Michael huffed. Only causing amusement from Jenkins."Fine then" Michael said in a battle cry his sword aimed directly at Jenkins who would not be swayed. He went to run and could see his target . His audience was captivated. His mother was nodding her head loo
Michael was asleep on his bed in his bedroom when he heard the door open. Him being a light sleeper opened his eyes ready to draw out his sword if this was a danger. But he was put to an ease when he came eye to eye with Arthur. He sat up from bed. His hands rubbing at his eyes. He pulled out his sword from the other side of his bed. Placing it on the little table close to his bed."My king. What brings you here?"Arthur had no answer for him. He should have been with his wife. It was nightfall but he couldn't seem to be able to force himself to go sleep in his bedroom . The bedroom that had his wife in. It had only been a few hours since they had gotten married. The queen was still not seen by anyone because she stayed where her husband left her. She still waited for his return but the king didn't return. Even now instead of being with her he was in his knight's bedroom .He stalked the bed. Michael didn't quite know how to react to him. This was not the king's first time in this roo
Like a vulture Michael ate the remains of the cake. It was too delicious for him to leave it just at a slice. That was why he ate the whole thing. It was a cake meant for the king. His mother had baked it especially just for the king who she knew had a sweet tooth. Her son and the king had been best friends for a very long time. This gave the cunning woman to know everything she had to know about the great king. His dislikes and likes were in her memory. Even sleeping she would tell you how he liked his tea and how he hated his meat."Mother what did you put in this? It's really good", he complimented as he licked his fingers making sure there was no lingering taste. "No wonder Arthur loves it so much ."His mother had not said a word just looked at her son. Observing him with her sharp eyes. He had not noticed this before. He had been too concerned in what he was eating than on his mother who was known of her unstoppable tongue. She could speak until you the one who was l
Arthur smiled. Joking was allowed. People could play with things. Maybe Michael thought he could play about this too. "Mike let's go to sleep. You must be tired". Michael's face changed. "Sleep?! Arthur did you not hear me? I am pregnant! I am carrying your baby! And you're telling me about sleep. I'm not sleeping. I am going to stand here until you hear me.""Mike what are you saying? And why are you shouting? I have two ears. And I am here standing in front of you tell me calmly what is happening."Michael took Arthur's hand. Taking it to his stomach. "This is your child. You placed him there.""You are serious?" Arthur asked now taking this whole thing very seriously. "Mike you can't joke with things like this""Would I really joke with something like this?! Don't you know me Arthur?" He pushed the king away from him. Turning to walk away only to be stopped by Arthur who held him from behind. "I'm sorry. Sorry that I am stupid. Sorry that I didn't believe you. Everythi
She was sure that her grandson was alright. He wouldn't be hurt by something so little. But she had to be sure. But even saw she had to check to make sure that truly everything was as it should with the little prince. She felt with her hands on Michael's stomach. Michael was biting at his finger nails. He bit his finger nails when he was nervous. As she had thought. Nothing was wrong with the baby. But she didn't say that to her son. "Do you see what you almost cost?!""What? Mom did I hurt him?" His eyes were blinking rapidly. His breathing going on overdrive. "Will he be okay? It's just been a week. ..will he-"Mona immediately regretted playing with her son like this. "Sorry dear. I was just making sure you won't do it again. You might not get this lucky next time. ""So he's fine?""Yes as healthy as can be."Michael threw a cookie to his mother's direction. "Mona don't do that! What if I had a heart attack here?" He brushed his not yet visible stomach. Glad th
Michael heard the screams upstairs. The midwives were there with Riya. Arthur continued to wrap Michael into his arms as they cuddled on the bed. "Arthur your wife is in labour" he reminded. "So?""What do you mean so? She is your wife. She is giving birth to your son. Your heir. The heir to the kingdom. You should be there."Arthur kissed Michael's neck. "Too kind. "Michael did not understand people telling him this. He wasn't kind just sensitive to things that happened around him."That woman has midwives looking after her she is going to be fine. Plus I married her because she is strong enough not to die in childbirth."Michael breathed holding his stomach. "Auh..hn""What is wrong?" Arthur asked quickly. Worry on his features. He and Michael sat up on bed. Michael held his hand. "Arthur call my mother.""What is happening? Are you okay?"'Ahh!" Michael screamed again. Squeezing Arthur's hand. "Call my mom! "Mona was a midwife. Michael didn't want anyone else helping
Chapter 8 Baluthando I just kissed another guy! Well it was a peck but it still is a kiss! And the way he looked at me afterwards. Shit! Like he was mesmerised. Why would he look at me like that? I wasn't... I mean there was a moment, a moment where I kinda wanted to really kiss him. Especially when he licked at my lips. Trying to make me open my mouth but of course I refused him. I want look like a woman now but I know I'm not. The kingdom has a specific set of rules, the first in the line is No same sex couples. I for one had absolutely nothing against being gay. You can't choose who you fall in love with. But in this kingdom you can be killed for it. Especially if you're royality. Being the prince and gay would make my life pretty difficult. So no thank you. I love my life too much to just let myself be dead like that. “ You're silent for once.” Moli commented as we got inside the house. “ I just don't have anything to say that's all. ” He nodded. “ I'll go pl
Chapter 7 Celiwe I walked into the house. Only to see my parents with too much black in their clothes. They looked like movie spies. I laughed making them to look at me. “ What are you guys doing?” “ Since your brother is making our lives difficult. We're going to go kidnap your husband to be. To go throw him in the arms of your brother. The sooner we do this the better for all of us” I smiled and swiped at my phone to the pic I took of both Moli and his girlfriend. Showing the both of them. Mom was first to gasp and snatched away my phone from my hands. “ Is this...?” I nodded, “ That's Moli, your son mom. He has a girlfriend and by the looks of it their pretty much happy. His eyes literally lit up the minute he saw her come in the room. Their in love.” “ If their in love then what's this about him wanting to get a night with the prince?” Father asked as he looked at the pic as well. I sighed. “ Well he just thinks I'm too young to get married. I think he just
Chapter 5 Molitha The girl hit my hand off. “ What the hell!” I smiled at how cute she looked right now. “ Feisty little thing aren't you?” She opened her mouth as if to say something but quickly stopped herself. “ You hungry?” She nodded her head. Oh. The silent treatment. Okay guess that's fine too. I went to the kitchen to prepare something for the both of us. Since there was only butter and bread there wasn't any choice but the obvious. I took two plates for us and put four slices on each and then spread the butter on the bread. Then took out the juice from the fridge and poured it on two glasses. I managed to balance both plates and the glasses on a tray with one hand. Which was a horray! For me. When I got to the living room again I saw the girl trying to sit up but failing . I placed the plates on the coffee table along with the drinks. I then went to help her sit up but the stubborn girl tried to push me away. “ Do you want to eat? Or should I leave
Chapter 4 Baluthando I was getting very annoyed right now. What was taking the ambulance so long? I seriously didn't want to stand one more second listening to this guy. He had the guts to think I'm a girl! That shit needs to stop! If only I could feel my legs and see! I would kick the living day lights out of him. Then he'd know better than to just insult royalty for his personal gain. “ Seeing that we're gonna stay here together for a while would you mind telling me how you got to the woods? Plus the blindness and cripple thing. Don't leave the being girl now part out. ” Is this guy serious?! Lord! If you could just give me my sight and only my left leg I would have killed this asshole now. “ Will you shut up! I've had enough of your voice. Please!” “ Heard enough of my voice? Now that's a new one. I'm usually the one who gets enough of the others' voices. Not too bad for a girl.” I am literally shaking from the inside right now. The anger this guy is giving me right now! How d
Chapter 3Molitha I woke up feeling like a truck hit me. I really wasn't in the mood or the right mind to fight or talk to anyone right now. Who was I even kidding? No one talks to me. So this grumpy mood of mine is for myself and I. Might as well go for a run to at least get this bad mood out of my system before work. God knows if I do one more thing to get Mr Smith angry he's gonna fire me for sure. And the mood I'm having right now won't do any favours for me. I didn't bother to change from the clothes I now had just noticed I slept with. I blame that fucking ‘family meeting’ it's the one that's causing me to get so angry early in the morning now! Moli breathe. Getting worked up won't help you now. A run will. I'm totally messed up. I have to calm to myself to calm myself down. The hell is that! I put my earphones started jogging outside. About a mile away from the house I started to come back but as I reached the Tercab woods just close to my house I saw somet
Chapter 2 Molitha I arrived home. Collapsed on the bed. What the heck did I do?! One night with the prince? Am I crazy?! Not only will that not happen but I'd be thrown to the hangers if the king or anyone else other than the family heard me say such a thing. Being gay in this kingdom is a serious offense. An offense that will be treated as if it were treason. We live in the twenty first century where anything is possible. Anyone can love anyone but not here. No such a thing will be found here. We are like dark ages except modern. What would I even do with the prince the whole night? Ugh! Moli! Why can't you just live through the grudge? Because I can't! I want to see those people suffer like they made me suffer. So declaring that you won't be part of your sister's wedding till you get one night with the prince is revenge? Yes! Because they'll never agree to it. Oh yeah? The same parents who do everything in they're power to get what they want are t
Chapter 1 Molitha I got to the house. For some reason there was a family meeting that was called. Which surprisingly they added me as well. You see my family and I don't get along much. I stay at my own house and they stay at theirs. I felt nothing for the house that I once called home. The house that once was home. But now it just feels like a holder of all the bad memories of my life. All the memories I have tried so hard to suppress. Here I am now at same place I hate the most. "You made it" I looked up to see Celiwe,my little sister. She ran to me. I opened my arms for her. The hug was brief but it had all the emotions that we were feeling. I last saw her when she was sixteen now at eighteen she looks so grown and all woman. I almost didn't recognize her. "Do you know how much I missed you!" She screamed still clinging onto my jacket. "You know where my house is. "I replied with an emotionless voice. Even with her I knew I couldn't be free to talk as I p
11. When I love ZeusI was in my throne room attempting to drink my second glass of gkive( a strong dosage of alcohol that can be also described as whiskey but stronger) I wanted to just get get drunk already. I had no one. Arrow also had the responsibility of taking care his daughter not that he couldn't let the servants do it but I understand him. He just lost his wife and all he had left of her was their daughter. I wish at least my case was the same. I could have someone to kill the boredom with but I have no one. Just as I was going for a sip the throne room doors were opened by a guard. I stared at him waiting for explanation of the disturbance. “Your highness the queen has returned.”My head jerked up when my eyes connected with blue ones. Ones that I knew as Eva's. She wasn't the only one that surprised me with though. The baby in her arms also surprised the alcohol out of me. I stood up, looking at her. She only gave me a grim look. “Eva?”“No Evangeline now.” She correc
10. Lucinda ArrowI got back to my own palace. To see everyone running around in circles. And what were those loud shouts?I pulled a servant out. “What the hell is happening?” I asked her. “ Um... mistress is in labour.” She answered. “I said tell me what hell is happening?! Don't fucking joke with things like that!”“Sire she is in your bed chambers this minute with the midwives.” What was she saying? “What?” I rushed to the stairs racing like my life depended on it. To my room where the shouts and screams were coming from. I pushed the door open. To see the shock of my life. My wife was truly giving birth. She was lying on the bed. Screaming at the top of her lungs as she kept on being told to push. “Lorinda.”“Arrow?” she gasped out. I didn't understand. How come I never knew my own wife was pregnant? She didn't show any signs of it. She had no baby bump in fact I don't even remember her mentioning any sicknesses. I was about to approach her but the midwives pushed me
