Madison’s POV

I was so grateful when I got the news that Tyler paid for my mother’s surgery. It was the best news I ever heard, but I wished it came from someone else, but certainly not from Tyler. He is already starting to show his real self.

To think he was the sweet and humble man I got attracted to. Now I can start to see he’s proud and boastful; he might talk about it in a way I wouldn't like. “What is wrong with me? Why am I being ungrateful?" I hit my head with my strawberry exfoliating scrub container. It hurt but I was trying to scold myself so I didn't mind.

I was in the shower and as the hot water ran through the crown of my head to the sole of my feet, I was calm. I placed my hand on the wall for balance.
