Chapter 8.

AURELIA'S P.O.V

I had chosen an armless black dress with a high slit on my left leg, which had a halter neck, paired with a white purse and transparent pointy heels. I was in no way slender or model-like, no...I was thick, borderline plus size. I had wide hips and a somewhat large bum which accentuated my thick thighs, waist not too slim and C-sized cups. I was not always the most confident about my body but I knew I looked good, better than good.

Stepping out of my room once I was dressed and spritized, I walked over to Lucy who seemed to be asleep, but raised her head up to look at me upon hearing my footsteps.

"What do you think sweetheart? Does mommy look good?" I asked as I twirled before her, I doubt she understood what I said but still she let out a meow, walking over to me and brushing her fur on my exposed leg.

Giggling, I squat as I run my fingers through her fur. She seemed to be enjoying it by the way she wagged her tail, letting out a soft purr.

Just then, the doorbell rang signalling Cooper's arrival.

"Alright baby, that's my cue to go. I promise I'll be back soon okay?" Petting her one last time, I rose to my feet as I made my way over to the door, opening it to reveal Cooper standing oh so handsomely on the other side.

"Hi." I smile.

"Hey you." He smiles back, pulling me in for a quick kiss. "You look gorgeous babe."

"And you look ravishing."

"Mmm really, how ravishing exactly?" He murmurs, pulling me closer as he grips me by my waist, kissing me once more. Behind me, I hear Lucy let out a hiss causing us to release each other as I chuckle, Cooper raises a brow.

"That her?" He asks, motioning towards Lucy.

"Yeah, isn't she absolutely beautiful?" I turn my head to look at her.

"Yeah I suppose, but not nearly as beautiful as you." His words caused a blush to rise on my cheeks as I give him an eye roll.

"Sure, c'mon let's go or else we'll be late." Saying my goodbyes to Lucy one final time, I shut the door behind me. I wasn't worried about her getting hungry anytime soon as I had made provisions to last her till the next morning if I happened to stay out late or stay overnight.

"So, where are we going to?" I asked, looking over at him as he drove.

"It's a surprise, you wouldn't want me to ruin it by telling you now, would you?" He smirked, reaching for my hand and bringing it up to his lips, kissing the back of my palm as I groan playfully.

"Come on, please. Okay gimme a hint." He tsks, shaking his head in refusal. Feigning annoyance, I looked out the window watching the city pass by with my hands interlocked on my thighs.

"Don't be like that baby, I promise you'll love it." Giving him a small smile, I nod. The rest of the journey goes by smoothly with Coopers hand occasionally dropping onto my exposed thigh, trying to sneak its way into the panties which I'd often swat away.

True to his words, I loved the surprise. Cooper had taken me to a restaurant which had an exclusive rooftop view where we were to have dinner. The view was to die for, we were able to have a vast view of the city from up here and it was beautiful, the city lights, the ambience...everything was incredibly beautiful beyond words.

"How did you find this place? It's amazing." I pondered out loud.

"A friend recommended it." I nod in understanding, that friend must have great taste because this was....Wow.

We were handed the menus, I settled for a Petite Marmite, rice and medium-rare steak while Cooper settled on creamy pasta with steak and I must say, it tasted delicious.

"So, how has work been?" He asked, making small talk.

"Fine I guess, you?"

"Same, the company's doing really well." Cooper owned a tech company, started it all by himself and I must say I'm really proud of him.

"And the baby?" His question catches me off guard for a moment, and I think he's somehow found out about my sexcapade with Thorne. But then I remember that I had told him that I was carrying his child.

"Baby? You okay?" He voices in concern.

"Yeah sure I'm okay. And the baby's okay too." I manage a smile, my hand subconsciously darting to caress my stomach.

"Good, I wouldn't want anything to happen to my mini me." He grins.Unable to respond, I just continue with my meal.

"Have you decided on baby names yet?" He continues.

"Not yet, but soon." I keep my answer short hoping he'd change the topic.

"I was thinking something along the lines of Tom or maybe Rebecca. You know Becca for short." God no, not that I had anything against the names but I wasn't naming my child that. Having had enough of the baby topic I decide to change the conversation.

"I missed you." I mutter softly, meeting his eyes which looked at me affectionately.

"I missed you too baby." He reaches forward and holds my hand, rubbing it lovingly.

"I know I've been a dick lately, not giving you attention, the fights and all that but I want all of that to be behind us. I want to give us a fresh start. No more fights."

"I want that too Cooper, with our...baby on the way I want us to be as we once were." His lips slightly parted with soft eyes, my head tilted with a smile.

"What is it?"

"Nothing, hearing you call the baby ours...it makes me happy." The corners of my eyes crinkled as tears welled up in my eyes, guilty tears.

"Hey hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset."

Shaking my head I blink the tears away, "No...no it's not you, it's the hormones. It's making me more sensitive." I pick up my wine glass sipping the contents.

"Speaking of sensitive," his tone turned teasing as the smirk returned.

Cocking my head to the side, "You've got that look." I say.

"What look?" Cooper asks innocently causing me to shake my head in amusement.

"You know, *that* look."

"I surely hope you mean what I mean. Because I intend on making you extremely sensitive tonight in other places Miss Aurelia, we've got a long night ahead of us."
