Shawn looked into her eyes but his thoughts didn’t waver. He shook his head firmly and replied, “I will not take back the choices I have done. I would do them again at any time.”

“Even hurting me,” Josie noted, smiling to herself and asking what had she expected from the man standing in front of her. She should have known what kind of a bastard he was and stayed away from him!

She should have known he wouldn’t regret what he did even if that means hurting her.

“Go now,” Josie said, turning her face away. She pulled her blanket and rolled away, resting her head on the fluffy pillows.

Yet even as she had told him to leave, he didn’t. Shawn remained where he was and sit next to her. Feeling annoyed, her eyes snapped backward and she glared at Shawn who was staring at her. Although she flinch at first when their gaze met, she hardened her heart, saying in anger, “Leave! If you won’t apologize or reflect on your mistake then you might as well think of me as dead.”
