chapter seventy

Jade Mitchell's POV

My face was swollen from crying so much; maybe Tyler was right, and I was just a child after all, given all my childish actions. Justin had been sitting on the other side of the door, calling me for hours, and I hadn't even responded. I looked through the crack once again, and there he was.

"Go away, don't you have those sluts to fawn over tonight?" I shouted loudly for him to hear.

"Cut it out, Jade. I just want to talk," he said.

"Talk to the bimbos you picked up last night." After saying that, he didn't reply anymore; I saw that he had moved away. I went back to bed and stared at the instrument I hadn't used in a long time to ease the pain. Would it be wrong to use it again because of a man? Am I really an immature girl? I removed the blade from my sight and lay back down.

Suddenly, the doorknob turned, and I saw Justin enter and lock the door again.

"Get out," I said, turning away as quickly as I could to hide my tear-stained face.
