chapter one hundred thirty-nine

Justin's POV

"Come on, Uncle, please!" Olivia insists once again on going to Beth's house to see Josh.

Tyler asked me to take her out of the house for a while to stop her from asking for her mother. I did what he asked. I don't agree with it at all, but I know he won't hurt her. Tyler isn't stupid enough to do that. Well, actually, he is, if he went to meet Caitlin, but he wouldn't lay a finger on Emily, not again.

"Uncle!" This time it was David; he pretends like none of that father story was true. He keeps calling me "Uncle," and I don't blame him. I'm not used to it either.

"Alright," I say; the restaurant was already closed anyway. "Cassie, ask one of the security guys to take you home; I'll swing by later to pick them up."

"Okay, just a few bills left for you to close," she says, leaving with the two kids.

"Bye, you ungrateful brats," I say to them, and they laugh.

In a matter of seconds, they vanish, and the silence is great. Honestly, these two are very noisy, they never stop,
