chapter one hundred and forty.

Emily's POV:

I couldn't think straight when I saw my daughter lying there on the floor covered in blood. For a moment, I think I just froze, which is why I only snapped back to myself when Tyler was already near her, calling her name. I ran to the floor and could see where all that blood was coming from; it was from her left arm. I tried to keep as calm as possible; no one taught me how to help my own daughter, how to think clearly. The blood was spraying like a broken pipe gushing water.

"Olivia?" I called her. She was somewhat unconscious but still awake.

I looked at the arm more closely; the bullet hadn't entered, it wasn't there, but it had caused enormous damage.

"Mom, it hurts," she says with a trembling voice.

"It's okay, my love, you're strong, remember?"
