CHAPTER one hundred and thirty-three

Emily POV

As dawn broke, I decided to go after Jade myself. I know she's not bad; she must have a good reason for all this. I parked the car in front of Ethan's house for hours until she finally came out into the garden. I approached her. I got out of the car, carrying a gun located at my waist.

"Jade?"

She turned around, startled.

"What are you doing here?" she asked nervously.

"It doesn't matter. Is Ethan here?" I asked, hiding among the furniture with the gun in hand.

"No, he's not," she replied weakly.

"Great! Let's get David and get out of this house."

Even after hearing me, she remained stunned. She didn't even move.

"What's wrong, Jade? Where's David?"

"Calm down, Emily! I'll take care of him," she replied nervously, her face flushed.

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"I'm not leaving, Emily!" she said firmly.

"Why the hell did you decide to go there alone?"

"Because I felt like it," Tyler," I reply, dry and angry.

"What do you mean, Jade doesn't want to come back?"
