I and Hades spent the rest of the day just talking, catching up. I was really trying to distract him from thinking about that stupid letter from Jonathan, but I could tell it was still seriously disturbing him. We were both lying on the bed, facing the ceiling. The whole inn was quiet and so was the surrounding area. It was as if everyone knew that I and Hades were here and were even too scared to make any noise. It was...quiet and nice to be honest."How do you think he was able to send the letter?" Hades asked me."I don't know. You are the one who is protector of the barrier. How did it even get to you?" I asked, turning my head to look at his profile."One of the guards I stationed therebrought it to me when I was at the camp" he replied."And you left in anger instead of coming to talk to me about it" I said, I guess I was still a little angry."I won't do that again" he said, sounding sorry."Well, he must be one determined person to actually be able to send it through. I won
We left after a few days, although I didn't want to go, Hades reminded me that we had a lot of work piling up for us at the palace, so we had to go. I had to say farewell to the small family that had taken me in, it was funny how attached I had gotten at the end of my time with them. I had promised to visit them as soon as I had the chance, and they were allowed to come visit me anytime.I, Hades and the demon wolves left, and finally the creatures of the small town came out to bade us farewell, there had been no time for me to come out and truly see what kind of creatures they were, but the next time I came I would definitely take time out to do just that.Hades told me that the trip back would take just a moment, since he would be flying us there and we could get there in no time. My demon wolf guards on the other hand, would have been come back hours later, since they would be coming by foot. We were escorted by the guards and most of the creatures to the outskirts of the town b
A few days later we had the letter ready and we had one of his realm messengers deliver the message. It was a copy of a signed agreement many years ago that was made when Hades attached the land of the living when was younger, it stated that Kings were not allowed to visit or poach in the realm of another, as that would be a proclamation of war. It also had a letter personally written by Hades. I had urged him to let me see the letter but he hadn't let me, telling me he already had it sent. I just hope he didn't put anything worse or terrible than what he was supposed to."At Least give me a basic idea of what you wrote. Did you tell him to back off completely? Did you threaten him? Tell me..." I whined after him one morning when he had just woken up.He ignored me and walked into hisbathroom wearing only sweatpants, he looked yummy. Of course I followed him."Why won't you discuss this with me? I thought we were in this together" I said."Why do you want to know so badly? I took
We found Cerberus waiting for us at the barrier, a huge beast that he was. All his three heads came up when we got close and he immediately stood up and ran towards us, his huge paws literally making the ground shake. He came over to me and completely smothered me, jumping up and down and barking in joy."Hey big guy" I said as I tried to rub him as much as I could.A stranger would think that Ceberus was behaving this way because we hadn't seen each other in a while, but that was far from the truth. Cerberus was the last one I saw almost everyday before I went to sleep, and when I was gone for about a week to the central city, I spent the night sleeping literally on Cerberus rather than on the bed with my husband, we had gotten very close and couldn't forget all that he had done for me."Hey" whispered Hades as Cerberus. went over to him.I watched as the master touched the pet, Ceberus immediately whimpering and submitted. I looked to the side and found that our belongings had bee
The rest of the flight was uneventful, I tried as hard as I could to keep my eyes away from Hades, ignoring him and doing other things. My eyes still kept wondering though, and it made me realise how much I used to stare at him. If I thought about it well whenever I and Hades were in a room together eighty percent of the time my eyes were trained on him. Now that I was beyond pissed and angry I still wanted to look at him, but I wouldn't let myself.Hades was quiet as well, placing his head on his palm and closing his eyes. I knew he was awake and anytime I shifted even if it was a little bit his eyes immediately went open with his gaze trained on me. I could feel his gaze even more intense and scorching against my skin, he could tell that I was pissed at him, and I wondered if he knew what he had done wrong. Hades was a lot of good things even if he wasn't aware of it, but he could also be quite obtuse to many emotions, like I could literally tell he was wondering what was up wit
Well Shit."Well...that's definitely interesting, '' I said with a weird voice. That was intense. What my husband had just told me was huge, what?"I know it's a lot to process and you don't have to do that right now, you can take all the time that you need to come to terms with it. I will tell you more when I think you are ready" he said to me."Okay" said softly. My heart rate that had picked up was slowly coming back down, but I was still freaked out. My mind was going all over the place with what he had just said, and its connection with that drawing I had seen. There was an enemy out there that wanted to use me and defeat me, and in doing that be capable of destroying the world. I was absolutely scared out of my mind, not for me and what would happen to me, but for the world and what would happen to it. I needed to protect myself so that could protect the world."Don't worry too much about it. I will protect you" he said, his eyes calm and steady. He was absolutely sure of wha
Dinner was a silent affair, sounds of fork hitting ceramic and the chink of wine glasses was constant. I was surel was the only one that felt absolutely stupid and insecure, I honestly didn't even know how to use the right utensils and at some point just gave up and had to use whatever I could.Every once in a while the courses for dinner would change until it was time for dessert. I honestly couldn't wait for it to end so she could leave. I didn't know for how long I could keep ignoring the fact that not once had she looked at me and she kept staring at my husband, having small talks with him."How have you been enjoying your stay so far?" She asked Hades, giving him a big smile."The Castle is absolutely gorgeous. You said you just renovated it?" I answered instead, giving her my own big smile. It didn't escape my eyes the glare she gave me before she smiled back at me."Yes of course. A refurbishment of the castles are done every few years. I am glad we keep to this tradition eve
I walked out of Bodiam Castle and then went to where my husband stood waiting for me by the car. I was dressed in a formal white dress, it had a peplum top and then flayed to the ground, it looked beautiful and I felt elegant in it. My hair was braided as well, with flowers and some pins that made it look regal, my tail on the other hand was hidden. It wasn't that I was afraid of what they would think when they saw it, the dresses here just didn't allow me the luxury of letting my tail breathe without destroying the dress. So I met with Hades and he helped me get into the car through the door he had opened, then he joined me in. I honestly could not take my eyes off him, he was dressed in a three piece suit and I tell you he looked so good I wanted to cry. His hair was just like mine and had been actually done up in this masculine twist that made him look beautiful. I couldn't describe how good he looked even if I tried honestly. The Entourage pulled away from the curb and soon we
