I never realised but the history of hell went even farther than I had thought. It was the first realm that was created, an underworld filled with the darkest and deepest evil of all kinds. This realm was the beginning of life, and it made sense that it was also the end and where all life came back to after it had done its time.Hades had been King for all that time, finding solace only in doing what he had been made to do, collecting souls and transporting them into the afterlife. That was his job and responsibility as King, the work of moving lost souls through the barrier and into hell, and where these souls would change and be converted to a creature of sorts, depending on how bad a deed they had committed when they were alive. The not so bad ones were converted into high ranking creatures, and the most terrible ones into the very hideous ugly looking creatures, all depending on the severity of the bad things they did when they were alive.Hades crossed them over and changed the
We rode for the rest of the day, and I lived in my little world with the book as my universe. I let myself get lost in its pages, going from one thing to another and then back. There were just so many interesting things to learn about hell, the past and how things came to be the way they were now, I was completely captivated and didn't even realise time was going. I remember my maids coming back and serving me lunch, and then leaving again. I thought felt Hades presence at some point but that was it, my eyes were trained in the pages of the book for most of the duration of the travel that day, then it slowly became nightfall, the environment getting a little darker as the hours went by.Soon enough I could hear noises of servants and guards as they ran around and got busy, and that finally took me out of the haze I was in. Iraised my head up from the pillow and looked around below me, we had stopped for the evening. I could see a few tents had been made up and stuff, lots of servan
I sighed for what could be the hundredth time, I could see the side looks my maids were giving me, they looked a bit worried but they didn't have to be, since I had a huge smile on my face and a dreamy far away look on my face as well. My body rocked back and forth over and over, something I had gotten used to since yesterday when we started this journey. We had woken up at the crack of dawn and had immediately continued moving, I had been told we had about three cities to pass through today and we would be continuing the ceremony. Nobody realised that I and my husband and the creatures of the parallels had our own little....ceremony yesterday evening. After that beautiful kiss shared between I and Hades, he stepped away and let me do the rituals. Many of the parallels, older looking ones males and females had gotten around me holding differently coloured eggs, they had gone round and around me and then presented the eggs to me, apparently all I needed to do was blow air into them
"Should I expect anything? Maybe something different than what has been happening?" I wanted to know."No, of course not," he replied."Okay. I saw in our schedule that we would be staying there for two nights? And just seeing the people? Is that all?" I asked, wanting to know more."Yes it is. If anything else comes up l will let you know" he replied. The rest of the ride was quiet, I got lost immediately into my thoughts. I was loving how I and Hades relationship was, we both knew what time it was for certain things and we let things stay in their space. We could be romantic if we wanted, distant when it was needed and professional like when it was time. These past few days have been so hard on us with the cities and meeting the creatures and stuff, and I was guessing it would even be more busy when we finally got to the Central City. This whole trip would take about eight days back and forth from the castle, and we were only on the fourth day.Far away I could hear trumpets and
I sat as gracefully as I could with my eyes straight, I could feel Hades eyes onme but when I looked over at him, he turned away almost naturally as if he hadn't been looking. The rest of the day was spent that way, meeting up with the people and then interacting with them, they were all different and hence interacting with them was different, almost all of them brought gifts and it was all different. A goat, cheese, someone even brought me a crate of eggs. My maids were responsible for collecting and keeping them in an orderly fashion right through a curtain just behind us to the side.It was afternoon and then we took a little break to go have lunch and then immediately came back, and we continued that way all the way till nightfall before the meeting was closed for the day. I and my husband held hands as we walked towards the elevator surrounded by our guards and maids. My head was pounding so loud and I was so exhausted I felt faint and hence why I was holding Hade's hands, I co
I could hardly understand what they were saying because they were all talking at once, and excitedly too. So imagine me standing there trying to comprehend about a hundred children talking at the same time."Come on, let's go sit like we did yesterday" I said.It wasn't until I walked away that they quieted down and followed me. I could see some new faces and creatures I hadn't seen the day before, and I was genuinely excited to see them all.Parents stayed behind and even sat on some of the chairs as they watched us. More guards came in and surrounded everywhere, probably due to orders from Hades. I beckoned for Hashira to come close and together we were able to play and handle the kids together. I tried talking to them as individually as I could, going from one kid to another and talking to them. It wasn't until the tenth kid before it slowly dawned on me something I should have realised since yesterday. How the hell am I able to understand everything they were saying? These child
Tracking them came very easy to me, maybe it was because of my extra added senses due to the fact that I was in my true form, or maybe it was simply because someone had threatened and taken some of my people, all I knew was I super focused and ready to hunt some hooded fuckers down.My feet on the ground made no sound as I ran after them, they were fast, so fast that my demon wolf guards couldn't keep up with their attacks, but that didn't mean that they were too fast for me. They were now outside and were rushing towards a group of those...parked flying vehicles I had seen when we came here. They all ran and quickly got in with the children, I could see that they were not being gentle at all, they were going to pay for every tear that each child cried.I got outside after them as soon as Icould and for a split second contemplated whether I should follow them also on the vehicles or on foot. I could have easily gotten into one of the flying vehicles but for one I had no idea how t
We had been moving for quite some time, following the dots on the navigation bar. It has been a long time since we started trailing them and they still hadn't stopped, going farther and farther into the city. The central city was absolutely huge and I finally got to see how big it was, how diverse it really was and all the different buildings and places it had. I definitely wanted a tour one day but right now, our minds were on the children."It has stopped moving" said Hades, his gaze on the navigation bar.My eyes went there immediately and like he said, they had stopped flying and had parked somewhere on the ground. I could see the area and immediately put a break in my vehicle as well, letting it slowly come down to the ground before I parked."We will get closer on foot. Hurry" I said to Hades as I unbuckled my sit belt.I came out and waited for him to come around before turning in the direction, but Hades's hand immediately clamped on mine, halting my movement. He had this lo
