CHAPTER FIFTY SIX

They arrived late into the night. It was about midnight, the sky was dark out and everywhere was quiet. The only noise to be heard was the sway of the leaves in the forest.

We had gone as far as taking care of the candles so that not even a speck of light could be seen from outside.

They must have notified Commander Albert of their arrival because he just walked out of the bedroom where he had stayed and out through the side door into the evening. It was a while before he arrived back with the team in tow.

I said nothing because there was this tension they came in with. I knew there was nothing wrong and that I was feeling the tension because this was my first time actually seeing them do things from the outside. They looked so intimidating and powerful.

I immediately rushed to Commander Albert who was carrying Karis and led him into the room where she was laid down.

She had been resting for more than a day, she would be needing at least another day before I expected her to wake up.
