Jace's pov

I paced around my room angrily and Liam was the only one who was with me at that time. He was the one my father had introduced to me saying he would be the beta of my time because his father was my father's present Beta.

"You have to calm down Jace, today is your wedding day."

"Shut the fuck up before I pluck your eyes out!" I shot him a death glare before I continued pacing around.

"But she's your mate, don't you love her?" He asked and I paused to take him in a deep breath.

Liam was not a friend but for the past few days, he had become close to me during the preparation of the marriage ceremony.

"I asked you to shut up, didn't I?" I yelled, my veins showing in my neck.

"I'm worried about you, Jace, I know we aren't friends but I care about you."

"Lies,you just want to be the beta!"

"That's enough son." Father's voice interrupted as he walked into the room.

He moved to Liam and rested his hands on his shoulders.

"Can you leave us?" Father asked Liam who nodded
