Jace's Pov.

I gazed at the phone in my hand and I didn't know what to feel. All the emotions seemed to be running in my heart.

"Why did she talk that fast, why did she hangup, is she being kept a slave there?" I could feel my heart thudded loudly but the knock on my door interrupted the thought.

I had a house where I stayed instead of the pack house with my father. I loved him and looked up to him but I couldn't watch him carry out evil.

"Who is it?" I yelled as I walked towards the door and when I opened it, I froze.

"Tessa? I thought we talked about this. I needed sometime to think."

"I am not here to talk about that, I came here to ask how raven is and if you have heard anything from my sister."

"Why the sudden care?" I crossed my hands before walking into the house without even inviting her in.

"Well, I want to change." She stepped into the house, shut the door before taking a seat close to me.

"If you thinking changing would make me love you then you must be joking."
