Chapter five

  (Ariana POV)

The morning came and I didn't hear anything from him as I get the rest of my stuff into the van to start our trip to the school that will take at least a three-hour drive to get there. While we were driving to the school, I had time to think how this will be the first time to be in a school of werewolves. I've been in school that had only humans in it, and I never felt like I fit in with them. My skin was very pale, with my silver hair and eyes so they treated me like I was a freak. I always had to control Yue while I was in school because humans don't know anything about us and might not take what we are well. I hated that I always had to hide who I am and lying to anyone who would even try to be my friend. I guess it didn't even matter if I did made friends because in time we always had to move for some reason. We will only stay in one place about six months or one-year tops. I asked my parents many times why and I was always told that it was because of my fathers work. I must had fallen asleep for I didn't sleep well last night fearing that Akasma would find out where I was. When I woke up, we were at the place that we be staying in while we were in school. It looked more like apartments than it did a dorm.

"Come on Ariana, let me show you the apartment that we will be staying in."

"Wait, what do you mean apartment? Aren't we staying in a dorm?"

"Of course, we will be staying in an apartment, we will be staying here for at least ten months. My father made sure that we had a three bedroom and three bathrooms. Lets get going, Madison probably already there."

We start heading toward the place we will be staying on the fifth floor; I still can't believe that we will be staying in an apartment and not a dorm. We get there to see that the door was already open, and I can hear a two people in the room talking. There was a male and female voice but before I could ask Rosa who they were I see her running in there hearing two females screaming in excitement. 

"Oh my god Maddie, Rosa give it a rest. You're going to scare the dust bunnies out of here."

I walked into the place as the male and female stopped talking to looked at me with a surprise. The female was a little shorter than Rosa, straight light ash brown hair, sky blue eyes, and a light tannish skin. The guy was at least 5"10", short brown hair, the same blue eyes as the female, but his skin was a little bit lighter than hers and they both seemed to be staring at me like I was an alien or something.

"Oh Maddie, Gabby this is my cousin Ariana. Ariana this is Maddie that will be staying here with us and her brother Gabby."

"Don't call me that, its Gabriel to you but Ariana can call me anything she wants too."

"Maddie make your brother stop hitting on my cousin."

"Oh, big brother I can't believe you think that you have any chance with the silver wolf."

"Annoying little sister, mind you own damn business."

Growling as he stormed out of the apartment.

"Rina, please just ignore my brother, its just I'm afraid to say that all the males here are going to be acting weird around you. We all grew up with the legend of the silver wolf and actually seeing one is mind blowing for us all."

"Before moving in with my uncle, I never even heard of that story or thought of myself of anything special."

"Well, sadly pretty much everyone here has and maybe some of the witches as well. Let me show you your room so you can get yourself settled in."

I looked around the place walking away from the door I see to my left to be a bathroom for company and to the right it looks to be a pantry. Walking straight from the front door was my bedroom. 

"Ariana, come and see your room."

I walked into the to see it was a nice size room. It had a walk-in closet, a full bathroom and my own personal tv. Sadly, my bathroom had only a stand-up shower, only Rosa had a tub in her bathroom. As I went through the rest of the place had a nice size kitchen, dining room and front room. There was also an office with a computer to do our online homework. I get all my stuff unpack and my room set up my room. It didn't take too long and before I knew it was five in the evening. I decide to start making dinner for my cousin and hopefully a new friend. I decide to make them chicken cordon bleu, wild rice, and fresh green beans. Of course, it didn't take me too long to finish it up and call them to dinner.

"Wow Ariana, I can't believe you did all this for us."

"Yeah Maddie and I can't even make toast."

"Oh, shut up Rosa. I can so make toast without burning it as much as you do."

Both started to laugh and I'm guessing that is how its like to have a friend. I never really had a true friend in my life. I was always moving around, or the humans felt I was too much of a freak. They accused me of dying my hair and wearing contacts to look different from them for attention. I'm hoping here I'll be able to make friends with people who I wouldn't have to hide my true self from. I should let my brother know that I made enough dinner for him and his roommates to eat because if don't then most likely he'll just be eating fast food or take outs.

'Hey Casmir?'

'Whats up sis?'

'I made enough dinner for you, Nat and Consalvo to eat.'

'Great, what did you make my favorite sister?'

'Only sister.'

'Not the point.'

'Well, I made chicken cordon bleu, wild rice and fresh green beans.'

'Oh man yes, did I tell you that you were my favorite sister?'

'Again, only sister.'

'Again, not the point. Well I'll be there in a bit after I tell the other two.'

"Hey Rosa, Maddie I hope you don't mind that I'm having my brother, Nat, and Consalvo come for dinner."

"Oh, thats fine. I haven't seen Nat in years."

We get busy to get everything ready before they get here. I set the table up, Maddie made a salad, and Rosa did an easy dessert Strawberry Brownie Parfaits. As we get just about everything down my brother comes walking into our place as I noticed that Maddie just stop making the salad and looks toward the door for some reason.

"Hey sis, what is that amazing smell of orange blossom and spices. Do you think I can get some for my bedroom?"

What the hell is my idiot of a brother talking about? I'm not smelling anything with orange blossom, but when I look toward Maddie that it all hit me at one time. No way, does that mean that she might be my brothers mate? My brother walks into the dining area and just stops in his track to stare at Maddie, but then before I noticed that he was right next to here in a flash.

"Mate?"

What, is Maddie really my brothers mate? I cannot believe it. No, I'm not mad that she is his mate. I'm just not understanding all this mate stuff and how it works. My brother and I were never around other wolves until my uncles pack. My parents never even talk to us about how different werewolves lives from humans. I really feel lost now, like a stranger again even among my own kind. I can of course blame my parents for this. Why didn't they talk to us about this life? Where they even planning on bringing Casmir and I into this or did my Dad does not have a choice after my Mom died. I don't even know how she even dead, just one day she wasn't home and my Dad telling us she was gone. So many questions swimming in my head right now that I didn't even noticed that my brother was hugging Maddie with his face on her neck just breathing in her scent. We all sat down to dinner and of course My brother sat with his new mate. I had so many questions in my head, but only one I think they can answer me.

"Hey, can I ask everyone something? Can someone please explain the whole mate thing?"
