Olivia POV
“Attack! Attack! Rogues!”
Teachers and trainers wasted no time and started telling everyone what to do.
The male shifters were to go with trainers and fight if needed, while we females were to follow after our head teacher and go hide in the hidden bunker that had a safe room made for us.
I looked at the cabin in front of the one I was staying in, and I saw Marcus standing near the door, listening to instructions that were given to them. He looked up at me, and I knew he could see the worry in my eyes—I couldn’t hide it. Yes, I knew how to fight, but I was still worried about him and my brother and my friends.
I walked across the little path that divided our cabins and towards him while he moved from his cabin and walked towards me. The moment I was close to him, my heart started racing and Aurora go
/Trigger warning: gore, murder, fighting/ Marcus POV My wolf’s teeth clamped down into flesh, and I could feel the warm, metallic liquid flood my mouth. The thrill of the fight was rushing through my body when suddenly a Rogue wolf jumped on my back and bit my shoulder. I could feel the searing pain from the bite, but choosing to ignore it, I let go of a dead Rogue and slammed my side into a tree, making the one on top of me lose its hold on my shoulder and fall from my back. Without wasting a second, I lunged at him, surprising him and managing to bite into his side, making him yelp in pain. As soon as he was down, I went for his throat and ripped it open. I saw the moment his eyes went glassy, and he was gone. I looked around the field and could see others still fighting off remaining Rogues. I saw Logan and Tanner fighting some, and Logan successful
Olivia POV I stood aside, eyes wide, watching in pure fear as two wolves were fought against Marcus. It was a brutal sight to watch, but I was too afraid to close my eyes. The sounds coming from them tore at my heart. I was worried they would hurt him, but he was fast and strong and magnificent. I checked on Mandy and Lizzy and saw that Mandy was wrapped in a tight hold, securely hiding her face in the chest of none other than my brother James. He was kissing the top of her head and trying to soothe her. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, and I saw her tear-stained face looking up towards him. James wiped away her tears, and when I realized they were about to kiss, I looked away. I searched for Lizzy next, and I saw her lying on the grass under a tree. Her eyes were closed, and a huge wolf was licking her and pushing her arm lightly with his nuzzle. His whimpers wer
Olivia POV After the battle, we were instructed to cut the trip short and return home. Mandy and James surprised everyone when they announced to everyone that they’re mates, so now everyone was preparing for a celebration in honor of our future flock Alpha and Luna. I was happy for them but also envious because they had it easier than both Lizzy and I. Why we were destined to other shifters, who weren’t even Sirens, was beyond my knowledge. Lizzy recovered from her injuries well, and when she woke up, she had a talk with Logan in private, but I didn’t know what they said. School was back in session, and part of me was happy about it since the Opal pack enrolled in our school and we got to see all of our friends again. I w
Olivia POV “I can’t believe he didn’t tell me anything!” Mandy had been complaining since the moment we left my house when Damon picked us up. She even marched into James’s room and went all Hulk on him for not telling her that he knew that Marcus was my mate. Silly, I know. “It’s not that big of a deal, Mandy,” I tried, but she gave the look that said don’t you use that on me. Damon coughed to cover up his chuckling, which earned him a glare from me. “Oh geez. He knows because I told him the day of the attack, so give him break, will you?” Damon looked through the rearview mirror to the back seat where Mandy and I were sitting. Zen was silently sitting next to us, listening to his music on this phone. Lucky guy.
Olivia POV This was bad… so bad. I couldn’t stop repeating the sentence in my head, hearing the voices cheer as they prepared to start counting to five. What was I supposed to do? Oh dear Goddess, please help me get out of this mess. “Should we start from five and count downwards or count from one to five?” I heard someone ask and I groaned silently, thinking to myself that it doesn’t matter where they start the countdown as the results are the same, and that is not a good situation for a little fish like me. I tried to figure out a way to get out of this situation quickly, and then I heard the worst first number that made me freeze. “Let’s start at five and count downwards. Ready guys?” the same guy said, and I cursed at myself, and Mandy and Damon for that matter for putting me in
Two years laterIt has been two years since that horrible birthday where I felt as my heart was being ripped out from my chest. After my fall and crying, the moment I saw Tyson I just didn’t care what he was doing there, why, or even how he knew where to find me.He carried me all the way in his arms, back home.My parents were out of their minds from worry, trying to ask me what happened the day after, but I didn’t speak about it, I felt totally numb.Nights were the hardest. Every time I would lay down in my bed, closing my eyes, I would see his face, hear his voice, it was torture. In school, we avoided each other at some poin
“O, my Goddess! I can’t believe you agreed.” Mandy said raising her arms up in the air in disbelief as she was walking back and forth inside my room.I rolled my eyes at her, “What was I supposed to say? And I said ‘friendly’ not couples like a date so spare me your nagging Mandy.”Looking inside my closet, I tried to find the dress I had in my mind to wear for tonight.Yes, it was Saturday; the week flew by so fast I barely managed to blink with all my studies and assignments I had to do.“What got you to say yes after two years, Ollie?” Mandy stopped walking and looked at me with her eyes narrowed.
Standing there in my room with my mouth gaped, I stared at Lizzy, feeling stunned by her words. She said it so casually, like oh they are back.Oh my Goddess… my eyes widened when it dawned on me, Marcus is back. O no.“Lizzy…” I started to say but was cut off by the front door doorbell ring.At the next moment, I heard my mom call my name, “Ollie! Tyson just came to pick you up, dear.”Exhaling a breath, I answered, “I will be right down in a second.”Lizzy approached me and asked me in a hushed voice, “Are you sure you are doing the right thing?”I was annoyed already by e
It has passed a month already from the last surprise meeting that we had from all the pack’s Alphas and Elders that came to Blue Moon’s pack, to speak with Marcus voicing out what they wished.***Flashback“We want you to be our Alpha King, a ruler of all shifter communities at once.”There was silence as everyone was silently looking at Marcus and his reaction. He stood there silently, looking at the Elder, feeling surprised by his words. His eyes roamed around the hall as he was observing everyone’s faces. As soon as his eyes met mine, I decided to use our mind link and call his
A few days have passed by since the battle between us and the darkness. We have lost so much but at the same time; the battle brought us all in some way, closer together. Finally, I was home, together with my family and my friends once again.Marcus hasn’t left my side, not for once since we got back together, and I wasn’t complaining as I missed him for far too long during the time that we have been apart. In these 5 years that I have been away from Marcus when I was brought to the dark lands, a man that waited for Tyson and me, outside the Elders castle, performed some magic ritual that made my necklace to shine and in an instant, I felt as my bond with Marcus has dimmed down, I couldn’t connect with him in any way anymore nor could I use a mind link,
Marcus POV My heart raced faster when I saw the wide, enormous gap showing up inside the barrier. Finally, I let my lungs to breathe as Damon and Azrael followed me as I rushed towards Talia. Reaching Talia took me only a second as she looked closely into the darkness. Without looking at me, she said, “We have to be careful when we pass this barrier. I can feel the darkness’ strength as it is lurking from inside.” I turned towards Azrael and Damon, “No time is to be wasted, we have to move and find Olivia. Warn the warriors and be careful as we do not know what we might deal against when we pass into
Marcus POV Watching at the little cottage that was in front of us, Azrael said, “Well, here we are. Ready?” he asked, looking over at Damon and me. I nodded my head while Damon said, “Let’s go.” We walked towards the cottage, reaching the front door as Azrael extended his hand and knocked on the door. There was silence as no sound from the inside the cottage came, making me feel restless as my mind started to wonder if maybe Talia was not home. Damon, Azrael and I, looked over at each other, each one of us wondering the same thing, hoping we were wrong. “What if she is not here?” Damon said out loud what we all were thinking, looking towards t
Marcus POVReaching the faraway lands of the forgotten, or as some call them the Dark lands, I could see many warriors patiently waiting for our arrival.I was impatient as finally I was a mere step away to finally reunite with my beloved Olivia.Soon as Damon had landed onto the land that was on the border of the Dark lands, I jumped off of his dragon’s back and went straight forward meeting the warriors.Zen and Wyatt appeared as Azrael and Damon followed behind me. Dragon shifters were all back into their human forms, making it easier for all to communicate among themselves.“There seems to be some kind of invisible barrier that is preventing us from crossing over.” Wyatt said to us all, making m
Marcus POV The time passed and before I knew it; it was already 5 years gone. My search after her never has downed down as I restlessly looked everywhere, in every place, sending search parties to follow leads that were heard only to be fooled away, but I never gave up. There wasn’t a day I stopped my search for even to get some rest, nor I cared for myself as all I wanted was to find her and bring her where she belongs, by my side. Damon and Azrael followed me everywhere, and I was grateful to them both for all their help. The Elders’ court was dismissed as the ones that the day Olivia vanished into the thin air, they fought against us, wanting to keep the Law alive. We decided to grant t
The moment Tyson said those words out loud, there was a silence for a few minutes making Elders think about his request. One of the Elders stood up from his seat as he said, “Tyson is right! It is better to prevent the disaster if we deal with the matter right here and now. The Law should stay.” A few members followed him as they cheered approving the Elder's words, while others looked over at them and Tyson, finally having their eyes set down on us. One of those members stood up and looked over at the members who were more than ready to fight with us now, and said, "We messed with something that we shouldn't have. None of us is a God nor a Goddess to have the right to mess with higher things that as Olivia said we are gifted with. You all saw and heard the words of our Moon Goddess and it shocks me to see that e
It was already early morning when we left Damon’s pack together with all the White Moon’s warriors, Damon, Logan, Tanner, Trent, and Zen, leaving in The Opal pack James and Wyatt as well as Mandy, Annie, and Lizzy, who I must say protested a lot.I was currently riding on my mates wolf, followed closely by Azrael and the warriors as well as our friends.Damon chose to go in his dragon form together with Zen, to keep an eye out from above the sky.I would have felt cold if it wasn't for the warmth that was engulfing me, coming from Marcus. His soft, dark fur was like a cloud, inviting me to snuggle closer, making my arms stretch as far as it was possible, wrapping around his strong neck.Holding tight as we were rushing fast through the forest. I could barely
Standing there, watching Marcus after the challenge had finished, I couldn’t tear my eyes away from him as he stood there tall and proud, surrounded by the White Moon’s warriors. His eyes drifted towards mine, making my heart flutter as all I could feel was the love I have for my mate. A smile crept on my lips, as slowly he approached towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer into his warm, firm body as his lips pressed down on my own. The jolt of power passed through me the moment he kissed me, making my breath hitch from the intensity of the feeling, the feeling of complete and utter love. We made some space in between us, as Marcus turned and surveyed every and each warrior that was waiting for him to speak.
