Soothing her

The afternoon meeting started. Chelsa and the others were also present.

Henry sat right beside Lucy, handing her the files she might need.

“So, last time’s performance….”.

“Give me the blue file,” she said to Henry.

He nods and searched it out, then handed it over right away.

“Thanks.”

When she tried to get out of her seat, her shoulders brushed against Henry’s but she didn’t realize.

As the meeting came to an end, Lucy came over to Henry’s side and helped him to stood up.

She faced the clients and smiled.

“Without the help of our new employee we couldn’t present today’s presentation. Everything happened because of this fellow.” She patted him on the back while praising him.

Henry stared at her with surprised eyes.

Nick saw this, and could only feel irritated every passing minute.

“We are not inferior to that guy.” Chelsa murmured loud enough for Zoe to hear.

“But she never praises us in front of others. This is ridiculous.”

“Maybe we are not so special to mention about,
