Rise from the ash

The air around Lucy was making her feel suffocated, all the things that were going on in her mind were the scene that happened in there, a farce which she hadn’t expected.

All the crowd inside the cafeteria was making her chest tighten. The air tasted like poison, and she couldn’t breathe any longer. She rested her head on the table closing her eyes. The coldness of the table was helping her smooth. The humidity in the air was making her feel sloppy.

In a while, the crowd cleared away and the place was all quiet again. Her phone beeped for a minute. She tried to search for her phone without getting up. It was in her bag, and she opens up her phone. It’s a text message from her husband.

“How did the signing go? You got the deal right? How should we celebrate this?”.
