We increased the length of each of our classes by half an hour so by the time that I was finally done with classes for the night it was almost dinner time. It makes for a long day when I am working nonstop to keep the entire pack safe. Its a necessary long day but still quite exhausting. Still, I need to find time for my own workouts so I am going to have to let Dante know that I might be a little later than normal.
With everybody gone the gym seems to be so gigantic, and quiet. Definitely quiet. I have been surrounded by the noises of training and yelling almost all day. It was necessary for the training but my head definitely needed the break that tonight may bring. I need to go for a run but maybe I can convince Dante to join me for one in the morning before the lessons all start.
As I start with the punching bag I feel like somebody is watching me. Who would be watching me here unless it was one of the pack members? Glancing around, I do not see anybody

"Hey! Make sure that you are not letting her get behind you! Move faster. If a witch gets behind you it could all be over. Move, move move!" I shout at the pair in the ring.Normally I try not to yell at the sparring partners but it is getting more difficult to hold back when they spend so long thinking about their moves that they are not reacting to the actual fight at all. How am I supposed to get them to stop doing this? Is there a way to get them to stop trying to think about their moves so much?"Alright, take a break. I need to think for a moment." All through dinner we found it difficult to talk about much as we were both heavily anticipating news from Natalie and Kiba. Kiba is convinced that it will be a boy but Natalie does not seem to be as sure. Wolf pups do not let us know their gender before they are born as they shift and move so much that it becomes impossible to tell their gender in the womb."Are you as excited as I am to see where this is going to lead the two of them?" I ask Dante excitedly."Of course I am. I have been hoping for something like this to happen for Natalie ever since her mate died. The fact that she found somebody while still pregnant with his child is quite astounding. None of it would have been possible without you though." He says to me."Me? I did not really do anything. The girls all take the news of our friendly competition fairly well after the initial shock of seeing the obstacle course. When they walked into the gym it took them a while to be able to stop staring. I took that time to judge who looked the most excited to try it out. Once they got over the shock it was time for me to make the announcement."Alright all of you lovely women and even you fierce kids. We are going to be starting to train on this wonderfully daunting obstacle course today. I came up with this to help you guys learn to react without thinking as fast. In just a minute I will show you how to make it through the course without getting knocked out but I also have another announcement to make. I think that we all deserve a little more fun. So, in order to achieve this we are going to train differently for the rest of the week. After practice I manage to get a decent workout in before heading back to the pack house for dinner. Dante is still training with the men so I just make myself a sandwich and head over to visit Scarlett for a while. I have not seen her since our announcement so I wonder how the pregnancy is progressing. Pregnancies for werewolves happen to be a bit faster than those for humans so she should be showing at this point.As I walk up her walkway I notice that some of her plants are not doing as well as they were before. I remember that the last time I left I had somehow given them more life so maybe I can do it again? Rosa says that this should be one of my powers that comes naturally to me so I am just going to wing it and see what happens.Reaching out to the first rose bush, I gently stroke some of the branches that are not doing as well. The women were getting much better at the obstacle course by the end of our second day of practice. Most of them could make it through just fine and were just working on their speed when we left that day. I kept the information from Dante during our dinner that night though.Today is the day of the joint practice and the women are all nervous to have to practice in front of the men. If it goes well then maybe we can do joint practices once a week. Dante is having the men stretch and warm up elsewhere before meeting us here. Practice will be a bit cramped in the gym but we can make it work.The men finally arrive as we finish up our warm ups. They walk in like they are trying to intimidate us. They do not make eye contact with any of the women but me. They all stare at me on their way into the gym. The women are all silent as they watch their mates and family members walk in and act like they do not know each other. Time to show them what their women are really made of.

At dinner after we get done with our joint practice Dante seems as if he is torn between gloating and feeling sorry for me. I am a little smug at how practice went but I do not want Dante knowing that I am happy with anything. Little does he know but we played them during practice. We have went through the course way too many times for us to be doing that bad at it still."You know, if you do not want to do the competition tomorrow we don't have to. Or we could switch up teams so I can have some women mixed in with some of the men and vice versa." He offers trying to placate me."No, that is alright. We have worked hard to get to where we are and I do not want to abandon the women now. They have shown real improvement the last couple of days so I am sure that we can hold our own. This is it! The big morning! Today is the day of the competition. I am ecstatic! I send a short pep talk to all of my girls and get up to get ready. After last night I feel energized and ready to go. Checking the clock, I still have time to go for a jog before the competition starts so I throw on a pair of gym shorts and a crop top and head outside.I have not jogged through the neighborhood much so this might be a chance to see places that I have not seen before.
